DHC Deep Cleansing Oil Review

This cleansing oil is DHC's 'superstar' product. Ever since I came to know about cleansing oils, I've wanted to try this one as it'a very popular and gotten rave reviews.

Ricci Ricci By Nina Ricci For 'My' Special Day

Today is a special day for me, and I'm celebrating it with Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci.

It's a special day because it's my day. Literally. 14th January is "Cynthia" Day, named by 'somebody special' for reasons that are personal. No, please don't wish me.. haha! It sounds silly, but it means something to us, plus I get gifts so it's not silly after all! ;)

Mac Chromagraphic Pencil ~ Great Spot Concealer!

The Mac Pret-a-Papier Collection is long gone, but I want to rave about one product that have been treating me real good- Chromagraphic Pencil. 

The Chromagraphic Pencil is a multi-purpose product. It can be used as a concealer, eye liner (a good alternative to white pencil for the waterline.) But it's NOT FOR LIP AREA. I guess outside the lip line is okay, when you want to emphasize your pout.

I use it mainly as a spot concealer. It covers pimple scars, freckles, dark spots pretty well + I can precisely dot it where I want it. It's definitely better than the other jumbo-like Mac concealer pencils

Who wants to kiss (on the cheek!) that girl in the promo pic? Isn't the whole pin-up girl meets Barbie look just ADORABLE?!! And OMG...BOWS! *.*  Très Vichy in French means "Very Gingham" and I'm a big fan of gingham prints too! I can't wait for this collection. It's the cutest one since the MAC Hello Kitty Collection in  my books. I hope that it'll definitely be launched in India too.

My Perfect Imperfections. Baring it all!

I know I'm quite late with this tag, but I didn't have the time (and courage) to do it until now. I was tagged by Anju to do this a few months back.
Basically, I have to list my 3 imperfections & 3 things I love about myself. So here goes...

My 3 Imperfections:

1. Skin ~ When it's good, it's great. When it's bad, it's a female dog. I've had one pimple after another since last December. Permanent scars- pock mark on my forehead, scratch mark on my cheek (I'm not sure if it was the nanny or the mother). The biggest evil of all? Pigmentation/Melasma. It's like a time bomb! Right now I have clusters of dark spots in areas of my face, and if I stop taking care or GET KNOCKED UP, they will increase in size and spread all over my face! Ahhh....!!! Babies or a flawless face? One day we will find out.
2. Uneven lower teeth ~ Actually my top ones were uneven too, but I got them fixed. The lower ones were a lost cause. I'm thinking Invisalign this year, although I could live with uneven bottom teeth.
3. Nose ~ I wish it was shorter and 'cute as a button'

Find Katy Perry/Lady Gaga Wigs, Eyelashes & Costume Items At KKCenterHK

I was contacted by this Hong Kong-based online website called KKCenterHK right around the time I was looking for a Katy Perry wig. As you all know wigs and such are very hard to find in India (and Miss Jo didn't have the ones I want ether.) I checked out the site, and boy! They sell a lot of stuff! Wigs, Eyelashes, Gloves & Stockings, Makeup, ESSIE Nail Polishes, and shoes too! :). They ship internationally, which I'm really happy about, coz I really needed an online store for wigs and stuff. You know I like to dress up! =D

My Hunt For Dotted Stockings & Found These...

Ever since dotted stockings became a trend, I'd been hunting for a pair. I didn't find them here and I didn't find them in Kuala Lumpur back in September either. I got so desperate I even thought about buying a plain pair of  black stockings and using black fabric paint to put dots on them. Okay, honestly, I just thought of that. I didn't get that desperate.
For the record, I don't like the ones with BIG penny-sized dots. Small beauty spot dots for me.
So, on Christmas Eve day, I found a pair with heart-shaped dots from Aldo. I wouldn't have bought them if they costed more than what they did, which was Rs.450, coz they didn't look like they'll survive a minor scratch from a dry cuticle, let alone a chipped nail! And they weren't packed in a polythene packet, they were just displayed barely for all to feel & scratch! I don't know what Aldo was thinking! =[

True story is: I was in Aldo with a friend, told the SA I was buying the stockings, she took it to the cash counter, then I got distracted looking at sunglasses & earrings, and left the store totally forgetting about the stockings! Of course, I remembered a few feet later and went back to actually buy them.


Since I'm doing stockings, I thought I'd show you these ones that I got from Kuala Lumpur as well...

Yup I 'settled' for these since I couldn't find dotted ones. Something is always better than nothing, right? I think they were about the same price as the Aldo ones. 

By the way, some people call these "Tights". Like, 'dotted tights' or 'patterned tights'. I can't bring myself to call them Tights, coz tights to me are the thick and opaque knit ones. If they're sheer, I always call them "Stockings". But yeah, I guess tights seem appropriate for sheer ones too. What about you? Tights or stockings?
