Lakmé Absolute Monochrome Collection & Kareena Kapoor's Day & Night Looks

Pioneering beauty trends for the modern and bold Indian woman, Lakmé launched its latest style statement – Lakmé Absolute Monochrome – a collection of chic, edgy and glamourous looks styled to perfectly suit the contrasting roles of the Indian woman. The Monochrome Day and Monochrome Night Looks highlighted the ramp at the Lakmé Grand Finale adorned by the creations of fashion visionaries Kallol Datta and Pankaj-Nidhi.
Sharply graphic, Monochrome is a look that reflects the color blocking trend in fashion, and channels attention to one part of the face to maximize the impact of make-up. Lakmé Absolute Monochrome looks have been put together with the Lakmé Absolute range of high performance make-up. Color vignettes for face, lips, eyes and nails, this range promises intense color and a flawless finish along with a 16-hour impeccable performance. Packed with skin enhancing ingredients, this super luxurious long wear range perfectly balances beauty and science

ORANGE Outfit & My Last Day At LFW

I almost forgot to post these pics, you know. So this was what I wore on the last day of Lakmé Fashion Week- all ORANGE, but not up to my ankles, like at the school farewell party I told you about here =D
Hope you'll enjoy the pics! Please excuse some of the unclear/blurry ones. Only MY own hands can control my camera =\

My Favorite Make-up Looks & Hairstyles At Lakmé Fashion Week

I want to share with you guys my favorite looks done by Lakmé Studio at Lakmé Fashion Week. Maybe you'll be inspired to try out some new looks this season, like I am.
Make-up looks: I picked all wearable & universally flattering ones.
Hair? Well, one is holding 5% of my hopes & dreams.

Make-up:
  1. Smoldering Peach ~ This look is flattering on almost all skin tones. It has made me reach for my peach blushes on most days. Imagine it without any peachy-ness on the eyes. Right, it won't look balanced. So when wearing peach blush & lipstick, try to add a little bit of peach eyeshadow on your lids too. However, you can skip the peach blush. Make-up symmetry :)
  2. Gold eyes & Red lips ~ This is a Blair Waldorf kind of look- very classy. Skip blush, or sweep a little bronzing powder under your cheekbones.
  3. Neutral ~ Eyes are understated in this look- just some light brown eyeshadow, black kohl, and false lashes. A pale pink lipstick complements the eyes perfectly. Tip: Pair this look with a white outfit/shirt & some dull gold jewelry.
  4. Fairy Cheeks ~ Yes, glitter cheeks can get messy, but there are always theme parties to go too. For regular night outs, apply the glitter on the center of your lids instead- both gold & silver glitter would look nice against peach eyeshadow.

Life Of An Official Beauty Blogger

We pretend to tweet in style

In other words, we are Media-Journalist  *ahem*

2 girls to me in hotel lobby: "Can we have passes for Rocky S show?"
Me: "No.", I pursed my lips & shook my head. Then I realized I sounded like a teacher who's not allowing a student to go pee. "I don't have the passes." I added quickly.
Girl 1: "But you are wearing the LFW badge", she pointed at it.
Me: "Yes, but I don't give out passes", I smiled kindly.
Girl 1: "Oh. So, what are you here?"
Me: "I'm only a blo.... I'm a journalist.", I said seriously, and dialed a number for some over-the-phone last minute shopping.
We are the only tiny/dainty thing in a dress- in a crowd of male media photographers

Big Buns & Glam Makeup by Lakmé Studio, Day-5 Lakmé Fashion Week

The last day at LFW Talent Box was all about big buns (up north!). Lakmé Studio created 2 types of buns- side & center. They looked so good that I'm thinking about getting some clip-on extensions & hair stuffing for myself, so I can do one someday. The make-up was nude & peachy & glittery- super pretty!

I really liked the looks on Day 3 Lakmé Fashion Week. Soft smokey peach eyes, peachy lips, sleek hair-wrapped-around ponytails, and straight shiny locks. The airbrush makeup looked fantastic! See for yourself....

On Day-3 of Lakmé Fashion Week, I got to try out Lakmé Studio's 'Ultimate Blow Dry'. It was amazing, especially since I hardly spend time on styling my hair most times. Take a look at the transformation......

Lakmé Studio At Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2012 Day-1 Photos & My OOTD

My first day at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2012 felt so surreal. It was so busy! I went at around 4 PM, and left at 7 PM. My feet hurt & I couldn't feel them anymore coz I stuffed my shoes so tightly, so my heels wont slip out when I walk, that the blood didn't flow to my toes =D. But it was a good 1st experience, I met some wonderful people & clicked a lot of photos!

Lakmé Studio at Talent Box, is filled with chicas getting free make-overs by the team. They do everything
beauty related:
  • Makeup
  • Airbrush Make-up
  • Nail Art
  • Hair Styling ~ Anything without water: Blowdry, Ironing, Curling, etc.

I'm Lakmé Studio's Official Blogger at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2012

I will be the Official Blogger for Lakmé Studio/Salon at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2012 Talent Box, from 2nd - 6th March, 2012, at Grand Hyatt Mumbai.

I feel so honored & treasure this baby (blog) a bit more now. Lakmé Studio is sponsoring everything- my plane tickets & hotel. I'll be staying at Grand Hyatt, where LFW is held. Yippee...I'm so happy that I just have to take a lift down & not have to deal with cab drivers everyday.

I'm excited to see what goes on at LFW,  looking forward to finally meet the kind people whom I've been interacting with for a long long time via emails, and  make-up & beauty enthusiast in me is thrilled to see all the fab looks that'll be created by Lakmé Studio Experts.

During that time, I'll be blogging from there & share what's happening & photos with you guys everyday.

But right now, "Official Blogger" is going M-A-D!
  • I have to make up my mind which final 5 'Fashion Week Appropriate' outfits to pack. More difficult when I'll have to dress up out of a suitcase.
  • I don't have the shoes I want to wear. You know no store sells my size. I have to make do with old blahs & uncomfortables.Steve Madden, Aldo, Charles & Keith aren't empathetic shoe brands, I tell you.
  • I'm trying my best to fully cure my flu NOW (steam inhalations, Vit-C, pills....green tea, ugh)
  • My skin is in bad condition- 4 scarry pimples on cheek & chin. Of course they had to appear when they aren't supposed to, no? =\
  • Aaah!

But I have to, can't wait to, be there!

I'll be meeting people I've never met before, so please wish me luck! I don't want to be a nervous wreck....or trip in my uncomfortable shoes =D

Any of you attending LFW, btw? Maybe we'll meet? :)
