I don't know if this is a post you would be interested in, but I couldn't help myself, because.....

THEY ARE TOO CUTE!!!

When the lockdown was lifted a bit, and we could take walks outside (the apartment, yes),

I realized that he needed new shoes, coz he's growing fast.

He's obsessed with MARIO & the whole gang, so I'm very happy I found these on 

ZARA at the right time.

I adore them so much that I don't want Zii to wear them outside & make them dirty ;p

I'm kidding, he'd already worn them & walked on the mud/grass, and I was cool about it.

He assisted me in this photoshoot, btw :)

Favourite Baby Beauty Products 2019

Ziizayne is turning 5 years old in less than 10 days, and I'm quite surprised that I have never done a baby beauty post!

There isn't a lot of baby bath/beauty brands here in India, so I seem to rotate among only a few brands. Also, I'm staying away from skincare products that have Parabens.

When My Son Turned 3....

He sometimes likes to hold my foot when I'm feeding him. He'd be sitting on his highchair, and then he'd suddenly point to the floor asking me to do something, then I'd realize he's asking me to lift my right foot on to his chair so he can hold & pet it - like a cat.

He calls our helper Naseeba, "Maaseeya"

He calls Banana, "Bananana"

He calls Ants, "Mosquitoes"

He thinks the Eiffel Tower is a Giraffe.

He calls out, "Mommy! Mommy! Kissee, Kissee! Come, Huggiee!" , and stretches out his arms.

I'd rush to his side filled with affection for him & when I get there, he'd tell me to change his  Youtube video!

He says one of his white cars is a "1997 Truck". I have no idea if it's a fact or he made it up.

That's Ziizayne, my baby, who turned 3 on 14th October. 

(I know, I'm 2 days late with this post!)

20 Months In Mommyland....

Me: "Baby, say Mommy. Mommm-mmmy. Can you say Mommy?"

Ziizayne: "tuhpaashukarruhkuh..."

Me: "No, baby. Say, Mommmm-mmmmeeeee."

Ziizayne: "kafuhrraratuh...."

Me: "C'mon baby pie, you can say it. Say Mama..."

Ziizayne: "tuhtuheeeyo..."

Me: "Maaaaa......"

Ziizayne: "taotaofuhfuhshuh...."

Me: "Okay, then."

About 10 minutes later:

Me: BABY, NOOOOO!!! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO STAND ON MY LAPTOP???!!! YOU WANT ME TO SLAP YOU?!!!

Ziizayne: "Mamamamamama....." *Jumps on me, grabs my face &presses his drooly mouth on my cheek* 

Me: "Awwwww....are you saying Mommy? You are so smart, my baby!!!"

And that's the only time he ever really said that. He says "Mom-mom", but to my utter disappointment he means his pacifier or sometimes food =D

He can say "Cars" (his obsession) & he tries to say "Shoes",  but no "Mommy". Little bugger.

He is 20 months old today. Yup, a toddler who can't even lie still when I change his diaper! You should see me after his bath time. I always look like I'd just crawled from the Sahara Desert.

Will have to end this post abruptly guys.

We're in Hong Kong at the moment. Wanted to take this one to Disneyland. 

He watches Lion King, Tangled, Frozen, Wreck It Ralph, from start to finish like he can understand everything, so I hope he'll be thrilled! 

As for me, I didn't pack much from India (not even an eyeshadow palette!) *grins*

THE LAST TIME.....

You know what I absolutely love doing? Picking tomato seeds from tomato fried rice, which I make for Ziizayne. If I could, I'd make a whole bucket of tomato rice (with extra tomatoes, of course) and be at it all day. I'm serious! I enjoy picking little odd things out of little things.

You know what I absolutely hate doing? Packing & house moving. Today is the last day I'll be in this house. We're moving to a hotel tomorrow, and will be there until the work at our new place is done. Right now all I want is a back/head/leg massage.....and to sleep for a week.

Since I did a 'First Time' in this apartment post, I thought I'd do a 'Last Time' in it, as well.

If you read my First Time post, you will realize that we were greeted by a monkey & were also chased out by a (bigger) monkey =D (Read here)

Monkey menace aside, we decided to move to a smaller place. Until now, we were living in a 4BHK with 5 bathrooms (6 if we count the helper's quarter), and not only was it hard to maintain, it never felt cosy, and...I don't know, something or the other kept going wrong.

So we are moving to a 3BHK with only 3 bathrooms, where the rooms are much more compact.

Lesson Learned: Never buy lots of baby clothes, leave them in the shopping bag, and then forget what all you've bought. Also, take a quick look at brand new clothes before next shopping trip.

When September Ends.....

So I was listening to Radio One (94.3 FM) in the car one evening,

Male RJ.

Topic: Contest-type. Listeners (People?) had to call and say....

"Whenever I see you, I just want to pick my nose."

'Pick My Nose'! I swear I'm not making this up!

They had to say it in the most seductive way.

They had to make it sound sexy.

Oh, and the winner was gonna win some prize I can't remember.

Movie tickets? Restaurant meal?

Okay, I really can't recall!

Must have been a very unappealing prize. 

The callers really really.....tried their best.

I got to listen to about 3 callers.

 The RJ listened - I wondered if he was trying hard not to LOL - and politely gave each of them a pat on their backs for trying their (*cough* orno) best.

"That's really good."

"Oh, wow!"

And then the one memorable tickler.....

Woman: "Whenever I see you *moans*.... I just....mmm....*groans* want to....mmmmm.....pick my nose...... rawwwrrr!"

(In my head: This woman is standing in her kitchen, in black yoga pants, cup of tea in hand, looking out the window, waiting for the vegetable wala to deliver the fresh gobhi/cauliflower. Kids will be back from tuition in 20, and hubby in 60.)

RJ: "That was very good. I'm really turned on right now." 

(In my head: He's bored, thinking about Jack Daniel's.... and before he could stop himself, puts his index finger up one nostril.)

I'm sorry to say that we'll never know what happened next, because I had to get out of the car.

That's life.

Long Journeys = MmmBop, Ads, Queen, Ads, Chefs, Education, Kejriwal.

............

Speaking of nose-related things, whenever I wear sunglasses, my eyes always notice my nose first. Especially in photos. I don't know, even my nostrils seem bigger than usual.

Which means: Sunnies can hide careless in-a-rush eye makeup application, but not a dirty nose. Don't make 'em want to pick your nose! =D

Okay, now I'll stop saying "NOSE" now.

Baby Bather I LOVE!

Hey, Everyone! Hope you're all doing well =)

Since I got several requests from new Mommies to make posts on baby stuff, I decided to post some on this blog.

The first product I'd like to RAVE about is this bathing chair. Really, I don't know what I'd do without it!

The one thing I was very very nervous about was bathing my baby (whose name is Ziizayne, if you missed reading my post on IVC here), especially in a tub or sink - like some people do. Plus, I think they're too hard for babies. Because of this chair, I could bathe him without any help after the 1st month.

The fabric is net, so you can even place the chair in a tub. It can be adjusted into 2 seating positions - higher & lower.

Just to be extra cautious, I place a rubber bathroom mat under it, to prevent it from slipping.

Thoughtful Mr.CZ bought it the day after Ziizayne was born from a kids store called Dezine Kids

Name: Mastela Mother's Touch Baby Bather.

Price:  It was for only Rs.600 from the store. But it costs more online.

In case you're interested, I see it's sold on Amazon & there are other designs too here

I think the other Deluxe styles with a pillow (or head cushion?) is even better.....

Actually, I might get this too! It looks more comfy =)
