Lippie HAUL After Lipstick Buying Ban

So my self-imposed Lipstick Ban is officially O-V-E-R. I had a lot to say about it, but the Notepad I'd written on is in my old laptop that broke down some days ago, and it just won't turn back on! If I sit here and try to re-write it, this post will be up.....I don't know when! The gist is at the end of this post......

Perfect Liquid Highlighter ~ Affordable & Benefit High Beam Dupe!

Ooh, like Benefit High Beam!
That's my first thought when I chanced on this amazing highlighter ~ Faces Metaliglow Highlighter in shade #02. It's the type of highlighter that you can go overboard with and it still won't make you look like a disco ball - because there are no chunky shiny particles in it. It's just p-e-r-f-e-c-t for every day & every occasion, because it subtly illuminates skin. Really, it was such a pleasant surprise that I liked it A LOT from the very first time it grazed my cheek bones!

How To Use: Apply 3-4 dots on top of your cheekbones, blend them & then dust some loose powder on top. Apply some on your brow bones, nose bridge & cupid's bow too if you want to enhance them.

Faces Metaliglow 02 Swatch ~ I think this shade is called Pink Pearl. It does have a pinkish tint, which disappears when you blend it out.

Purple Glitter Eye Makeup Tutorial

Pink Glitter 'Vs' Purple Glitter = Purple got the most votes (here). So here is the tutorial....finally!

I apologize for the delay. This is the 2nd time I did this pictorial - because I didn't like the first one too much & also, I kept searching for my Inglot Duraline to use with the glitter, hoping I'd find it, only to realize I'd sold it off in a Blog Sale! So I had to go old school, so as not to delay it any further.

STEP 1: After priming lids with an eyeshadow primer, apply purple eyeshadow on lids up to your crease line.

STEP 2: Also apply purple e/s on outer half of lower lash line.

STEP 3: Take some pink e/s on a blending brush, and sweep it along the edges of the purple e/s in a window wiper motion. Run the brush along the purple line on lower lash line as well. Blending tutorial here.

STEP 4: With a pointy pencil brush, apply a brown e/s on the outer V of upper lid.

STEP 5: Shade inside the V. Take more brown e/s to intensify the color.

STEP 6: With the same pencil brush, take a lilttle bit of matte black e/s, and make a V along the inner edges of the previous brown e/s. Just a little to define the crease line a little bit more (especially if you don't have a deep crease line), coz we don't black to overpower the other colors.

STEP 7: It should look something like that.

Makeup Look ~ Sparkle Eyes

Hi all, hope you all had a great weekend & a fun-filled Holi yesterday. Spring is here! =)

I did this makeup on Friday just as practice for the glitter eye makeup tutorial I said I would do. By night time, I was thinking: 'Gosh, so I won't be taking this kind of makeup to a nightclub for a long long time!' =D
This is now my go-to smoky eye makeup (of course minus the glitter on regular days), and it's quite easy to do and doesn't take much time. Stay tuned for the step-by-step tutorial.

14 New Beauty Products On My Nightstand ~ From India & UK

For the last couple of weeks, I've been seriously craving GLITTER. I wanted some glitter eye shadows, badly. I have some, but they're all in our old apartment far away (and they are not very interesting.) I was so excited when I found some yesterday in Lifestyle. If you are not at all interested in glitter jhatakness, worry not, there are more things you can look at, coz it is sort of a Collective Haul post.
Faces Stackable Sparkle Glitter ~ Look! Aren't they super cute stacked up like that?! Colors: Silver, Gold, White, Blue, Pink, Purple. I know exactly what I'm sprinkling on my eyes first. Price: Rs.499
Faces Sparkle Dust in Light Pink ~  I noticed this before the glitters. These also come stacked, but I just a single for now. Price: Rs.200-something.
L'Oreal Stain Splash in Lolita (Nude) & Marilyn (Fuchsia) ~ Quite disappointed with these, coz they don't have as much color payoff as the first shade I'd tried, Princess (swatched here)
Lakmé Gloss Stylist in Pink Pout ~ Thought I should give one of these a try, since I have not got new Lakmé products in a long time. Will swatch it and let you know if it's worth the Rs.700 price tag.
