Quick Tip For Long & Strong Nails

I was just going to Instagram this, but I thought why not share it with everyone! Lately, my nails are growing unnaturally fast and are noticeably thick & strong. For months they've been breaking & peeling easily, that's why I noticed it more. Before I clip & file them to a comfortable length, I wanted to show you.
I think it's the Aloe Vera products I'm using:
  • Carex Aloe Vera Hand Wash ~ I just love how this smells!
  • Vaseline Aloe Fresh Body Gel
*But I use the hand wash more on my hands.
I did some googling, and found out Aloe Vera has nail strengthening properties. I never knew that!
Ladies in India, try with Brihan's Aloe Vera Gel. It's my holy grail product that I keep in the fridge all the time.

Have any of you experienced this?

Dear Vaseline, India Needs This.....

If I were in Delhi right now, I know I'd be putting my body lotion in the fridge. Actually, I'd be putting a lot of beauty products in the fridge. Sometimes, lipsticks too.
These days, it's warmer here in Scotland, and we don't need the radiators anymore, but I still need to wear socks & sweaters. Then I'd feel stuffy, and my ankles would start itching.... I'd start scratching them like a wild animal.....and I'd end up with red bumps. This not only happened with me, but with Mr.CZ as well. So you can imagine us watching Breaking Bad & scratching our legs.
Ever since I started using Vaseline Aloe Fresh Hydrating Body Gel, my skin hasn't acted up like that again. The man also used it once or twice, and I guess his skin is also in a zen state because I haven't heard "Heat! Heat, honey!" since then.
Since it's a gel, it is very light and feels like a slightly thicker water. It moisturizes skin but leaves it looking matte, and makes it feel smoother. Cools the body after a hot shower, smells refreshing, LOVE! It would be perfect for our Indian summers.
So, when I go back to India (in a few month, woop!), I want to be able to still get my hands on it.

Price ~ £2.33  |  Rs.215  from Superdrug. It will obviously be priced lower in India (I hope!)

Don't you feel cooler just by looking at it? =)

Reader's Request ~ Skincare Kit For Oily/Combination & Acne Prone Skin

This was requested by a very sweet reader Priyanka J, who has Oily/Combination & Acne-prone skin.

I believe a skincare routine should be simple, when it comes to problem skin. If you have acne, it's better not to confuse your skin more by switching from product to product and "irritate" it
When I get a big pimple sometimes, I feel it has a mind of its own. Like it's saying to me "Don't you let those things gang bang me, or else....=[" =D

Here are the products I'd pick (and I do use most myself) for Oily/combination & Acne Prone skin.

~ Cleansers ~
First and foremost, you have to get a cleanser that is very well suited for your skin type. A childhood friend of mine have been suffering from acne for most of her life - face and body! And the last time I saw her, there wasn't a pimple on her face and she was glowing! So, I asked her what she used. She told me that she read in a magazine that "when you have acne, it's better to use a Foam Cleanser rather than a gel-based one" (hehe...I hope she read this =D)
She then started using Pond's Flawless White Facial Foam, and it made all the difference.
Other cleansers you can use......

Cetaphil when pimples are at their peak and hurt. You gotta have one with salicylic acid like Clean & Clear cleansers for acne.

THE SAVIOUR- Brihans Green Leaf Gel

I can't rave enough about Green Leaf Gel (aloe vera gel) by Brihans. There are other brands in the market, but I found that this is the best one I've used so far. Used on burns, cuts, rashes, pimples, insect bites, swelling, redness, sun burn, minor wounds etc.
Soothes skin after shaving, waxing and tweezing. First aid for earring hole infection, diaper rash (which even women get from sanitary pads), shoe cuts and blisters, eczema, acne, and the list goes on...
I also like to apply this on the soles of my feet after walking in heels all day.
Best used out of the fridge, in my opinion (even in winters.)
