Lakmé Vitamin C+ Serum ~ Does It WORK?
My bottle is near empty, the last few drops of serum rest still at the bottom, quite like the last sip of tea at the bottom of a lone tea cup in my kitchen sink. It's habitual, the tea thing. The last drops of skincare product, on the other hand, is a harbinger of either 'Need More' or 'Never Again'.‘I’ll try it over my Mamonde Rose Water Toner today.’, I thought to myself many weeks ago, while standing under the hot shower. It had been raining, and I made the water January-weather hot. My body wash smelled so good, like Blueberries dipped in cotton candy spring water, and I reminded myself to have some Blueberry Greek Yogurt later. Blueberry became my #1 flavour overnight, overshadowing all the other fruit flavours. *Deleted Squid Games on Netflix Top 10 analogy here, because I couldn't get through even 1 episode - yet*
'I wonder what Kakudu Plum tastes like... like the plums that grew in the backyard of my childhood home? Nah... 'kakudu' just doesn't sound like something sweet to me. I'm thinking... somewhat bitter-sour, like amla (gooseberry). It also sounds like something with a hard shell - like coconut, something you can knock on & it'd make a ka-ku-du type of sound...'
Before my face dried completely, it had been rose water-toned with a cotton pad. The glass dropper felt cold like a shard of ice against my face as I dragged it like a feather across half my face & squeezed little drops of Lakmé Vitamin C+ Serum. Only half my face, because I wanted to compare - and I do this as a consumer, not a f------ critic.
Then I just stood there & stared at the one half of my face in the mirror. Waiting....waiting for a (
miracle)different outcome : filtered-looking pores, invisible blackheads, that plush reflective skin, that stark yang-like difference, that 'something' in a skincare product that makes you glow like you're about set to go on Instagram Reels and sync your expert skincare advice & tips with some bhangra type dance moves (hip thrust & pointing, yo). You're using all the ABC's now, after all - AHA, BHA, Vit C. You're on the righteous path of being the Baba Ramdev of skincare.

Makeup Haul: Smashbox, Lakmé, Maybelline
You know that feeling when you buy a new shampoo & matching conditioner, and you just can't wait to try them out? You even oil your hair prior to washing, in the hope that the possible hair transformation will be.....mind-blowing! You start out with the shampoo...it doesn't lather....you think: 'Oh, it's because of the oil.', so you squeeze out some more shampoo....and work it into your hair - more vigorously this time....still doesn't lather.... then you instinctively look at the bottle... it's conditioner! You'd mistakenly bought 2 conditioners!
Yes, people. Thankfully, the other conditioner is a 75 ml one. I thought I bought a big shampoo and a small conditioner. Okay, enough about that. I'm over it. Or I'm just distracted with other things......

NEW Lakmé Enrich Satin Lipsticks Photos & Swatches
P166 ~ Deeper than P169. It's such a gorgeous pink, and more flattering on me than P169. When you mix it with a purplish shade like P170 below.....
P165 ~ This one. This one is thebomb.com. It's the first shade I fell for while swatching at the store. It is very very similar to MAC Impassioned Lipstick. I'd even call it a dupe.
P164 ~ Tangerine shade. This has more silver shimmer, which makes it more of a pearly finish than opaque, like the other 2 shades above.
P170 ~ A lavender shade. Same finish like the tangerine shade P164. When mixed with P166, you'll get a shade very close to MAC Flat Out Fabulous Lipstick

Lippie HAUL After Lipstick Buying Ban
So my self-imposed Lipstick Ban is officially O-V-E-R. I had a lot to say about it, but the Notepad I'd written on is in my old laptop that broke down some days ago, and it just won't turn back on! If I sit here and try to re-write it, this post will be up.....I don't know when! The gist is at the end of this post......

Purple Glitter Eye Makeup Tutorial
STEP 1: After priming lids with an eyeshadow primer, apply purple eyeshadow on lids up to your crease line.
STEP 2: Also apply purple e/s on outer half of lower lash line.
STEP 3: Take some pink e/s on a blending brush, and sweep it along the edges of the purple e/s in a window wiper motion. Run the brush along the purple line on lower lash line as well. Blending tutorial here.
STEP 4: With a pointy pencil brush, apply a brown e/s on the outer V of upper lid.
STEP 5: Shade inside the V. Take more brown e/s to intensify the color.
STEP 6: With the same pencil brush, take a lilttle bit of matte black e/s, and make a V along the inner edges of the previous brown e/s. Just a little to define the crease line a little bit more (especially if you don't have a deep crease line), coz we don't black to overpower the other colors.
STEP 7: It should look something like that.

Lakmé Brown Eyeconic Kajal
After the success of the Black Eyeconic Kajal (I did a post on it here), Lakmé launched 5 more shades - Brown, White, Green, Grey & Blue. Brown pencil liners are my ultimate must-haves, so I couldn't wait to try this one!
It is not soft like a kohl pencil, so it's quite matte. This makes it really smudge-proof & long-lasting. When you wear it on your top lash line, it won't transfer on to your lids (you ladies with hooded lids know what I'm talking about)

Lakmé Absolute Gloss Stylist Pink Pout Photos, Swatches
Let me tell you a bad kiss story of a girl I know very well:
This girl went to meet a boy one evening. A boy she'd been friends with for a while, and then began chatting on the phone with. You know, typical romance story. When she came to see me afterwards that same evening, she was wearing a shiny pink lip gloss that was just a little bit lighter than this one. The center of her upper lip was swollen, and the lip gloss doubled it's swell. She must have thought the gloss would cover up the sting from her rendezvous. I said nothing, and just stared pointedly at the elephant's bottom on her upper lip, while she talked nervously. She knew that I knew.
When she couldn't take the awkwardness anymore, she blurted out: "The idiot bit me.", and then we had a good laugh.
Moral Of The Story: Never pick a shiny lip gloss to cover up a bad kiss, ladies! =D
About Lakmé Absolute Gloss Stylist:
Now get super luscious lips with this revolutionary gloss that incorporates unique light reflecting powders and shiny polymers for a high shine & coverage lacquered finish.

14 New Beauty Products On My Nightstand ~ From India & UK
For the last couple of weeks, I've been seriously craving GLITTER. I wanted some glitter eye shadows, badly. I have some, but they're all in our old apartment far away (and they are not very interesting.) I was so excited when I found some yesterday in Lifestyle. If you are not at all interested in glitter jhatakness, worry not, there are more things you can look at, coz it is sort of a Collective Haul post.
Faces Stackable Sparkle Glitter ~ Look! Aren't they super cute stacked up like that?! Colors: Silver, Gold, White, Blue, Pink, Purple. I know exactly what I'm sprinkling on my eyes first. Price: Rs.499
Faces Sparkle Dust in Light Pink ~ I noticed this before the glitters. These also come stacked, but I just a single for now. Price: Rs.200-something.
L'Oreal Stain Splash in Lolita (Nude) & Marilyn (Fuchsia) ~ Quite disappointed with these, coz they don't have as much color payoff as the first shade I'd tried, Princess (swatched here)
Lakmé Gloss Stylist in Pink Pout ~ Thought I should give one of these a try, since I have not got new Lakmé products in a long time. Will swatch it and let you know if it's worth the Rs.700 price tag.

12 Lip Crayons
When you were a kid/teen, you:
A. Used only the crayon you needed at a time. You like to keep them looking brand new.
B. Used only the bright colors. You probably colored leaves yellow or orange.
C. Used all of them at once. You loved coloring flowers and kites.
I pick C. I used all the crayons in my box as soon as I get them. I would just scribble rubbish with each and every color. I probably doodled CYNTHIA ♥ LEONARDO. Yes, Dicaprio was my life back then. My life!
That's why even now, I want to try ALL the lip crayons. I think I've swatched everyone of them in drugstores. But I don't have all (yet), I have only the ones shown below:

Lakmé Absolute Lip Tint Berry Pink Swatches, LOTD
On my coffee table, next to my laptop, among all the other stuff that I have to have near me at all times, I keep all my brand new lipsticks. To test, yes, but mainly to keep track (so I don't forget about them). Sometimes, I would use one of them a few minutes before going to brush my teeth and wiping it all off at night. It may seem pointless, but in those few minutes, I get to know the lipstick a little bit more. For over a month now, lipsticks have come and gone from the table. Only one remains - Lakmé Absolute Lip Tint. It may land in my handbag some days, but it always ends up back on the table. It's always there next to the tissue box, hand cream, mints, etc. What I'm trying to say is, I've been using it religiously. I used to apply it instead of a lip balm every time while watching Breaking Bad. Now even Breaking Bad is finished and gone *sad sigh*, and Lakmé Lip Tint is still on the table, now next to a new box of Kleenex.
Out of 6 shades, I picked Berry Pink. It's such a wearable pink, and I think it would suit a lot of people because it seems to change color and undertones (cool/warm). You don't know how many swatches I have clicked on different days. I decided to re-click my lip swatches because the previous ones didn't come out nicely, but in the new pics it looks too coral-ish.

Lakmé 9 to 5 Lip Color Blush Work ~ Not Just A Coral Lipstick
Lakmé brought 3 of my favorite things together with this lipstick:
1. Coral ~ The color.
2. Rose Gold. The Packaging.
3. ......................
Lakme Nine to Five brings you a range of shades that sit on your lips all day long. Enriched with Vitamin E; it conditions your lips & softens them with wheat germ oil. So, perk those soft, smooth lips with a touch of matte.
How To Apply:
Step 1: Stretch the lips and start at the center, putting on the lipstick to the corners.
Step 2: Blot the lipstick with a tissue. Make sure the lipstick has not smudged over the line of your lips.

How To: Blush, Bronzer, Highlighter
Hi, hi! Sorry for not posting for days. This was supposed to be up yesterday, but editing took longer. There was a false eyelash mishap that ruined most of the pics, sigh. Long story short: lash glue and mascara stuck together and clumped the lashes, I ignored, camera didn't.
This is one of the most requested tutorials! So many ladies want the JLo glow. For me personally, it's not a must-do, because I came from Delhi, where my face was always prone to sweating because of the heat. Now that I'm in cold Scotland, I do it quite often, and I see the why it's so sought-after. It does make your skin look more.....posh. Oh yes, Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) is also famous for her glowy cheeks.
Bronzer ~ Benefit Hoola. Matte bronzer is always better.
Blush ~ MAC Bite Of An Apple. This was a Limited Edition blush.
Highlighter ~ MAC Soft And Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish. It's better to pick a highlighter that is more pearlescent than glittery. If you're using a liquid highlighter, just apply 3-5 tiny dots, and blend with finger.
Rest of the makeup:
Face: I applied MUFE HD Foundation over Lakmé CC Cream, and they didn't agree very well, hence the spots.
Eyes: I used pinks & purples from the Sleek i-Divine Candy Palette. Swatches here
Lipstick here is MAC Betty Bright from Archie's Girls Collection. Shown here

HAUL From India ~ Lakmé, Maybelline, Avon, Pond's + Online Shopping Experience
Only yesterday I told you a package was on its way to me, and today I got it! Woohoo! All thanks to my sis & bro in-law who sent it very quickly. What I did was order them online, and get them shipped to my in-laws' place in New Delhi, and they they mail them to me. It's a 2-3 week process, but it's the only way I get to have the best of both worlds.

What's In My Makeup Bag? Sequel
Remember when my handbag was stolen in Goa when I'd gone for a holiday with my friends in 2011? Remember I told you the only thing that wasn't in the stolen handbag was my makeup bag? Or maybe I didn't mention it here, and just tweeted? I don't recall. Okay, I'll just tell you the gist:
While a bar/restaurant on a beach, I stood up for 2 mins to talk on my phone. I came back and my handbag wasn't on my chair anymore. This happened while all my friends and Mr.CZ were right there! We all went mad! When we sat down again, somebody pointed at my little makeup bag, sitting there on the center of the table among food & drinks. Oh, the joy! I must have taken it out to get a lipstick or something before that, and I'd forgotten to keep it back in my handbag. Quite strange, right?
This bag here is a new makeup bag, but I still have & use that one too in another handbag. How can I leave it when it didn't leave me?
- Too Faced Glamazon Eyeshadow ~ A gorgeous shimmery taupe eyeshadow, which makes a great cheek highlighter too.
- Benefit The Porefessional Face Primer Sample ~ Don't know if I like it, but I keep it in the bag in case
- Bourjois Cream Blush Nude Velvet ~ Cream blushes are better to keep in your handbag, because you don't need a brush.
- Accessorize Brow Kit ~ The brow powders could also double or triple up as eyeshadows & contouring powders - in emergencies. I love that it has tweezers, which I like to have with me. Shown here
- Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation Sample ~ There's an offer at Debenhams- Buy this foundation and get 1 YSL Cream Blush FREE! So I got it to try first. My shade is BD30. I find it quite oily, but that also gives my skin a nice dewy glow. I don't know if I'd buy the big pricey version, but I wants the free cream blush so badly! =D
- Majolica Majorca Pressed Pore Powder ~ Compact powder! Very important. Read about powders here
- The Face Shop Mini Pet Hand Cream ~ Dry hands, my pet peeve. More pics here.
- Maybelline Cover Stick Concealer Medium Beige ~ Just an emergency concealer.

Blushes I LOVE ~ To The Moon And Back!
"Mamma never loved her much, and Daddy never keeps in touch. That's why she shies away from human affection."
~ To The Moon And Back, Savage Garden.
Presenting the only blushes I really use & am very attached to....
[Clockwise starting from the leopard print box]:
Benefit Coralista ~ If you've been reading my blog forever, you must know how much I love this blush. This is the one blush I want to repurchase even though the first one is not even close to finishing. If it wasn't so darn pricey, I'd go buy a new box just to look at & smell (because it is scented, and mine has lost it). You should have seen the husband's face when I said this =D . Price ~ £23.50 in UK = Rs.2218.
MAC Bite Of An Apple (Matte) ~ Bite.Of.An.Apple. Say it slowly, and you'll feel a little wicked, like Snow White's Evil Queen herself. But there's nothing evil about the blush shade, it's one of the most amazing coral blushes I've ever seen. This is a Limited Edition that came out with MAC Venomous Villains Collection. Price: Rs.1210.
MAC Fleur Power (Satin) ~ This is my oldest most-used blush. It's my go-to blush when I'm confused what to use. It sits in that perfect place between pink & coral, and that's what makes it so reachable. Price: Rs.1150.
Lakmé Cheek Chromatic Baked Blush in Day Blushes ~ Swatches below will prove how it holds its own beside Benefit & MAC. More photos & I wore it here. Price: Rs.550.
MAC Cream Soda Betty Blush (Satin) ~ It may look too pale, but it shows up beautifully when applied. Medium peach when layered. Also a Limited Edition that came out with MAC Archie's Girls Collection. Price: Rs.1544.
