Sigma Precision Brushes & Round Top Kabuki: Photos

I hauled some brushes from Sigma  this month- Precision Brushes & Round Top Kabuki. I'm in love with the soft synthetic HD Fibers, which they are made of. I wish I had a pillow made of them....oooh....!
  • Precision Tapered P86
  • Precision Round P82
  • Precision Flat P80
These Precision Brushes are so cute! I got all of them except the Precision Angled P84. I want to use these with my concealers, precise contouring, buffing small areas/corners & to apply some powder products too.

New! Sigma "The Cities" Brush Collection

What's your favorite city? London, Paris, Tokyo or New York? My dream destination is....Paris! I want to go there and get lost in the narrow streets (with no dog poo) and try to find my way while eating a pink-colored macaroon (and yes, I'll also be wearing a fuchsia cloche hat.] But in the case of these brush kits, my favorite is.....[to be continued]

Sigma's newest Limited Edition brush kits- The Cities - make me wish I had more money, so I can buy all the brush kits & also travel to all 3 of the cities. I think the concept is brilliant!

Here's a closer look at "The Cities" Brush Collections:

1. London ~ London's poise and elegance. The brushes come in an innovative and functional travel-size container that turns into two brush holders to keep you stylish and organized on the go. Price: $89

Sigma Cleansing & Polishing Tool

I'm trying out the Sigma Cleansing & Polishing Tool, the dupe for Clarisonic- which costs 3 times more. I have always wanted a Clarisonic, but the price scare the bejesus out of me (You can imagine what Mr.CZ thinks!)
I am loving the pink-ness against the white....very girly.

The Best Sigma Eye Brush

I have found my favorite eye brush- Sigma E45. How have I lived without this brush for so long?!

Description:
Small domed brush with highly tapered tip. Versatile, this brush can be used to precisely apply and blend intense colors to the crease area.

New Sigma Brushes + Cute Video

I did a Sigma haul again. I needed some more face brushes, for various reasons, but mainly coz my face brushes take too long to dry in this cold-ish weather that I felt I had to get more. Of course I had to throw in one eye brush as well, to kinda 'balance' it out.
The brushes were shipped on 4th Feb and reached me yesterday- 23rd Feb. It took a little longer than the last couple of times I ordered from Sigma, but I'm just relieved they didn't get lost, or something tragic like that.
Here's what I got:

  • F55 Small Duo Fibre ~ $14 (Rs.636)
  • F35 Tapered Highlighter ~ $16 (Rs.727)
  • F05 Small Contour ~ $14 (Rs.636)
  • E45 Small Tapered Blending ~ $9 (Rs.409)

Sigma Makeup Brushes Review

I've been using the Sigma Professional Makeup Brushes for 8 months now. I've washed them many many times and have used them everyday, so this review is long overdue. Sorry to those who asked me to review them since then.
Almost all of these brushes have different names & numbering now, which I'll write in brackets.

Face Brushes: (top to bottom):
  • SS150 (F30) Large Powder Brush ~ For powder application. It's very soft. But it sheds a little, although it's not really an issue for me. Hey! The hair on my head sheds everyday so... =D.
  • SS187 (F50) Duo Fibre Brush ~ For Foundation, powder, blush. I can't live without this. The cons about this it's not as stiff as I'd like it to be. It splays way too much sometimes. BLEEDS while washing & sheds a little too, so I have to remove pieces of bristles every time I use it.
  • SS166 (F40) Large Angled Contour ~ I don't really like this for contouring, coz it's a little too soft, but I like to use it for applying blush.
  • SS190 (F60) Foundation Brush ~ This is a good foundation brush, but I've used a Vega one that is as good too.
  • SS194 (F70) Concealer Brush (6th from top in the pic down there)* ~ Not bad, but I prefer using my fingers to this or the SS224 (E40) below.

Eye Brushes (top to bottom):
  • SS224 (E40) Tapered Blending ~ This is one of the best. Great for blending eyeshadows & for applying and blending concealer too.
  • SS239 (E60) Large Shader ~ I use it for cream eyeshadows. It is a must-have brush if you like to use pigments and glitter.
  • SS219 (E30) Pencil ~ Too soft to be called a pencil brush. It's great for applying shadow right on the crease, and defining the outer V
  • SS275 (E70) Medium Angled Shading ~ This is a must-have for doing smoky eyes, specially is you're a novice at applying eyeshadow, coz it makes it easier for you to shape your eyes.
  • SS230 (E55) Eye Shading ~ This is great if you want to pack on color on your lids coz it picks up a lot of eyeshadow. I use it for blending too.
  • Concealer brush*
  • SS209 (E05) Eyeliner ~ I don't like this at all! It's too thick for applying eyeliner
  • SS266 (E65) Small Angle ~ This is a nice angled brush for applying gel/cream eyeliners, but it's hard to get a thin line and to wing at the corners with it. I use it mostly for tightlining. I'm positive you'll find a better one out there.

F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush ~ This is my favorite brush of all. I use it for almost everything! Foundation, powder, blush (powder/cream), bronzers. I wouldn't mind using it to apply my moisturizer too if it's clean =D. It's super dense and gives a flawww....less finish. If you're on a budget and can get only ONE Face Brush, get this one.

Since I ordered twice, I got 2 SS217 for FREE! :)
These are two of the most useful freebies I've ever received. My makeup routine is incomplete without them. Amazing blending brushes, and you can use them to smoothly apply all over color. Plus, like like that they're short, which makes them very easy to handle.

Bottomline ~ I really recommend the Sigma Professional Brushes. Well, just the ones I really like & my must-haves :)

I hope you found this review useful if you're thinking about ordering these brushes. In case I missed to mention something, feel free to ask me any questions. About prices, please visit the Sigma website.

My 'Darling Cutie Pie' Makeup Brush ~ Sigma Princess Grace Kabuki

I guess the title says it all already, huh?

The Sigma Princess Grace Kabuki Retractable Brush. It is the softest thing that ever grazed my face (sorry honey! ;) )

It is always in my handbag for those blush and powder touch-ups. It's so very versatile! What can't you apply with it?! Foundation, powder, blush, bronzer, highlighter....I want to wash my face with it too =D (♪ ♫  lather, rinse, repeee....eeeat ♪ ♫ like Phoebe Buffay sang)

And it's PINK! *ting ting ting*

I don't know what else to say.....I love it to pieces!

It's also available in: BlackRed (Check them out here

I ordered it from the Sigma website for $25

At the end of this video you will see a *fantastic* tip on how to make the best use of this brush....
