Makeup When You Look DRAB

You know that "Pregnancy Glow" you keep hearing about? Well, not every knocked up woman gets to wear it like a halo. Most days, I feel like a lazy kangaroo with lacklustre waist-length hair. I'm too tired to prettify myself, and I've developed a habit of doing my makeup halfway too - BB cream, powder, a bit of brown eyeshadow on the crease....okay, that's it.
On this particular day, I made an effort to brighten myself (and mood) up. I'll jot down a few mini tips, and I hope my 'baby brain' will still translate my thoughts into words that make sense.

Lipstick BAN!

Phew.
I feel like I'd been running.
My heart - it's beating a mile a minute.
I can do this.
It's not like I'm doing something scary.
Like, bungee jumping....
or giving a Walking Dead walker a makeover!
It's a good thing.
I have a good feeling about it.
I feel rich already!
Maybe I'll buy an IPL team one day.
I know nothing about Cricket, but still.
I'll sit near the field... wearing a white hat with black sunglasses & MAC Ruby Woo.
Very Jacqueline Kennedy - with a modern touch.
Virat Kohli, Nita Ambani, Preity Zinta & Shahrukh Khan will cordially wave hello.
Maybe Forbes will.....
Oh, stop it!

Hello, my fellow lipstick lovers! I'll just rip the band-aid off real quick and say it. I'M BANNING LIPSTICK SHOPPING. Meaning: I will not be buying lipsticks & lip glosses anymore....this year.

Reason for Lipstick Ban: Because I'm looking at bigger things (not IPL team), and I want to start saving. I have a fairly addictive personality, and I hoard quite a lot of things - not just makeup & shoes. Right now, it's furniture & home stuff. So, I feel I need to cut back somewhere. After a lot of pondering and making a number of wretched faces, it's lipsticks that didn't get cancelled out from the list of options. Oh, I'm also reading a book about spending less...taking a good look at where your money goes....how little things add up....blah blah blah. I've only read a few pages, but it has made me feel guilty already.
Just to give an idea of the how things add up part, let's take a look at how much have already gone to lipsticks this year - from the month of January to April only:

 MAC Lipstick- Rs.990
MAC Lipstick - Rs.990
Lancome Lipstick- Rs.1750
Revlon Lipstick - Rs.800
Revlon Lipstick - Rs.800
Revlon Lipstick - Rs.800
Bourjois Lipstick - Rs.995
Maybelline Lip Gloss - Rs.350

Total = Rs.7475.

8 lipsticks in 4 months, which makes it 2 lipsticks per month. If I go at the same rate (possibly more, judging by my MAC & YSL lipstick wishlist), I'll be saving roughly over.....Okay, I'll stop now. We don't really talk about money here. And honestly, we don't really know how to calculate.

Ban Duration:  Till Christmas, or sometime next year. Yes, I'm that serious.

When does it start? Already started. BUT I will - I should - allow myself to buy one to tw---three lipsticks that have long been on my wishlist for my birthday this month. This was a sudden decision, and I never had that last drink! So, it'll officially start from June.

Update: When it's over, I will write a post on how this ban changed my life - if it did.

If you would like to join me in this, then every week we'll take out 3-5 lipsticks that we'll use that week. This way, we show some love to all those lipsticks that we shove to the corner of the drawer because we keep buying new ones.
I'll be picking 5 lipsticks from my stash every week and post pics on my Instagram. I'll try not to cheat & stick to the ones I've picked.

I hope this BAN will inspire you in some way. If not to stop buying stuff and saving, then maybe to make that small change in your life that you have been thinking about.

Good Luck to us all! =D

Lancôme Rouge In Love Rose Boudoir Dupe?

Here is proof that this is my favorite lipstick shade. I've had my eye on Lancôme Rouge In Love Rose Boudoir for months, after trying the first shade I bought, Midnight Rose (post here). When I got Bourjois Rouge Edition Fraise Remix, I fell in love with it, but I didn't realize that the shades are very very similar.....until a couple days ago. Some people might feel disappointed having bought a lipstick shade they already had in the first place, but for dupe-hunting beauty bloggers like myself, it is one of the best feelings. Like you've conquered something. Ya, conquer type of feeling. Like in chess......okay, I know nothing about chess.

Valentine's Day Presents & Handbag Of The Day

Mr.CZ: 'What do you want for Valentine's Day?'
Me: 'I don't know. Surprise me.'
Mr. CZ: 'Uhh....I can't think of anything!'

Me: 'You know what I want.'

Mr.CZ: 'You mean that?'

Me: *Grin* 'Yes.'

Later.....

Me: 'Nah, I don't want that anymore. It's cute, but I know I won't use it. I don't want anything anymore, actually.'

Later.....

Me: 'I know what I really want now. This.'

Mr.CZ: 'Okay, let's order this from Amazon. We may or may not have to pay duty.'

Later.....

Me: 'Nah, I don't want this anymore. I don't want anything anymore. Leave it.'

Later.....

Me: 'Okay then. I want Make-up. Just take me shopping.'

So, we went to DLF Promenade Mall the other day:
Lancôme Rouge In Love Lipstick in 340B Rose Boudoir
MAC Please Me Matte Lipstick
MAC 217 Blending Brush
INGLOT Eye Makeup Base 01
INGLOT Translucent Loose Powder #210
* 2 more things should have been here, but I'm getting them next week. *
Floozie Black patent charm mini cross body bag/purse ~ LOVE this French designer! The bags are so cute & quirky. I found this on sale one day in Debenhams Dundee (Scotland). I'm taking it out for the first time today.
Me: 'And what do YOU want?'
Mr.CZ: 'Nothing.'

Me: 'What?! You must want something.'

Mr.CZ: 'PS4.'

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you celebrating it & Happy Uncomplicated Day to all who are not celebrating it =D
Looking at this wet & cold Delhi weather, I don't feel like going out anymore. Tempted to just stay home with a movie. On top of that, I have a bad cold and some fever =\
Okies, will talk to you again soon. If you follow me on Instagram & CZloves Facebook Page, you know what is coming shortly, stay tuned! =)

Oh, and I loveeee you......

Lancôme Rouge In Love Lipstick Midnight Rose ~ Look & Swatches

I planned to post this at exactly 00:00 am (IST), midnight, to make it poetic. But of course it didn't happen, because editing took longer.
Lancôme Rouge In Love Lipstick in Midnight Rose 377N is a fuchsia shade. It's weird that although it's glossy, it's so long-lasting, even more long-lasting than some matte lipsticks! When layered, it passed the kissing test, and I think it could easily live up to it's 6 hours claim. When I'm wearing it, I always see it on my lips- never drying, never flaky.

Very very impressed with the unique finish & quality. I want at least one more shade from this range.
If you're wondering how similar it is to Deborah Milano Red #9: Midnight Rose leans towards pink, whereas DMR 9 leans towards red.

Saturday Hauls ~ Lancome, ZARA, New Look

I feel like I bored you all with nonsense this week, or I just bored myself. I don't know why I'm behind on everything! Before I go ahead and disconnect myself from the online world this weekend (or just tonight), here are some haul pics for you.....
  • Lancome Rouge In Love Lipstick 377N Midnight Rose ~ It took all of my will power to put aside my natural tendency to pick corals & pinks. Price: £21 | Rs.1962.
  • New Look Coral Earrings ~ Saw them once, then I went back. Price: Half Off from £7, so £3.50 | Rs.327.
So pweety!

Last Saturday's Haul.....
ZARA Court Shoes ~ I was shocked that these fit me! Size 36. More shocked because the other Zara size 36 shoes are too big for me. That's why I love these so much! Oh, there were only two pairs size 36's available - one was blacker but looser on my feet; other was brand new, never tried by anyone (tissue still wrapped on the straps) & they fit me better but the suede was less black and had more lint (read: looked dirty). I had to pick the latter, of course... hehePrice: On Sale, about 50% Off, so about £15.99 |  Rs.1494.

New Products/Haul ~ Last Pics With My Beloved Stolen Camera

Hey Everyone,

Happy New Year! I'm back home & getting back to blogging. Hope you all are enjoying the first few days of 2012.

Before I left for my vacation, I clicked some pics of some new products I hauled in December with my Panasonic Lumix, which was stolen along with my handbag in Goa . It was an amazing camera & I loved it so much! I didn't care about the money and everything else in that bag, I just wanted the camera back. I can buy the exact same one but it won't be the same- like the 2nd Hugsy wasn't the same to Joey in Friends.Everybody kept saying "Forget it. It's gone, nothing you can do about it now." What they don't realize is, a little part of me died inside.

Take a look at the last photos I clicked with it.....

Lancome Glowy Ballerine Butterflies Fever Blush

You know that kick you feel when you get the very last Limited Edition product available in a store?

Okay, imagine getting the very last LE product in, not one, but 2 countries.

I went asking for the Lancome Butterflies Fever Blush in KL & Singapore, and got it until a few days before leaving KL from 1 Utama Mall. By that time, I was only asking if it was available out of habit, and had predicted the answer- not "Out Of Stock', "Finished". But then....

Lancome SA ~ Hesitated first,"We might have ONE left."
She pulled a drawer in front of us. My hubby and I looked at each other, holding our breaths (he was tired of me whining over this for months, so it's important to him that I get this as well) She took it out, opened it to show us, and I exhaled.
"We held this for a customer, but....." I couldn't hear her anymore.

Glowy Ballerine was launched with Lancome's Ultra Lavande Collection, Spring 2011.
