Miniso is one store a family can go to, and everyone finds something useful to buy.
This is my 2nd haul from Miniso, and I have not used the hand towels I got with during my 1st haul over a year ago! What I'm drawn to at their store are the little things, like cotton pads & swabs...and little household items.
Travel Kit Adventure Time Princess Bubblegum, Rs.190
Adventure Time Bath Sponge, Rs.190
Hand Sanitizer Gel (potpourri), Rs.100
Toothbrush set, Rs.190
This is one from a 3-piece toothbrush set for Ziizayne. I'm using it for my eyebrows ;p
Spunlace Cotton Square Pads (180 pcs), Rs.190 ~ These are better then the Pink Panther ones, in case you've used them.
Cute Pet Hand Towels, Rs.250 each I think ~ My favourites!
Will use them as face towels too.
100% Cotton Swabs with wooden grip, Rs.150
Lollipop Pink Perfume, Rs.460 ~ I fell for the baby pink bottle.
1. Spring Cleaning is #1 this month. Thinking about redecorating my dressing room too - some florals, some color....hope I don't get bored when I don't find what I want.
2. Two songs at the top of my playlist: WAR:Jay Sean & All I Got:Said The Sky & Kwesi.
3. My help left on 3rd March for her village, and she'll be back till May. She's the best & doesn't talk much, and I don't know how I'll man--- well, I got another temp today..... but I miss my original one already! Sometimes, I feel like just ringing her in Bengal, and....I don't know.
4. Four More Shots Please on Prime. India's SATC, ladies! ;)
5. Five Girly Perfumes I selected for spring, during this "Spring Cleaning" phase of mine......
(Only 1 of them was gifted by a man. Others, by myself for myself.)
Started from beautifully designed makeup, now we're here!
*insert see-no-evil monkey emoji*
Alright, we will not talk about those useless but pretty outer boxes we don't have the heart to throw away.
(When I left the UK back then, I actually flattened a lot of them and tied them together nicely with a rubber band, so I could bring them back here. I have no idea where they are now!)
~ Cath Kidston Notebook, Rs.695
~ Cath Kidston Travel Cup, Rs.945
*Cath Kidston is now opened in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon.
~ H&M Socks in a Christmas Bauble, Rs.399.
~ Victoria's Secret xo, Victoria Rollerball Perfume, Rs.1600
(approx, as part of 2 for 3 offer.)
~ Forever 21 Pink Bunny-Shaped Slippers, Rs.799
If I know you long-time readers, I'd say you like them all =)
But which one would you keep in a drawer, unused forever?
Me, most probably the notebook.
I wanna say the bunny slippers, but Ziizayne is always wearing them these days, haha!
Have a great weekend everyone!
*To all you fellow horror movie freaks, have you watched Lights Out? I might watch that tonight ;)
20.03.15:
I didn't go looking for Dolce. Dolce was not on my mind.
Then I turned around.....
Dolce was standing like a giant by the door.***
I have daydreamed about holding Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana for months & months.And.Now.It's right here! Right here next to my laptop while I'm writing this!
Notes:Neroli Leaves, Papaya Flower, White Amaryllis, White Daffodil, White Water Lily, Cashmeran, Musky Notes, Sandalwood.
Design: Dolce&Gabbana Dolce’s elegant packaging is reminiscent of a vintage fragrance flacon. Thick, clear glass with softly curved lines lending a contemporary design edge. The flower stopper pays tribute to Sicilian customs, crafted to portray the marzipan sculptures seen in traditional Sicilian confectioners. A thin black grosgrain ribbon, presented in an elegant bow, conjures images of the white shirts and bow-ties that were a signature of early Dolce&Gabbana catwalk shows. The final, and most personal, touch: Dolce signed in a flourish of black script, a replica of Domenico Dolce’s father’s own signature.
Revlon recently launched the much-awaited Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamels in India. One look at the cute little perfume flacon bottles with round ball caps, and you might just want to grab all of them!
The fragrances are revealed when the nail polishes dry. Not just one scent, coz they are categorized into 3 types of scents - Fruits & Florals, Sweets & Spices, and Freshes. I picked up 4 shades to try out.....
I have a vivid childhood memory. One of my favorite things to do when I was a kid was, pluck jasmine flowers whenever I see them. I'm trying to recall from where exactly, but I just can't at the moment. Chances are, my act could have easily been classified as theft or vandalism, and I might have unknowingly made a few jasmine plant owners very very angry. Anyways.... I used to pluck them .... picked the petals, one-by-one .... rolled them between my hands until the white petals became brownish and damp .... shook the poor things off my hands .... and then .... the climactic moment - smelled my hands. Mmm......
Michael Kors Glam Jasmine Perfume smells almost like that, except it's slightly embellished and has more depth. It's not a light & airy floral scent, but at the same time it's not too strong & musky. It's simply feminine ~ like a flowy pastel pink strapless dress with minimal gold accessories.
Now let's talk packaging, as always: It's a simple glass bottle, but the gold cap with metal rivets detailing is e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g! It's like those plain handbags that somehow always look expensive. The more I look at the bottle, the more I fancy it. Even Michael Kors Nail Polishes have the same packaging. So cute! ♥_♥
About: GLAM JASMINE
gives center stage to Kors’ beloved floral note, jasmine, while warm
woodsy notes and sparkling citrus are less prominent. The GLAM
collection embodies the woman who amplifies her evening with
color-concentrated looks in rich, deep hues like plum and berry. The
fragrance, like the fashion statement, is overtly feminine, designed for
a woman who likes turning heads.
Me: "I want strawberries." Family: "Oh, they're not in season right now. Why, you're craving them?"
Me: "Yes.", I lied.
I wasn't craving them, I wanted to click pictures of them along with these Strawberry goodies from The Body Shop. Yeah, I'd eat them afterwards - sprinkled with powdered sugar....mmm - but they'd have to pose for pictures first ;p
You know what is the best thing about moving back to India and finally settling down in one city? Now I get to shop for home stuff! Haven't got a home yet, haha (sigh, new new problems keep arising), but the new furniture has started to come in. For over a year, I'd browse Ebay for makeup storage things, and just look longingly at them coz I couldn't buy these bulky things in UK. Now I'm like a cow who'd been locked in a shed for too long!
So to kick-start the makeup storage items, I ordered this Acrylic Lipstick Holder/Stand. Just one because I wanted to see the quality first .
It can hold 24 lipsticks.
I love that it's step-step (yes, step-step) and not flat.
We landed in Indira Gandhi International Airport. Only one thing was on my mind. Something luxury I saw in Amsterdam, but was too expensive. I assumed I'll see the same in India duty-free and it'll be less expensive, and I'll be happy.... and everything will be right with the world again. After standing like a robot in migration, I headed straight to duty-free. Something luxury wasn't available, sadly. Instead, I spotted something I'd blogged about before (here) and had almost forgotten about ~ Bourjois Perfumes. Was disappointed that there were no testers, and I couldn't have a look at what the bottles looked like, but I knew if I didn't buy it then, I may not get my hands on it, coz who knows if they'll launch it in the stores here. Also, there were only 2 types available out of the 4 that were introduced - this & the purple one called Glamour Excessive. I picked this, Glamour Fantasy.
About: This fruity fragrance opens with a gourmet of cherry and raspberry macaroon. In the heart, sweet strawberry & jasmine in a wonderful floral bouquet. In the end, an intense and heady patchouli.
TOO MANY! E-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e I turn there's something cute....and pretty....and dreamy....and unaffordable.
Bourjois Glamour Perfumes ~ Good Gawd! I wouldn't know which one to choose! Chic, Lovely, Excessive, Fantasy....probably Lovely....no, Fantasy....maybe Excessive...Chic too....ahhhh.... leave me alone!
Benefit Lolli Tint ~ A lollipop pink lip & cheek tint, like the Benetint.
While I write this post, I'm gonna try to get the memory of Miley Cyrus' VMA performance out of my head. We won't say what's already stamped all over the internet, we'll just bury the memory, and think of butterflies instead. Ooh....butterfly print dress....
Yes, that's the photo for Cosmopolitan.....
Cosmo Editor said "We want full-length pic. I said "What kind of attire"? Cosmo Editor said "Wear your favorite outfit!"
Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Indians! I wanted to do something special, so I just picked out some orange & green products from my stash. Inspired by the colors on the Indian flag, of course. Navy blue is missing, because I didn't remember I have one in this palette. Oh, well. Let's just say it's about orange more, because we're talking makeup.
Orange Products:
Bourjois Shine Edition1,2,3 Soleil #20 ~ Swatches here
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Rendezvous ~ Swatches here

Bonjour! J'Adore ze Oh,Lola! Oui, ze Marc Jacobs. Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir.
That's how I French it up when I'm alone. Oui! I look at myself in the mirror, and feel like a pro.
Anyways, 2 pretty things I'm j'adoring right now in one post.....
Marc Jacobs Oh, Lola! Sunsheer EDP(Limited Edition) ~ I went to check out Vera Wang Lovestruck, but ended up falling in love with this instead. The hard plastic deep berry flowers on Lovestruck put me off it. I don't know, they just looked tacky and un-Vera Wang-like. Oh,Lola! Sunsheer smells like raspberries, pears & vanilla- LOVE! Both bottle & scent are totally my type. Price: £37.60 | Rs.3450 for 50ml from Escentual.
Primark J'Adore Cushion ~ How pretty is this cushion?! I had to get it! Bed sheets & duvet covers are also available in that print, and I will go get them even though I have no idea how I'll pack them when I leave Scotland! But I must have them. Yes,mine! Price: £4 | Rs.367.
