If It Isn't Pastel, I Don't Want It.....

For my nails, it's either only pastels, sometimes black, or frequently french.

My toenails are done in 5 different pastel shades, most of the time.

I kinda had to go out & buy them, because most of my favourite nail paints have started 

drying up & bubbling.

38 Years Old, A Romance Novel Life & Unending Shopping Addiction

Life's been more exciting than any vacation I've ever been on. 

Not necessarily good or perfect, and I fall down a lot, but when I'm up & my antennas aren't disrupted (and I dress up a bit), it's something else.

These days, my soul screams for the things it craves at 3:55 am. 

Either that, or Ziizayne has kicked me in his sleep again.

Colorbar launched 1001 new nail polishes recently & I'm going C-R-A-Z-Y! 

I'm having trouble picking shades, even though the New U stores I went to didn't stock all 1001 shades. 

With Keratin & Almond Oil, and the formula is paraben-free. 

I picked up 2 shades one time, then I went back to get more...but then I didn't have enough time to pick carefully. So I managed to pick only 3 more.

Revlon Zinnia

When I was in school, I found on the last page of my Dictionary what I thought was the most beautiful word ~ “Zinnia”. 

It’s a type of flower, I learnt. 

I’d always go back to look at the word, as if I was afraid it wasn’t real & disappear, or something! Zinnia.... Zinnia.... Zinnia.... Zinnia-na. 

ZiNNiANA (pronounced: Zinni-yah-nah) was gonna be the name of my future daughter, I decided. 

Just a backstory of how I named the daughter I never had.

Nails That Last....

Don't you just hate it when your nail polish starts to chip off only at the tips after, like, a day? For me, it happens more often, because I use that stainless steel scrubber to wash some dishes & the kitchen sink - so that means my right hand nails go first, pfft!

Applying hard-to-remove glitter nail polish at the tips has solved that problem....

Makeup Haul ~ New Launches + Drawer Organizers

I always get weird looks from the counter people at Lifestyle when I'm buying makeup. I don't know why. Maybe I appear too eager, maybe I walk from counter to counter a bit too crazily - sometimes back & forth to "compare", maybe I look too flustered, maybe I take too long to decide which shade I want, maybe I move to another counter while they are bent over those bottom cabinets looking for a product I asked for (they come back up & hey, where'd she go?!) maybe I ask "New launch? New Launch?" like a vendor in a train - "Bhel puri? Bhel puri?" 

Okay, okay, I'll control myself next time. Before I set foot in the beauty floor, I'll coach myself first:

First counter - Maybelline!

The Magnum Barbie Mascara ~ This is similar to The Falsies Mascar, but with a slightly more slender brush & the formula is more packed with fibres. First Impression: Could clump & smudge easily, but if you can handle that like a meticulous woman, false lash kind of volume & length!

New Year Haul & Life Update

So late, I know, but I was rarely home these last few weeks. My brother and his family were staying over, and we were always out and about.

 I am so very happy 2015 is gone, because it was the worst year of my life. I went through some things that weren't good for me, and I had somehow lost myself. Okay, enough of that. Closed book.

This year feels different already. Another chance to start over, and live the life I want to live.

But it started off with a weird, life-threatening, surreal incident.....
