Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Velvety Cream

It's that time of year when we are looking for that perfect sun fighter that will prevent our skin from looking like toasted bread. I'm one of the people who need it the most, because my skin is highly prone to sun damage. For my face, I mostly rely on BB Creams and foundations with SPF, but when I step outside in this scorching heat, I know I need extra protection- something stronger. Just when I was trying to decide which sunblock to get next, I was offered to try out this one - Vichy Capital Soleil Cream with SPF 50. If you've been eyeing it, read on.....

Street Wear (By Revlon) Color Rich Range ~ Awesome Budget Buys!

Oh.My!
How.Cute.Are.These?!!!

If you're not familiar with Street Wear, it's a budget/mass brand in India launched by Revlon. It's been there for years. I've always thought their products are fun-looking.

When I spotted this girly comics range yesterday, I got so excited! The same excitement I get when I'm buying a LE MAC collection (with special packaging). Only difference is, I only spent Rs.650 on everything!

I couldn't wait to post pictures of them. I decided to throw in swatches too.

*Not reviews. I don't do reviews anymore.*

Products Of The Week: The Body Shop Strawberry Range

A couple weeks ago:
Me: "I want strawberries."

Family: "Oh, they're not in season right now. Why, you're craving them?"

Me: "Yes.", I lied.

I wasn't craving them, I wanted to click pictures of them along with these Strawberry goodies from The Body Shop. Yeah, I'd eat them afterwards - sprinkled with powdered sugar....mmm - but they'd have to pose for pictures first ;p

Hi, Everyone! Just a quick update on the furnishings & decor of new home. I finally got curtains for my dressing room last week, and I am quite happy with them.

BEST Drugstore Foundation

This one has beat all of my previous drugstore foundations - Revlon Colorstay FoundationBourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation, Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation, etc.
When I was doing my makeup course, I had many L'Oreal True Match Foundations. Some I'd bought myself, some I got in my kit (A starter kit that's included in the fee.) I think I had, like, 5 bottles. Obviously I got bored of it after using it so much - on myself, on models-of-the-day.....

Back then, I had really prominent melasma/hyperpigmentation on my cheeks & nose. I remember that when this foundation was applied & layered, they almost looked invisible.
I decided to repurchase it recently, many many years later, since my skin was d(r)ying for a new base. I was starting to hate foundations and most bases, because they emphasized the dry patches on my unpredictable pregnancy skin. But now.......

Trying Eyelid Tapes ~ LOTD

I don't know when Eyelid Tapes came into existence, but I have heard about the tape concept quite a long time ago. When I was staying in a hostel, I had a roommate from Manipur. She told us that they used sellotape (cut into shape, of course) on her nephew's (or niece's) monolids regularly, and it really helped to create a crease line and open up his/her eyes.
Now my eyelids are not sooo hooded that I'd want to use tapes regularly, but I've always wanted to try them. I actually bought these for some looks, and ended up using them twice just to see what the deal is.

Maybelline THE NUDES Eyeshadow Palette

Good News!

Maybelline is jumping on the bandwagon, ans will officially launch a 12 pan eyeshadow palette in nude shades this July....or sooner!

Finally a go-to drugstore brand is producing a big palette! I know, trios & quads are so meh.

It will be priced at $11.99 (around Rs.700) in the US.

I hope Maybelline India is listening, and will also bring it to India this year! Before Diwali, pweeease! =)

Who's super duper excited about this palette???

New Cosmetic Organizer Tray

A recent find that I'm absolutely in love (lob!) with is this organizer. Don't mistake it for those acrylic 'Made In China' ones. This one says it is Made in Taiwan. The quality is top-notch! Super clear, shiny & thick, much much better than the 24 Lipstick Holder I got from Ebay (Remember that? Posted here). I was over the moon when I found it in a shop, that too amongst many other designs/types!

I have not thought about what I want to keep in it, so I just arranged random things for now just to show you how they look.

Ethnic Bell Earrings ~ Obsessed!

Hi, Hi! How are you all doing? Me, I've been away from home since Monday, so things are moving slowly over here. Will be heading back tomorrow, and I'll be back to full blogging mode again.
So I just realized that my last Jewelry Haul post was in September last year! What? Didn't I buy any bling since then? And you didn't tell me?! Now the beast is out, and it's just waiting for Accessorize SALE!
Sometime in May, I got these bell earrings, and I'm obsessed with them! I wanted to buy so many more, like, a dozen! I would have if I was shopping alone ;p

New In: Quilted Ballet Shoes

Hi, All! Sorry for not updating here for 2 weeks. Time just flew....somehow. So I dropped in a shoe store yesterday, and found 2 flat casual pairs that I needed. You know, since no high heels for some time. After being in the store for over 15 mins, and trying many many shoes that were too big for me, I was glad that I at least got 2 pairs.
I just love the color combo of these. Taupe-ish grey with light grey accents. Quite impressed with the quality too for the price. No sloppy stitching and glue marks and such. They are soft and cushioney, so I'm gonna be wearing them a lot during the next 4 months of my pregnancy.
