When my previous laptop just died, one of the things I regretted not doing was not posting the photos & swatches I had uploaded to it. They were just GONE. There were a lot of makeup pictures, because I always click before using any new makeup product.
So now, I'm gonna post whatever I click, so they don't just sit there in my computer & just disappear one day.

Trying this thing where I write short & quick caption-like posts just like on myInstagram, before I have to do something else... and then nothing! - for everyone asking me to blog regularly here again.
How round is the tip of your MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick now?
Mine is really round with zero edge that I don't feel like applying it, because it's not a lipstick formula that easy to clean when it smudges. If you own it, I know ya feel whah I'm sayin' (Yeah, say that like Drake!)
I've also misplaced the Bourjois Lip Liner that's a dupe for it. Now I just have to wait for the Lip Pencil to re-untie me with Ruby Woo...
Do you recall, not long ago We would walk on the sidewalk Innocent, remember? All we did was care for each other
But the night was warm We were bold and young All around the wind blows We would only hold on to let go
Blow a kiss, fire a gun We need some(one) makeup to lean on Blow a kiss, fire a gun
All we need is some(body) makeup to lean on.
*****
This blog post has been inspired by a song I'm obsessed with all week....
Lean On - by Major Lazer & DJ Snake.
Tell me you've heard it!
So are there certain makeup products you are almost emotionally attached to? Makeup you instinctively reach for, doesn't matter if you have other new (better even) makeup that are sitting right there. Makeup you can't imagine being without. Yes, you keep them all in one separate area/tray (they are the popular & envied kids on your vanity). Okay, it's time to say the dramatic words - Makeup You Lean On.
Here are mine & yes, they were also in my travel makeup bag.....
Face:
I use L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder in shade 320 Natural Beige when I want a matte finish. On days when I want a more dewy finish, I use Etude House Snow White Precious Mineral BB Cream in shade W13 (This version is from the Princess Happy Ending Collection)
For a heavier coverage I use both - BB Cream & then the foundation.
To conceal spots under eyes, I use the Revlon Colorstay Concealer in shade 03 Light Medium
To set everything in place, I apply Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in shade Translucent. As a finishing touch, and to mattify my oily summer skin further, I pat Street Wear Color Rich Perfection Compact Powder in shade Neutral.
For cheeks, I apply the blush I'm very very attached to - MAC Cream SodaSatin Blush from the Archie's Girls Collection, which was Limited Edition. I try not to use it all the time, but I can't...I can't stop! It's a pale peach color- swatches here.
Eyes:
For everyday, I do a quick neutral look and usually only contour my hooded crease, so
Naked Basics Palette is my go-to palette. It has everything I need & the palette is compact and easy to tote around everywhere I go.
To tightline my upper lash line, I use Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal Just Black. If you have small light eyes like mine, a black kohl on the bottom lash line can look too harsh, especially for day time, so I turn to a brown kohl instead - enter Bourjois Kohl Contour in shade 78 Brun Design.
If I feel like lining my upper lash line, I use Maybelline Colossal Liquid Liner, with the 0.4mm precision tip - my absolute favorite! More pics here
Lastly, the one product I could possibly end up in a psych ward without - Mascara! I've been really overworking Maybelline Colossal Waterproof Mascara. Seriously, like, 4-5 coats of it every-time! Do not disturb me when I'm building my lashes! =D
Brows:
Currently using Rimmel Eye Brow Pencil in shade 002 Hazel & Inglot Brow Shaping Pencil in shade #63, which is a waxy crayon stick that sets brows in place.
Lips:
Lancome Rouge In Love Lipstick in Rose Boudoir (Swatched here)
Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive mixed with MAC Vegas Volt. The resulting color is a pinky peachy beauty that's between a pink & coral.
If it's red I'm in the mood for, MAC Retro Matte Lipstick All Fired Up is my favorite these days, because it's not too bright.
Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick in Mauve It Over. Lined with Bourjois Levres Contour Lip Liner in shade#12 Facetieuse. My most-worn matte nude lippie!
I showed you mine, now show me yours....
*Name 3 makeup products you lean on.*

Now bring the beat back!
I have a feeling this is my lose-weight song.
*Puts earphones on....runs to dressing room.....and locks door*
One day, I wore a deep fuchsia pink dress. I applied MAC Flat Out Fabulous Lipstick. Very matchy-matchy! I love when my lips match my dress or top. Hubby & I left our hotel room. Yes, this was that time we were on our Babymoon. We decided to eat lunch first before going shopping. Chinese. Soupy noodles. Fried Rice. Chilli Chicken. Waiting-for-the-check time was lipstick touch-up time. I didn't need a mirror to tell me I had only a fuchsia pink outline on my lips. I blotted and gently wiped off the edges.
I reached into my handbag, and..... AND..... Oh My Gah! I'd forgotten to toss MAC Flat Out Fabulous into my handbag! Not only that, there was absolutely no lip product in my bag. Not even a lip balm (or a Fox's raspberry candy I could rub my lips with!) It's what usually happens when you change handbags!
I freaked a little.
"It's like an ensemble!", I told hubby who didn't see what the big deal was.
"And I thought you're not supposed to buy any lipsticks.", he added.
"I know, but....this is an exception!"
{Or.... I could leave my lips bare and a lil stained like this???.....
Please, woman! It looks like you have some kind of rash!}
We left the restaurant, went down the escalator.....
and we were standing in front of Colorbar.
I told the SA that I wanted a lippie shade that's exactly like the dress I was wearing.
I picked up 3 crayons from Revlon's newest launch. One Lacquer Balm & Two Matte Balms.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms ~ These have a matte finish. They are really pigmented & have a soft creamy texture. The crayon is soft, not hard. When layered, they look completely opaque.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Lacquer Balms ~ These have a glossy finish, which is a bit similar to the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains, except they are a little more creamy and the crayon is softer. They feel somewhat like MAC Lustre Finish.
*And yes, both of these also have that pepperminty scent like the Kissable Balm Stains. Both contains Shea, Coconut & Mango Butters.
I would go to Boots & Superdrug uncountable times specially to check if these were launched while I was still in the UK around Nov-Jan, and I was always disappointed! Today, when I least expected it, I saw them on the Revlon counter in Lifestyle, Great India Place. Oh, the joy! I think Baby CZ's head grew a lil' bigger in that moment =D
Both Matte & Lacquer Balms are priced at Rs.800 each.
8 shades of Matte Balms & 8 shades of Lacquer Balms were there
"You had me at 'Cuddle'.", she thought, when she held it again weeks later.
Do you like to be cuddled? I know some people who don't like to be hugged & cuddled at all. I don't know how they can be so....what's the word.... detached? Because I'm a big time cuddle-needer. I have to be cuddled at least once a day, and if they lift me up, even better. I don't know, I just like to hang on people like a monkey.
Speaking of Rimmel Colour Rush Balm, it is the newest lip crayon on my vanity. Out of 7 shades that were introduced, I picked Give Me A Cuddle #100, a tea rose pink. I adored the color the moment I laid eyes on it, so it wasn't just about the cuddle.
A. Used only the crayon you needed at a time. You like to keep them looking brand new.
B. Used only the bright colors. You probably colored leaves yellow or orange.
C. Used all of them at once. You loved coloring flowers and kites.
I pick C. I used all the crayons in my box as soon as I get them. I would just scribble rubbish with each and every color. I probably doodled CYNTHIA ♥LEONARDO.Yes, Dicaprio was my life back then. My life!
That's why even now, I want to try ALL the lip crayons. I think I've swatched everyone of them in drugstores. But I don't have all (yet), I have only the ones shown below:
Apologies for the after-midnight post to readers in India. I was cleaning the whole day today. Okay, mainly my makeup area and bathroom. It's special cleaning, because sometime next week somebody is coming to our apartment "For Inspection", so we want to make a good impression... hehe!
I went to Superdrug to get only a replacement cleansing oil, but of course the inevitable happened.....
L'Oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing Oil ~ My holygrail makeup remover, MAC Cleansing Cleanse Off Oil, is finishing, so I decided I'd try this less expensive one. It has mineral oil, which MAC doesn't have, btw. Price: £5.32 | Rs.483 from Superdrug.[MAC Cleanse Off Oil Costs £19 | Rs.1724. Sigh]
Bio Oil ~ I've been using my old one quite religiously, so only a few drops are. For those who have not heard of this famous oil, it's for stretch marks, scars, etc. Yes, it works! Price: £8.99 | Rs.815 for 60ml from Boots.
Maybelline The Eraser Concealer in Nude ~ If you've been going through my wishlists, you'd know this used to be on one of them. It's an interesting concept with a spongy applicator tip that claims to erase dark circles & wrinkles. It's available in 2 shades- Light & Nude. Price: £7.99 | Rs.725 from Boots.
Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner in Hollywood Red ~ Just a deep cool-toned red lip liner. Price: £3.99 | Rs.362 from Superdrug.
I will let you know how I find them in sometime. They will probably be mentioned in a monthly favorites posts.

Enjoy your weekend, all. It's so hot here in Scotland these days, it feels like Delhi's fall/spring season. Actually, it feels quite like Shillong (my hometown- Scotland Of The East)
Okay, now I'll go fry some mushrooms & eat lots. I know I've gained weight.... and.... AND....my shoes are fitting better! I guess I gotta eat my way to better shoes! =)
All words from the romance genre ~ "A Rendezvous with my Sweetheart, who is sweeter thinks I'm sweeter than Honey."
(And that is why I will never be a poet.)
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains have caused quite a stir lately, and today I'll be the one stirring- with 3 colorful ladles.
Honey001 ~ It's a dusty pink shade that could look mlbb (my lips but better) on some people. It's the kind of lippy that goes with everything.
Sweetheart 025 ~ Fuchsia pink. There's something about this color, it looks good on everyone. I have to send one to my cousin sister because she liked it so much when she tried it. I find that the finish is a tad different from the other 2- it's smoother, and makes my lips look a lil' bit plumper.
Rendezvous040 ~ A true orange shade. It's almost exactly the color of the orange Cadbury Gems. It's a color that always stands out. Although I don't wear it much, I know I'll miss it if I don't have it.

You know I love Bourjois. My good friend even jokes about my obsession with it. I think I've said "It's a brand that rarely disappoints me" before?Okay, maybe I'm making that up, coz déjà vu happens to me a lot! That feeling that I'd already done/said stuff before happens so frequently, it freaks me out sometimes (like MPD does). Anyways, I am putting Bourjois in the spotlight as:
'Brand Of The Month'
Simply because I'm loving so many products from the brand these days. Below are some of them:
Bourjois Effet Smoky Eyeliner Pencils in Sparkling Mocha & Sparkling Emerald. Price- Rs.385 each
Sparkling Mocha, Sparkling Emerald (Aren't they gorgeous?!!) If you aren't familiar with these- they are soft pencils which can be smudged easily. I've done a review a long time back here
I know my Bridal Series is hanging in limbo. It's going to come to an abrupt end since I've got so many things to do before Christmas + I'm leaving for vacay right after that. But I want to do a couple more posts to end the series properly. Fingers crossed!
Below are the makeup products I'd use on my wedding day- if I were doing my own makeup. I'd be wearing a pink lehnga with gold embellishments, so I picked the colors accordingly:
Face:
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Oil Free
Make Up For Ever HD Foundation
YSL Touche Eclat to brighten up the undereye areas
MAC Studio Finish Concealer to conceal blemishes
MAC Chromagraphic Pencil for spot concealing
The Body Shop Loose Powder
MAC Sculp & Shape Powder to contour & highlight
Benefit Bella Bamba
Benefit Hoola
MAC Fleur Power Blush
MAC Fix+ Finishing Spray to set makeup. For me, this works best at this time of year when my skin is drier.
Other long-wear foundations:
Revlon Colorstay Foundation, MAC Pro Longwear Foundation, MAC Studio Sculp Foundation.
Other Blush suggestions: Colorbar Peachy Rose & Just Earth, MAC Dollymix, MAC Peaches, Nars Orgasm, Benefit Coralista, Bourjois Lilas D'or, Lakme Earth Rose Trio Blush, Lakme Cheek Artist Kiss Of A Rose (Visit the Blush Bar for swatches)

Our version is the girliest kind of international glam possible, a style ride that combines postage-stamp-sized puppies with pixie swizzle-stick fashion and buttergly kisses for cute boys and even cuter shoes! Come on, get happy, with the multi-culti cutie, from Tokyo to Toronto to Paris with love! Pastel shades for Eye Quads, Lipstick, Plushglass, and Nail Lacquer…And due to popular demand, we’re completely cute-ifying three favourite Lip Pencil shades from last season that will join the fun and frolic. Flash! You’ll ♥ the Mineralize Blush with the sweet heart baked right into it. If it shines, shimmers and pops it’s completely, contagiously, cute!
Do you also think I look paler? The cold is sucking the color out of me. I should have applied a bit of bronzer there, but I guess I was jaded after slogging all day since my new (occasional) maid didn't show up... two days in a row! That too in her first week we hired her.She works so lazily! She yawns (without covering her mouth) and says "What time is it now?" everyday. That's Ayah lingo for "I want to go now & I don't want to wash the sponges" It's not like I sat idle like a Nazi princess while she worked. I did it along with her.
Yes, I do want to fire her come Monday morning, but I think I should let her complete one month. What do you think?
Anyways, enough about her =D. THE eyeliner I'm talking about is Colorbar's I-Glide Pencil in Jaded. It's a glossy jade green shade that's perfect for Christmas, especially if you don't wear colorful eyeshadows but still want to add color to your eyes. It's affordable (Rs.325) & glides like a dream.
It's one green eyeliner which would look good on all skin tones, and if you have green eyes... OMG you are gonna have to wear one of those necklaces/bracelets (black tourmaline?) or a dot of kajal behind your earlobe to ward off evil/envy eyes.
Here's a requested tutorial on how to apply lip products & get that perfect pout.
I'll be using these products:
eos Honeysuckle Honeydew Lip balm, Bourjois Levres Contour Lip liner in #11 Enjoleuse, Bourjois Sweet Kiss Naturel Lipstick #06 Rose Tendre, The BodyShop Retractable lip brush, , Bourjois Effet 4D Gloss #64 Rose Metallise
Step 1: Prep Lips
Prep your lips by applying your favorite lip balm for smooth application. If the lip balm is too glossy, pat excess with a tissue, to prepare your lips for lip liner.
