Black Rose & Polka Dots

Yellow makes me happy...Polka dots are my favorite prints...and Roses...well, can't help but love 'em!
This is my first time wearing yellow & black polka dotted nails. Always wanted to, but too lazy to do them...until now.
As you can see the polka dots aren't uniform, but mistakes can hardly be fixed when doing nail art, and I'm not one to redo the whole thing.
I used the rounded end of a toothpick to put the dots. Yes, with shaky hands again. I hope it's not a symptom for something! =D

INGLOT Duraline Review & Trial Photos

INGLOT Duraline is like my new favorite toy these days. I've been playing around with it a lot! The only thing I haven't done is mix it with a powder blush to make a cream blush or a lipstick. I should try that and see, no? ;)

INGLOT Face Blush Review & Swatches

I told you there'll be a lot of INGLOT posts this week :) . This time it's Face Blush or simply Powder Blush. Yeah, why doesn't Inglot just call it powder blush instead of 'Face' Blush? I doubt they're meant for all over the face, like MAC's Beauty Powders.

This is shade #32 (I'd name it Coral Twinkle hehe...nah sounds like a Christmas ornament lol)
It's a really pretty coral shade with silver shimmer.

INGLOT AMC Cream Blush Review & Swatches

Who feels like eating that? Or, who jumped to raid the fridge only to find out there's nothing in it that looks like that? If it's both, then there wouldn't be any awkward silences if we met each other ;)

INGLOT AMC Cream Blush #84 is LO-LO-LO-LO-VE! That's Ashlee Simpson song btw.
The texture of the blush is buttery but not heavy, somewhat like a lightweight spreading chocolate. Oh, actually it is like a creamy cake icing. Yes, exactly like that (it just came to me!) It blends like a dream and it is more pigmented than it looks in the pan.

INGLOT Haul

I'm currently obsessed with INGLOT, so I hope you won't get bored when I keep talking about Inglot products in the days to come. Just 3 things this time. Actually I picked up 5 products , then kept 2 back with the thought that if I wanted them bad enough I'd go back to the store after a stroll around the mall- a little tip I read in Cosmo to avoid compulsive buying.
Damn the tip.
Coz by the time I headed back the store (in another mall), it was closed. But yeah, I don't really want those things now as I'm writing this ;p
Anyways, here's what I got....

Face Blush #32 (Rs.640) ~ A coral blush with silver sparkle. The tester of this looked so good in the pan, my knees went weak. Testers are always lighter than new unopened products coz of daily exposure to light. I was a little disappointed to see this new blush looking a little darker than the tester, but it still looks gorgeous.

Inglot & Mac Products I'm Trying Out...

The reason I didn't blog at all yesterday - An all day shopping trip with my friend. For a change, my haul wasn't all makeup. I just bought a few items from Mac and Inglot and some clothes ~ One fabulous & most expensive dress I've ever bought and one cheapest fabulous dress I've ever bought ;)

By the way, I wasn't tempted by Mac Petticoat & Stereo Rose Mineralize Skinfinish from the recent In The Groove Collection, coz.... well, I didn't like them AT ALL! I mean, wth was the fuss all about?! I swatched them and almost felt guilty that my heart didn't sing hallelujah. It's also a shame that I could have easily gotten them but didn't, when some other people who really really want them are pouting coz they're either sold out or not available in their country :(

Anyways, the first item is an Inglot Freedom Palette of 3 eyeshadows. You can customize anything you want in the freedom palettes: Eyeshadows, Lipsticks, Concealers, Eyebrow Powders and Wax, Blushes, Pressed Powders.

It's so fun (and confusing!) to hand-pick shades and have your very own customized palette. I'm not a fan of single eyeshadows, which is why I don't buy them much. I prefer my eyeshadows  in a palette.

Inglot Freedom Eyeshadow Palette (Rs.1200)

Each eyeshadow cost Rs.300 and you pay another 300 for the palette
Inglot eyeshadows has 3 finishes: Double Sparkle, Pearl & Matte.

After about 40 minutes (!), I fickle-mindedly finalised my palette.

DS 500, DS465, Pearl 444

I've yet to use them on my eyes, but I'm quite liking the textures and pigmentation of these so far.

Swatches: 500, 465, 444

I've wanted to try an arched eyeliner brush since forever and I've only seen one at Inglot here in Delhi, so I finally bought one.

Eyeliner Brush 30T (Rs.640)

I love how Inglot pack their brushes. Sterilized and tightly packed (unlike MAC brushes :\)

The only Mac product I got is the Fix+, a 'love it or hate it' product. I had to find out for myself whether it deserves the hype or the diss

Mac Fix+ Skin Refresher/Finishing Mist (Rs.900)

So, those are things I'll be using a lot now.

Enjoy your weekend =)

The Hottest Nail Colors & A Few Dupes in India

I am on a 'Dupes' hunting spree these days. So, when Instyle listed the 15 HOTTEST Nail Colors a few weeks ago, I took printouts of all the nail polishes and went looking for dupes, ignoring the puzzled stares of shopkeepers =D

I couldn't find dupes for all of them in one market though.

Nails inc ~ Eden Grove
Isn't that a cute bottle?! And such an unusual nail polish shade. No dupe found. Yet.

Deborah Lippmann ~ Between the Sheets
There is a similar shade in Chambor, in a teeny tiny bottle

Inglot & Mac Haul ~ Reviews & Swatches

Inglot Lip Duo Lip Gloss Lip Paint #23 (Rs.720)

Since I loved the AMC Lip Paint so much (Review here), I wanted to try this too. Love it! Want MORE! I'm so in lurrve with the packaging! It's like a little chunky cube... oh-so-cute!!!

Inglot Lipstick #106 (Rs.800)

This lipstick is made of Vitamin E and apricot kernel oil, and is paraben free. I had trouble bringing out the actual color on camera. It is a peachy-coral shade. Actual shade is not at all like the photo on the right and it's a bit more peach than the picture on the left. I did swatch on my lips but the color just didn't come out right! The finish is quite like Mac's Amplified.

♥♥ Yellow Lovin' ♥♥
Inglot Nail Enamel #721 (Rs.590)

Yellow is my favorite favorite color after pink. This is my first ever yellow nail paint and I've yet to wear it properly. Will do a separate "Yellow" post soon. It has a matte finish and does not contain: toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, camphor. The exact shade is like the one the right, not at all like the one I clicked >.< .

Did I say I'm bored of Mac? =)
Mac Warm & Cozy Tinted Lip Conditioner ~ Feelin' Good (Rs.870)

When I was told it was the last one left at the store, I had to get it! Call it the thrill of getting the 'Last One' Taking a break from pink-toned Mac Tinted Lip Conditioners for a change. This comes out nude on my lips. Great to prep my lips with before applying another lipstick shade.

Mac Studio Finish Concealer NC 35 (Rs.920)

Old news, but necessary. Covers spots and blemishes quite well, but I find it too thick and cakey for the undereye areas. The shade NC 35 is closest to my skin tone.

Inglot AMC Lip Paints

Have you tried Inglot AMC Lip Paints yet?
I have fallen for them.
Hard.

Available in 20 shades

I'm hoping to own at least 6 of these, because:
  • I find potted lip products very charming and irresistible
  • They smell indescribably good
  • Many beautiful shades to pick from
  • Paraben-free and not tested on animals
  • Very moisturizing, lustrous, and lasts a decent amount of time.
  • I personally think that it's better than Mac tinted lip conditioner (and cheaper too.) Burn!
  • I'm kinda BORED of MAC. Really.

Here is shade #66

The price of these went down from Rs.800 (or 820?) to Rs.720. Sigh! If only had waited.

More temptations.........
