Serving You Some TEA......

Since some of you have been saying that I don't post personal stuff anymore, I thought I'd do a non-beauty related post, and serve you some rather tepid personal "TEA"......

♡  I'm functioning well again, after I finished watching Criminal Justice. I can sleep (almost) peacefully again.

♡  Made In Heaven is another TV show I was hooked too, but it didn't stress me out as much.

♡ If I gain weight, it's because of the coconut crackers in these pictures.

♡ I get up at 7:00 am to get Zii ready for school. Then I go to bed at either 12:00 am....or 4:00 am. 2019 is just gonna go *like that*, and I'll wake up one day & Zii is 10 years old.

♡ Speaking of Zii, he doesn't want to go back to school after ever weekend, so we have the same argument every Sunday night.

♡ It's my birthday month again. I'll turn 38, but currently feel about 42. Although I'm still drawn to kiddish things, as you can see.

♡ Somebody wrote: "LEARN TO PARK, FUCKER" on my car's bonnet, probably with a car key, or a coin. This was last year, and I'm now still driving around with that poetry.

  

♡ On a positive note, I live in a world of unicorn coffee mugs, and heart-shaped teacup saucers, and lilac-coloured ice-cream....

Tough Like Leather ~ Delicate Like Lace

As the plane wobbled like it's flirting with a free fall, and the fluffy cotton out the window turned to masses of ash,

Mom's voice echoed in my head: 

"But that's what they say. People often die close to their birthdays.", 

she'd tell me like it's an urban myth proven true after one too many obituaries.

This must be it. I'm gonna die today.

Haven't I always thought this is one way I'd go?

Okay, maybe that has a lot to do with LOST.

"Please remain seated, and keep your seat belts...."

I was staring at my palm.

"You won't live a very long life. 30-35, maybe. See?", 

an amateur palmist had pointed to my life line that's about an inch point something too short - according to her book.

A few successively jerks, and the eerie sound of metal creaking underneath made me grab both armrests.

I feel cold! I need a blanket!

Coffee. No, tea! No, coffee!

I need a hand to hold!

This. This is why you shouldn't fly solo!

Why is everyone so quiet??!!

~ How about you're now hooked to a new tv show - The Missing, Season 2?

~ How about Ziizayne now yells 'Mummaaaaa!', says 'Oh-kay!', 'Shoes', and 'Moo!' when he sees cows?

~ How about you're now only into black or nude/muted rose nail polish shades, and you find corals & pinks almost repulsive? This is when they should probably understand your state of mind.

~ How about you think the new Lakmé 9to5 Mousse Lip & Cheek Color are awesome?

~ How about you're kinda obsessed with the word 'Quinoa' - keeen-waaah!  

~ How about you've decided you're going to become a Lawyer? The kind that would carry night vision goggles & have a snitch in prison.

MAC The Simpsons Collection Photos & Swatches

I'll admit, I'm not much of a Simpsons fan. I found them cute and all, but I never really watched the series. Then I met someone who's hooked to the show - my Mr.CZ. Boy, is he obsessed! Yes, all the DVDs & figurines in the photos are his. I remember he'd start laughing, and tell me about something funny Homer did/said ("Mmm....bacon.")

Even though I would never skip this collection, I'd say he wanted me have it more than I did. So, in a way, they're for him. Which is weird to say because we are not talking to each other right now.... haha! ;p

Anyways, I'll dedicate this post to him.....and all you other Simpsons fans! Hope you'll like the fun pictures, I really enjoyed clicking them. Cartoon makeup collections are so FUN!  =D

New PINK Blogging Camera | Hello Kitty Box | Minnie Mouse Socks

15th Nov '13, Friday:

Sometime in November '13, I spotted this camera in one of Shifa's (Get Gawjus) Instagram photos. In that moment, my life changed. By that, I mean I went CRAZY! You know I love them PINKS. It was like I was meant to see it, coz I'd been thinking about a new camera.

After googling, I found out it's a Special Limited Edition that launched in late 2012. It was sold only by a few sellers online, and they either seemed dodgy or money-hungry. Oh, and one Ebay UK seller stated that it's only "Virtually Used", whatever that means. I wanted Brand New!

16th Nov '13, Saturday:

After hours of googling.... 

Mr.CZ: 'It's okay. You have to let it go now. When it's not available anymore, what can you do?'

Me: 'No. I WILL get it. I don't give up easily on something I really want.', I said patiently & confidently like some kind of tycoon, but in my head: I was lying on the living room floor, pulling my hair, and crying 'Whyyy?!!! Ahhh!!!'

A few hours later that same Saturday evening, I found a seller! Awesome price, brand new + I get 1 extra lens. Pure, unadulterated happiness. Husband was relieved too, I think. ('Okay, now she will stop whining about it, and stop making that wretched face.')

19th Nov, Tuesday:

It was delivered! 3 days after ordering. Now you'd think it's a happy ending. Well, not yet. I had to wait for almost 2 months to see it! It was delivered to Delhi, and I was still in Scotland. Brother-in-law sent a pic of the sealed pink box, and I just had to look at it and count the days.....

18th Jan '14:

 I un-boxed it, and it was just like I imagined. Pretty. Pink. Perfect.

Photo Diary With Maybelline Color Show Nail Polishes ~ Day 05-01 [FINALE]

And this is the Finale of my Maybelline Color Show Photo Diary. If you missed the first part, you can go check it out here. Sorry I posted it this late, I got confused with the photos, as usual.

These are all the 10 shades that I picked out of 40 shades. My list of TOP 10 Color Show Nail Polishes might change after I try more (many more!) shades, but these are basically what I wanted to have first and foremost.

Day 05: Porcelain Party #102

Porcelain white. A blank slate with many possibilities, where imagination is created. I stuck on Mickey Mouse nail stickers like-that-why-I-don't-know. That was my #1 imagination,,,haha!

Photo Diary With Maybelline Color Show Nail Polishes ~ Day 10-06

Hello, Color Show! These were launched not so long ago in India, and everybody is going ga-ga over them, because:

• Their price tag is as rare as a celebrity without botox. At Rs.75 | $1 | £0.73 a bottle, I think they are flying off the shelves.
• They're available in 40 shades. I saw some ladies buying ALL 40 shades at once! I'm guessing they thought: 'When in doubt, buy both all.'
• Price & variety aside, we can agree it all comes down to quality. For me personally, these feel no different from the ones that cost more. They are creamy & glossy, and can look opaque with just 1 thick coat. All swatches here are 2 coats. Drying time is minimal too. I'm sure of this because I a-l-w-a-y-s see small scratches on my nail polish (usually from my long hair, I don't know how), but I did not see any on these, surprisingly. 
• They don't chip for 5-6 days on my left hand nails. Right hand nails, well, the same with every other nail polish, maybe 3 days tops. I think the main culprit is the steam from cooking.

I've got 10 shades with me, but to avoid crowding one blog post & skimping on photos, I thought it's better to split the post up into 2 parts. I'm putting up Photo Diary Day 10-06 now, and will be posting Day 05-01 shortly.

Day 10:  Lavender Lies #217 & Blackcurrant Pop #402

These are like sisters, so I had to wear them together. Lavender Lies is a lavender color (duh!), while Blackcurrant Pop is lighter and looks like a faded version of Lavender Lies. Two shades that could create a perfect ombre effect when sponged over one another. Don't you love the name Lavender Lies? {"Lavender lies! Not white, lavender lies!", Lily yelled at Rose angrily.}
