Sheer Cover Minerals Photos

This is for all those who've asked me what I think about Sheer Cover. This is my friend's and I have not used it personally, but she does like it a lot. And I must admit, I was quite impressed with the packaging and all the extra free stuff that came along with it, including a compact lipgloss/eyeshadow palette, small kabuki brush in a black satin pouch, etc.

Sheer Cover is quite *hot* in my hometown. Women order it and impatiently wait for its arrival! =D

What people I know who use it have to say about it:

  • "It gives a natural look"
  • "It covers all dark spots and patches"
  • Everything is *sooo* cute! :)
The following photos are of Sheer Cover ~ Medium

Lakme Pure Rouge Blusher ~ Peach Affair Photos & Swatch

Description :

Pure Rouge is a pure pressed powder blusher that provides sheer, lightweight application. Color builds lightly layer after layer without heavy coverage.
The natural shades delicately highlight the apples of your cheeks and add a warm glow to your complexion.

Peach Affair is a reddish peach shade with tiny gold flecks. It would suit darker skin tones more, in my opinion. But it would look fine on lighter skin tones too if applied sparingly.

Other shades available :

July Favorites ~ Featuring Colorbar, MAC, NYX, Marc Jacobs, Body Shop etc

I am loving so many things right now. These are just a few of my favorite things. Must-have products and worth every penny!

Marc Jacobs Daisy (RM.213.00)
Marc Jacobs Daisy is THE perfume for the girly girl. I just couldn't leave it behind when I left Delhi. If you tend to get motion sickness while travelling and strong perfumes make you feel nauseous, this is the one for you coz the fragrance is so soft & subtle. Plus the bottle design is beyond cuteness, would you really care how it smells? ;)

Guest Swatch ~ Avon Simply Pretty 'Cherry Red'

I fell in love with Avon Simply Pretty 'Cherry Red' when I saw my friend Careen wearing it, so I had to click a pic to post it here. It is so GORGEOUS! I'm gonna order one for myself ;)

In the pic above,  it's without a top coat, which I think would make it look even more pretty.

The Hottest Nail Colors & A Few Dupes in India

I am on a 'Dupes' hunting spree these days. So, when Instyle listed the 15 HOTTEST Nail Colors a few weeks ago, I took printouts of all the nail polishes and went looking for dupes, ignoring the puzzled stares of shopkeepers =D

I couldn't find dupes for all of them in one market though.

Nails inc ~ Eden Grove
Isn't that a cute bottle?! And such an unusual nail polish shade. No dupe found. Yet.

Deborah Lippmann ~ Between the Sheets
There is a similar shade in Chambor, in a teeny tiny bottle

MAC To The Beach Collection India Launch Date

Who's waiting impatiently for MAC To The Beach Collection? It's old news to most countries who are now "Grooving" to 'kiss from a 'Rose'' playing on their 'Stereo' and flaunting their 'Petticoats'
But we, in Bharat, are still waiting on the edge of our seats for a taste of the beach before we can get into the groove.

Bourjois Blushes ~ History, All Shades & Photos

Since I'm such a BIG fan Bourjois, I've been asked a lot of times about what I think about their blushers. I've bought just one blush before now, which was Bonne Mine 13  , a pretty shade but looked too red on me, so I decided to make it a prize in my first ever giveaway  last year

Then after that I was too busy buying their 'new launches' until last week. I got 2 of the little round pots, and now I want ALL of them :P

~ A little about the history behind these little round pots ~

Source: Bourjois website

It all started in the 19th century, when Alexander Napoleon Bourjois began making light quality stage make-up for actresses, because he thought thick and messy greasepaint made of fat resulted in a mask-like effect.  The first dry powder make-up was called 'Rouge Fin De Theatre'

Then in 1863, he created a baked 'dry' powder that was perfumed with a delicate rose scent, which was made accessible not only to actresses but all women in decorated cardboard boxes (which I think I would like better) The blusher was dry-baked in a dry room in the Bourjois factory in Pantim, a suburb in Paris.

However, the dry baked  blushers were given names to describe their colors until 1879, one of the first being 'Rosette Brune' Can you believe this classic shade still exists today??? It's now called 'Cendre de Rose Brune' (3rd in the pics below) I didn't know! Otherwise I would've bought it without a second thought!

You can read more about the history in the Bourjois website. On to the blushes......

There are matte and shimmery with golden flecks Bourjois blushes. The ones with gold shimmer are all the ones with the word "d'or" at the end. 'D'or' means 'golden' in French.

Here are 15 shades of the blushes available in India. ENJOY!

LOTD ~ MAC Pret-a-Papier Meets Lakme Night Fever

I was requested to do a look with the Mac Coral Crepe Paintpot from Pret-a-Papier Collection, but I thought it would be fun to do the whole brown paper outfit thing =D
I learnt something from all the boring Drafting classes in Fashion School after all ;)

Please excuse the peeping cupboard. I just couldn't close it!

Guess What These Are.......

My first guesses when I laid my eyes on these were:
  • Vases. But where do you put the flowers? Huh? *confused*
  • Fancy water & wine bottles
  • Some kind of show pieces
  • Rolling pin (nah...I'm not that dumb =D )
  • Bottle style piggy bank! lol.....
  • Umm...I don't know, but I know I want them!

Garnier Mineral Deodorants ~ For Men & Women Review

Garnier Mineral Deodorant is a 48hr anti-perspirant with Mineralite, a naturally absorbent mineral of volcanic origin. It lets skin breathe and is quick-dry and soft to the touch.

Enriched with Perlite which has 5x the absorbing power of talc.
0% Alcohol (ethyl alcohol) and dermatologically tested.

I got the Extreme Cool for Men & Extra Care for Women

Extreme Cool Intense Cooling For Men Review:

First things first, it smells good. The fragrance is very similar to some Fa deos, very oceanic or as it says in the bottle ~ Aqua Fresh.
It is cooling, but you feel the coolness only briefly when you've just sprayed it on.

Your Comments Will Vanish!

Blogger is shi**y today. I've lost some comments.
Don't know what the heck is going on, so I apologize if you commented and your comments vanished.

Other bloggers are also facing the same problem.

Weird.

Lakme Night Fever Eye Magic & Glide On Eye Color Review and Swatches

Lakme Night Fever Collection By Suneet Verma

Eye Magic

Description
The lightweight, translucent gel comes with quick dry formula that fixes the sparkle in place. Paint crystalline lines for a soft look or sweep the entire eyelid for a jewel encrusted look. Can be used as an eye shadow or as a highlighter for cheeks or any other part of the body in classic shades of gold and silver for a subtle, pearly shine.
Price ~ Rs.295

Review:

The Good ~ These are very shimmery and light weight. The sparkle looks gorgeous on the lids. They do dry quickly. The doe foot applicator is perfect to get the color right where you want it. I love them because they give the same effect as pigments without the mess. You can apply a little or more depending on how much shimmer you want.

MAC Pearlglige Intense Eye Liner Petrol Blue Swatch

MAC Pearglide Intense Eye Liner (Rs.920)

What it is:
A creamy kohl-like eye liner with a sparkly reflective finish.

This eye liner is "OMG so smooth and creamy!" But it does not smudge easily and looks like it would last long too, coz it takes a while to get it off my hand with a tissue.

Deep Navy with light blue & silver sparkles

I have a feeling that I'll be going back for more  Pearlglides.

MAC Pret-a-Papier Collection ~ Haul & Swatches

Mac is no different from the Indian Loreal &  Maybelline. From the Pret-a-Papier Collection, they did not launch the Impeccable Brow Pencils and the Chromagraphic Pencils in India =[
The 2 things that I really really wanted!

Damn them!

Oh well, I just bought two products from this collection and I must say, they should have made the packaging different and paper-like (?).....

Coral Crepe Paint Pot (Rs. 1050)

Made To Order Lipstick (Rs.920)

~ Swatches ~

Both coral & very similar

I almost got the Instant Chic blush too but I'm glad I didn't coz it's nothing special. Not something that I have to get right now anyways.

So, did you all get anything from this collection?
