Fenty Beauty by Rihanna ~ Haul

As you all know, Rihanna launched her most-awaited beauty brand last year. FENTY, as in Robyn Rihanna Fenty. If you didn't know that, it's alright, I didn't know it either.

In Rachel Green's words, I thought she was just Rihanna.... you know, like Moses.

To be honest, the products didn't really appeal to me when I first saw them. Maybe I had just grown up a bit more, and wasn't going crazy over every new launch & getting sucked into every new hype, you know. But when I saw them at Sephora (Bangkok), I felt kind of obligated to get something, mainly because I love her music so much..... I felt I had to pick up at least 1 product. Well, one thing led to another... and this is what I ended up with!

Makeup Of The Day | Selfie

"How to click a selfie when you have double chin & crazy eyes."

Just kidding! ;p

I don't always do my makeup full monty anymore, but after seeing so many bridal pics that are flooding social media this time of year, I was inspired to do a plummy fall-appropriate look.

I especially like how well the base photographed. It's the 1st time I mixed these 2 foundations.

Face:

Smashbox Photofinish Primer Water. Shown here.
MAC Face & Body Foundation in C2 (just a thin layer)
Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation in Medium 52 (a tiny amount)
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in #20 Sand (mostly under eyes)
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Warm Medium 3 for spots.
Inglot Translucent Loose Powder in #210

Cheeks:

Maybelline Master Flush Creator in Next To Nude. Photos & Swatches here

MAC MSF Soft & Gentle to highlight, which shows more on my cupid's bow.

Eyes:

MAC Pro Longwear Paintpot in Layin' Low as base. Shown here
Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette - I used Bordeaux on outer half
NYX Roll-On Shimmer in Almond on inner half of lids.
Kiss Me Heroine Make False Lashes. Also worn here

Brows:

MAC Veluxe  Brow Liner in Strawberry Blonde.
Inglot Brow Shaping Pencil in #63 . Shown here

Lips

Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Girl Gang. Shown here.
(It is a nice bold shade and all, but I have to say the formula is not the best compared to other liquid lipsticks. It gets patchy easily during application and doesn't feel comfortable. I prefer Deborah Milano, Stila & NYX Lip Lingerie over this.)

If you are wondering why I'm not looking at you and showing my full eye makeup,
well.... one of my eyelashes had popped out at the inner corner on one eye (I just gave up on it!), and you girls who wear falsies understand this annoying problem very well =D
Also, I have run out of good eyelash glue -  I mean Eylure.

That and my crappy selfie-clicking skills!
I hate clicking selfies, because no matter how cute I think I look in the mirror, I always look 10x less cute on my phone camera....haha! ;p

Happy Friday, Everyone!

I'm so J of you all who are off to Black Friday sales! =)

Makeup Haul ~ New Launches + Drawer Organizers

I always get weird looks from the counter people at Lifestyle when I'm buying makeup. I don't know why. Maybe I appear too eager, maybe I walk from counter to counter a bit too crazily - sometimes back & forth to "compare", maybe I look too flustered, maybe I take too long to decide which shade I want, maybe I move to another counter while they are bent over those bottom cabinets looking for a product I asked for (they come back up & hey, where'd she go?!) maybe I ask "New launch? New Launch?" like a vendor in a train - "Bhel puri? Bhel puri?"

Okay, okay, I'll control myself next time. Before I set foot in the beauty floor, I'll coach myself first:
"Be cool. Breathe. Neutral facial expression. Walk graciously. Duchess Of Cambridge....."

First counter - Maybelline!

The Magnum Barbie Mascara ~ This is similar to The Falsies Mascar, but with a slightly more slender brush & the formula is more packed with fibres. First Impression: Could clump & smudge easily, but if you can handle that like a meticulous woman, false lash kind of volume & length!
Price: Rs.399

Color Sensational 3D Eyeshadow Palette in Rose Quartz Pink ~ A little palette of 5 eyeshadows, in which there is a top coat shimmer eyeshadow. Available in 4 shades.
Price: Rs.575

Color Show Big Apple Reds Nail Paints ~ A collection of 4 red shades. I picked up R2 Big Apple Red.
Price: Rs.145

Fit Me Concealer in #20 Sand ~ This is a repurchase. I'd got the first one in the same shade from UK, and they are both the same.
Price: Rs.500

Color Show 3D Eyeshadow Palette in Rose Quartz Pink

New Year Haul & Life Update

Hi, Everyone! Happy happy New Year to each and everyone of you! Hugs & kisses xx <3 p="">
So late, I know, but I was rarely home these last few weeks. My brother and his family were staying over, and we were always out and about.

I am so very happy 2015 is gone, because it was the worst year of my life. I went through some things that weren't good for me, and I had somehow lost myself. Okay, enough of that. Closed book.
This year feels different already. Another chance to start over, and live the life I want to live.
But it started off with a weird, life-threatening, surreal incident.....

Makeup To Lean On

Do you recall, not long ago
We would walk on the sidewalk
Innocent, remember?
All we did was care for each other

But the night was warm
We were bold and young
All around the wind blows
We would only hold on to let go

Blow a kiss, fire a gun
We need some(one) makeup to lean on
Blow a kiss, fire a gun
All we need is some(body) makeup to lean on.

*****

This blog post has been inspired by a song I'm obsessed with all week....

Lean On - by Major Lazer & DJ Snake.

Tell me you've heard it!

So are there certain makeup products you are almost emotionally attached to? Makeup you instinctively reach for, doesn't matter if you have other new (better even) makeup that are sitting right there. Makeup you can't imagine being without. Yes, you keep them all in one separate area/tray (they are the popular & envied kids on your vanity). Okay, it's time to say the dramatic words - Makeup You Lean On.

Here are mine & yes, they were also in my travel makeup bag.....

Face:
I use L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder in shade 320 Natural Beige when I want a matte finish. On days when I want a more dewy finish, I use Etude House Snow White Precious Mineral BB Cream in shade W13 (This version is from the Princess Happy Ending Collection)
For a heavier coverage I use both - BB Cream & then the foundation.

To conceal spots under eyes, I use the Revlon Colorstay Concealer in  shade 03 Light Medium

To set everything in place, I apply Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in shade Translucent. As a finishing touch, and to mattify my oily summer skin further, I pat Street Wear Color Rich Perfection Compact Powder in shade Neutral.

For cheeks, I apply the blush I'm very very attached to - MAC Cream Soda Satin Blush  from the Archie's Girls Collection, which was Limited Edition. I try not to use it all the time, but I can't...I can't stop! It's a pale peach color- swatches here.

Eyes:
For everyday, I do a quick neutral look and usually only contour my hooded crease, so
Naked Basics Palette is my go-to palette. It has everything I need & the palette is compact and easy to tote around everywhere I go.
To tightline my upper lash line, I use Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal Just Black. If you have small light eyes like mine, a black kohl on the bottom lash line can look too harsh, especially for day time, so I turn to a brown kohl instead - enter Bourjois Kohl Contour in shade 78 Brun Design.

If I feel like lining my upper lash line, I use Maybelline Colossal Liquid Liner, with the 0.4mm precision tip - my absolute favorite! More pics here

Lastly, the one product I could possibly end up in a psych ward without - Mascara! I've been really overworking Maybelline Colossal Waterproof Mascara. Seriously, like, 4-5 coats of it every-time! Do not disturb me when I'm building my lashes! =D

Brows:

Currently using Rimmel Eye Brow Pencil in shade 002 Hazel Inglot Brow Shaping Pencil in shade #63, which is a waxy crayon stick that sets brows in place.

Lips:
Lancome Rouge In Love Lipstick in Rose Boudoir (Swatched here)
Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive mixed with MAC Vegas Volt. The resulting color is a pinky peachy beauty that's between a pink & coral.
If it's red I'm in the mood for, MAC Retro Matte Lipstick All Fired Up is my favorite these days, because it's not too bright.
Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick in Mauve It Over. Lined with Bourjois Levres Contour Lip Liner in shade #12 Facetieuse. My most-worn matte nude lippie!

I showed you mine, now show me yours....

*Name 3 makeup products you lean on.*

Now bring the beat back!

I have a feeling this is my lose-weight song.

*Puts earphones on....runs to dressing room.....and locks door*

Red Lipstick Hides Dark Under Eye Circles?!

First off, I want to say this is not my idea. Credit goes to a Youtuber - Deepica Mutyala - a girl who's probably made all pricey "Dark Circle Correctors" obsolete. Her makeup tip of using RED LIPSTICK to mask dark undereye circles (and prevent them from showing through concealers) had everybody talking - because it sounds ridiculous! That is, until you see her demonstration. I'll attach her video below.
So, after I watched her video, I really wanted to try it on myself. I straight away tried the trick with a coral lipstick, because I knew red would not work on my skin tone. But just to put the original tip to the test, I also tried a red lipstick, and it did ended up looking too pink & didn't brighten up my under eye areas like the coral one. I guess red lipstick works best on deeper skin tones.
This is the 2nd time I did this. The 1st time, I was blown away by the difference it made. Something about the lipstick that made the result look almost airbrushed (especially from afar, and not so up-close like you'll see mine below... hehe!)
I did a step-by-step to show you how I did it:
Step 1: I applied the coral lipstick straight from the tube. Just a swipe. I'm still not sure how much I need really =D
Step 2: I dotted concealer on top of the coral lipstick. That is a lil' too much, and I had to blend the extra downwards around my cheeks too.
Step 3: Blended them together with a blending brush. I find fingers or a sponge blend them better than a brush like this.
Step 4 (not shown): Set with loose powder. In the AFTER pic, I hadn't used powder yet.

I'll agree I didn't have serious dark under eye circles to begin with, but see how it concealed those little sun spots/freckles. Next, I'm gonna try different red/coral lipsticks (probably matte ones) on other spots and blemishes, and see how much they'll be concealed.
***I forgot to mention the staying power when I published this post: The concealer holds on really well to the lipstick, and they both set well on to the skin. I guess it's the wax in the lipstick. Once blended seamlessly, they don't crease & settle into fine lines. Especially after powder, the coverage is budge-proof!

Coral Lipstick ~ Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick #20 1,2,3 Soleil ~ Swatched here

Concealer ~ Maybelline Fit Me Concealer #20

Powder ~ The Body Shop Loose Powder #01

Brushes ~ Sigma E25 to blend concealer & Real Techniques Setting Brush to apply powder.

Deepica's video:

Lovely girl! I think this beauty hack has changed many people's lives. Not to mention saved us some money too!

What do you all think? Have you tried this trick & found it helpful?

Do share which lipsticks you have used with all of us! =)

Have a great week all....

Until next time......

Current Beauty Favorites

Hi! If you're not following me on Instagram or my personal Facebook Page, it may seem I've been gone from the blog for a long time, and you don't know the happy news yet. Which is, we have found an apartment & we are moving in probably next week. I'm super excited, because I can't wait for life to start....and have all my things set up properly. That white fluffy things is a new rug for my dressing room.
Now let's talk favorites! Starting from the tall ones back there:
Palmolive Thermal Spa Mineral Massage Body Wash, Rs.135 ~ With thermal salts & white clay. This has got to be of my most favorite body washes. I've gone through 2 bottles since I got back to India. I just love that it smells like a holiday by the beach.
Vaseline Healthy White Complete 10 Lightening & Anti-Aging Body Lotion, Rs.175 ~ I went through many bottle of the original Healthy White Body Lotion, mainly coz I liked the smell so much. This one is a slightly more moisturizing version with anti-aging benefits, but smells the same.
Pond's Dreamflower Talcum Powder, Rs.49 ~ I previously used the purple one, which lasted forever! I decided to try this pink one, and it smells lovely, although I like the fragrance of the purple one a little bit more.
MAC Brush Cleanser, Rs.650 ~ A brush cleanser is a must-have. I was using one by Stage Cosmetics (Malaysian brand), which lasted for a long long time! There was still some left in the bottle when I discarded it in Scotland. I had to turn to MAC when I got back, because again, there's not many available here in India. It works well & cleans even the dirtiest brush in a jiffy.

14 New Beauty Products On My Nightstand ~ From India & UK

For the last couple of weeks, I've been seriously craving GLITTER. I wanted some glitter eye shadows, badly. I have some, but they're all in our old apartment far away (and they are not very interesting.) I was so excited when I found some yesterday in Lifestyle. If you are not at all interested in glitter jhatakness, worry not, there are more things you can look at, coz it is sort of a Collective Haul post.
Faces Stackable Sparkle Glitter ~ Look! Aren't they super cute stacked up like that?! Colors: Silver, Gold, White, Blue, Pink, Purple. I know exactly what I'm sprinkling on my eyes first. Price: Rs.499
Faces Sparkle Dust in Light Pink ~  I noticed this before the glitters. These also come stacked, but I just a single for now. Price: Rs.200-something.
L'Oreal Stain Splash in Lolita (Nude) & Marilyn (Fuchsia) ~ Quite disappointed with these, coz they don't have as much color payoff as the first shade I'd tried, Princess (swatched here)
Lakmé Gloss Stylist in Pink Pout ~ Thought I should give one of these a try, since I have not got new Lakmé products in a long time. Will swatch it and let you know if it's worth the Rs.700 price tag.

Whimsical Present For A Beauty Blogger/Addict

Pretty Real Flowers ~  They die. I sad.
Pretty Wrapping Paper ~ They tear. I sad.
Both sad situations. Both I try to avoid. Right now, I have a bunch of red roses (shown in my Maybelline Color Show post here) that have dried up, and this feeling I get because I have to throw them out is....is.... not nice. Give me fake flowers and gift bags/boxes (no tape, please.) any day. Speaking of gift bags and boxes, maybe we take our heads out of them, and plonk them into pretty whimsical carry cases.....
I saw this carry case in Woodland Adventure Carry Case at Paperchase (a fun stationery store in UK) many weeks ago, and instantly fell in love with it! But I was skeptical about buying it, because of travelling issues and all. A couple weeks later, I thought: Whatever, I must have it. I went there and saw it's not in the same place it was the last time. I looked and looked around the store, and I found it hiding at the back of one table. Only one of its kind (there were about 5 last time), and I didn't feel good about it. Don't we all like to pick the best piece and usually assume the last one is probably defective? I asked the store assistant if they had another one.
She: "You want to buy 2 of them?"
Me: "No. Actually, there's a scratch on this one. Look.", I pointed to an almost undetectable silver hairline scratch on the box. Yes, it was quite a moo point, and I would've bought it if I had no other choice.
She: "Okay, I'll go check in the back for you, but we may be out of them."

She came back in 5 mins with the only one left in stock. It was wrapped nicely in transparent plastic bag which was twisted into a ruffle at the end (like a sack) and tied with a golden plastic ribbon. Brand new, unopened, untouched. I had to stop myself from jumping and clapping, and delightfully squealing "Ooh, me likey!"

My Review In Cosmopolitan Magazine ~ Lakmé CC Cream

As I've mentioned here, I'm part of Cosmo Beauty Panel, a group of 17 people who'll be reviewing the newest products that hit shelves for Cosmopolitan India. One of my first set of reviews was featured in last month's (October) issue, and it's of India's first CC Cream - Lakmé CC Cream.
About  Lakmé CC Cream: A complexion care cream with SPF 20 that protects, moisturizes, brightens, evens tone, conceals & freshens.

Available in 2 shades- Beige & Bronze. I've been using Beige.
I said: "It evened out my skin tone, which has underlying hyperpigmentation (melasma), but wasn't thick enough to conceal spots. While it lasts all day, it requires a bit of powder in top so skin doesn't look oily."
Below are some swatches to complete my review.......

New In ~ Skincare, Haircare, Makeup

Last night, we heard a weird siren sound. We thought it's some annoying car alarm (but less annoying than the one in HIMYM - when Lily & Robin were waiting outside the bridal store.) Then we saw red/blue lights flickering through the curtains. I looked out, and saw more than 15 people gathering outside, some men in yellow helmets, and 2 noisy fire trucks right outside the building attached to our building.......

Bourjois Happy Light Primer, Foundation, Concealer ~ Disappointing!

You know I love Bourjois, and I'm quite loyal to it. But this time, I have no praises for their new releases ~ Happy Light. I got the Matte Primer, Foundation & Concealer, and they just.don't.work.right.

Bourjois Happy Light Serum Primer Matte: There are 2 types of primers- Matte & Luminous. Luminous is for dry skin, Matte for oily skin. In a nutshell, it flakes if applied over a moisturizer and does so even more when I work Happy Light Foundation over it. When worn without a moisturizer, it looks okay and does mattifies my skin, but emphasizes dry areas. The thing that still makes it useable is, it doesn't have that pore-clogging silicone feel and it does minimizes the look of pores & makes skin feel smoother. I may have to find a super special way to wear this to make it work better, Price: £6.99 | Rs.696.

Bourjois Happy Light Foundation #52 Beige Claire: I was confused between 53 and 52. I swatched both on my neck and asked a Superdrug SA which one suited me better. She picked the darker one- 53. I agreed, but then in the end I trusted my own instinct and picked the lighter one. Boy, did I make the right choice! Because this foundation turns darker & orange-ish when you spread it on your skin. It's a very sheer foundation with next to zero coverage, but I expected that. The deal breaker is it turning orange. Price: £7.99 | Rs.794.

Bourjois Happy Light Concealer #21 Ivoire: There were 2 shades available at Superdrug. I picked the one that's more yellow-toned (the other was pinkish). The texture is thick and creamy, so it has a tendency to look cakey if not blended well. The shade is too light for both my undereye areas & spots, but I knew that when I bought it. I will use this to shape and define my brows. Price: £6.99 | Rs.696.

New Bourjois Products @ Introductory Prices

I have to tell you that the Superdrug store I go to all the time has had a makeover, and was looking so swanky with laminate flooring, parallel aisles that look super duper organized. Oh, and new baskets! Small, black with silver handles. It felt like Sephora (Kuala Lumpur). On top of all that, it had my most-awaited new Bourjois products - the Happy Light Primers!

Pond's White Beauty BB Cream ~ Why It Is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

What do you immediately, almost instinctively, do when you really really like a face cream? Me, I do a few things:
One: I think "Really? Is it as good as I think?"
Two:  I search for the box it came in, so I can read the fine print.
Three: I'll over-use it, daring it to slap my face with a blemish.
If I were still single, I'd probably do the same if I really really like a guy =D {Fine Print = Facebook profile & Google.}
For the past 3 weeks, the product under my 3-step scrutiny is Pond's White Beauty BB+Fairness Cream.
Pond's White Beauty BB+Fairness Cream is formulated with GenWhite Formula enriched with:
Vitamin B3 - Pond’s signature ingredient, helps to reduce and control melanin accumulation on the skin.
Vitamin E – A potent fat soluble anti-oxidant to neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals which can trigger melanin production which leads to darker skin.
Allantoin – Recognized as an anti-inflammatory by US FDA found in the comfrey plant and helps to reduce processes that can lead to increased pigmentation .
Advanced Superior Sunscreen Protection SPF 30 PA++ - Helps to protect against skin tanning and photo ageing.

Haul: New Cleansing Oil, New Concealer, Etc.

Apologies for the after-midnight post to readers in India. I was cleaning the whole day today. Okay, mainly my makeup area and bathroom. It's special cleaning, because sometime next week somebody is coming to our apartment "For Inspection", so we want to make a good impression... hehe!
I went to Superdrug to get only a replacement cleansing oil, but of course the inevitable happened.....
  • L'Oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing Oil ~ My holygrail makeup remover, MAC Cleansing Cleanse Off Oil,  is finishing, so I decided I'd try this less expensive one. It has mineral oil, which MAC doesn't have, btw. Price: £5.32 | Rs.483 from Superdrug.[MAC Cleanse Off Oil Costs £19  | Rs.1724. Sigh]

  • Bio Oil ~  I've been using my old one quite religiously, so only a few drops are. For those who have not heard of this famous oil, it's for stretch marks, scars, etc. Yes, it works! Price: £8.99  | Rs.815 for 60ml from Boots.

  • Maybelline The Eraser Concealer in Nude ~ If you've been going through my wishlists, you'd know this used to be on one of them. It's an interesting concept with a spongy applicator tip that claims to erase dark circles & wrinkles. It's available in 2 shades- Light & Nude. Price: £7.99  | Rs.725 from Boots.

  • Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner in Hollywood Red ~ Just a deep cool-toned red lip liner. Price: £3.99 | Rs.362 from Superdrug.

I will let you know how I find them in sometime. They will probably be mentioned in a monthly favorites posts.

Enjoy your weekend, all. It's so hot here in Scotland these days, it feels like Delhi's fall/spring season. Actually, it feels quite like Shillong (my hometown- Scotland Of The East)
Okay, now I'll go fry some mushrooms & eat lots. I know I've gained weight.... and.... AND....my shoes are fitting better! I guess I gotta eat my way to better shoes! =)

How To Conceal Undereye Circles ~ Tutorial

In all my years of beauty blogging, I think this one of the most requested. So many readers are troubled by panda eyes. I personally don't have major dark circles (I have other major skin problems, so I'm thankful this is not one one them). Still, my eyes look tired without any concealer under them, especially on sick/stressful days, and when I'm wearing heavy eye makeup. Some days I apply an extra layer of foundation, some days a concealer is necessary.

Here, I applied some kohl and mascara beforehand, so that they bring out my dark circles more. Black kohl on your lower lash line really brings out your under eye bags, and emphasize the shadows under your eyes.

IVC Tutorial Month ~ Tutorial #2
Step 1: Apply Eye Cream. The skin on your undereye area is thin & delicate, so eye cream will act as a protective layer the concealer can adhere to. Use your ring finger for this as it's the gentlest of all your fingers.
Step 2:  This is important. To prevent your concealer from looking too cakey & cut down blending time, apply and dot concealer only on prominent hollows & shadows. To locate them,  tilt your head down and look up at a mirror. Here, I used a thin liner brush to apply concealer in the hollow and to dot under the eye bags, inner corner & the outer corner between my top & bottom lash lines. You can use your concealer wand or a Q -tip (earbud), too.
Step 3:  Blend the concealer with a blending brush or fingers. You can blend the concealer on your eyelids as well. I prefer not to because concealer usually doesn't blend well with my eye shadow primer and ends with looking blotchy.
Step 4:  Pat the blended concealer with your ring finger just to make sure it's all smooth and ready to be set.
Step 5:  Take some loose powder with the same fluffy brush (or another, if the same is too wet), and dab it on top of the concealer. This will set it in place & prevent creasing.
DONE!
What a difference, right? My eyes eye looks more awake & less tired! =)
Products I Used:
  • Botanics Radiant Youth Hydrating Eye Cream by Boots
  • Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in #3 Medium
  • The Body Shop Loose Powder #01
  • Brushes: To apply concealer- Inglot 30T eyeliner brush. To blend & powder- Colorbar Emphaeyes Eye Blending Brush .

Picking the right products:
  • If your dark circles are very dark & almost purplish or bluish, try to pick a concealer with yellow or peach undertones. Anything pinkish will make dark circles look greyish.
  • Stick to creamy concealers that will blend well & not settle into fine lines.
  • Avoid powders that have pink in them, stick to translucent or yellow-toned powders.

Good Undereye Concealers: I like a few- Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer, Kryolan Cream Concealers, Laura Mercier Undercover Pot, YSL Touche Eclat, etc.
Although I have yet to try them myself, I've heard these are good: Maybelline Fit Me & Eraser Concealers, Revlon PhotoReady Concealer, Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealers & Correctors.
I guess there are a lot of concealers to be explored, and it will require a separate blog post.

I hope you found this tutorial helpful. Do tell us if you have any favorite undereye concealers.

MAY 2013 Favorites ~ Make-up, Best Concealer, DIY Waxing, Etc.

May is not over yet, but I'm in the mood to talk about my May Favorites now.

Carpe Diem!

We start with makeup, as always. From the back:
  • Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer ~ This, this is THE BEST CONCEALER. No kidding. It's great for under the eyes, it conceals blemishes, it does it all! And yes, it lasts. It's available in 4 shades- Fair, Light, Medium, Deep. I use #3 Medium (which was always out of stock!) I think my tube is broken somewhere, because the concealer keeps leaking out- messy, messy! The best thing about it- it costs only around Rs.350 (£4.19). This is one thing I'll be buying in bulk when I leave UK =D
  • NARS Loose Powder in Beach ~ This powder has a lot of yellow in it, that's why I like it. It's smooth and lightweight, and sets my foundation without looking cakey. It reminds of Ben Nye Banana Powder, which I've yet to try out.
  • Maybelline Crayon Oriental Kohl Intense Black ~ I don't want to finish my repurchased Lakme Kohl Ultimate so soon, so I've been using this. It's soft & black, and  hardly smudges.
  • MAC Cream Soda Betty Blush from Archie's Girls Collection ~ As I predicted, I ended up loving this light neutral coral blush with a satin finish. Although it looks light, it actually shows up quite coral on my cheeks. Maybe the micro shimmers in it attract attention. Swatches here & LOTD wearing it here
  • Sleek Oh So Special Palette ~  When I bought this, I had no idea I'd be using it so much. It has almost every eye shadow I need for everyday. Swatches here.
  • Revlon Just Bitten Lip Balm Stain in Sweetheart ~ Most-worn lippy from April-May. Swatches here
  • Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick #16 ~ A summery grapefruit pink lippy I reach for every time I think medium pink lipstick. Swatches here
  • Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama Mascara ~ This is different from the original "The Falsies", okies? Aside from having a fancier lace design, it's also better for my thin lashes. The formula is thicker, and it does make my lashes look like falsies. I have done a post on the original here
  • Maybelline Colorama Cremoso Nail Polish Equilibrista ~  I'm liking this girly lilac color more than pink on my fingernails these days.
Here, we have my favorite skin care & a hair tool:
  • The Body Shop Raspberry Body Butter ~ Raspberry is the new Strawberry.
  • Veet Oriental Wax ~ This comes with wax, wooden spatula & strips. My 1st time waxing at home, and it was a success! Basically, you just heat the container in microwave, or place it n hot water, and it's ready to use! It didn't irritate my skin too much, or caused too many bumps. I'm afraid to even guess how much the salons here in Scotland charge for waxing whole body.
  • Carmex Cherry Lip Balm ~ It took me a while to get used to the cherry scent, after using the original/plain. But now I like it a lot.
  • The Face Shop Mini Pet Hand Cream ~ More pics here. I need more of these cuties. better than L'Occitane.
  • Babyliss Volume Waves Curling Tong ~ I.Can't.Live.Without.This. I've been curling my hair every 3rd day now. When it's straight-straight, I feel....ordinary.

The Etc's:

Leather Jackets ~ I've been living in furnace Delhi for so long, that I never had a chance to really indulge in leather jackets, but now I want so many types! Every second girl in UK wears a leather jacket, and every time I see a unique one, I get this urge to go up to the girl and request her to show me the brand tag inside (Let me see! Let me see! Take it off!) Ooh, look at that- Zara, with ruffle detail. Want!

Mama Hot & Spicy Noodles ~ OMG, these are so spicy! Although I do add extra chilli powder & pepper. They're awesome! If you live in Delhi, you might find them in INA Market or big supermarkets.

Macaroons or Macarons (whatever) ~  I tried, I LOVE! Thank goodness, because I've told you I don't like sweets and cakes and chocolates much. But these are so different & fun to eat- just like I imagined in my head (although a little less crunchy). My favorite flavor is Pistachio (green). Btw, these were from Marks & Spencer.

Current Favorite Song ~ Thanks To H&M for introducing me to it. It's always playing in the store, and I'd never heard it before. I noted down some words from the lyrics, and went home to Google. You know, I heard it in both Dundee & Edinburgh H&M stores. They must be promoting it, or something =D

Lastly, I'm watching Sex And The City from Season-1 again these days. I'm amazed at how much I'd forgotten. Last night, I watched 'The Baby Shower' episode, where Miranda said to Carrie:
"I just realized...maybe it's maturity or the wisdom that comes with age... but the witch in Hansel & Gretel, she's very misunderstood. I mean, the woman builds her dream house and these brats come along and start eating it."
Haha! Her bluntness, so hilarious.

That's all from my side. What are your May Favorites?
