Ever since the 'Greige' (grey+beige) nail trend started, I've wanted to get my hands on...or just get a glimpse of  a shade like it here in Delhi of the India. Chanel Particulier...

...and others, like OPI 'You Don't Know Jacques' became the most wanted nail polishes. So we read and sighed. Then I spotted  the Brown Collection at Inglot yesterday, and one might just be a dupe for the Particulier.

Pink Lippies For V-Day

For this Valentine's Day, I'm thinking Pinks, not Reds. 
Rosy Pinks, not Hot Pinks.

I once read in Cosmo that men are most likely to be more attracted to a woman on a first date or at a club, if she is wearing pink. Last night I was telling my man that I want to go buy a dress for V-day, and he said "Ya, get something pink". Ting! Cosmo does know the mens, doesn't it? ;).

Nivea Fruity Shine Pink Guava ~ LOVE!

Meet my latest crush, Nivea Fruity Shine Pink Guava. Oh-my-gosh, I love it so much! It is my favorite out of all the Nivea Fruity Shines I have tried. It comes in a pink guava-colored tube with a new slanted design cap. The color is suuuper gorgeous with just the right amount of pink shimmer- not too jhatak (Hindi word for 'in-your-face')

Look at that color! It is a coral pink, which is exactly pink guava (unlike The Body Shop Born Lippy Pink Guava lip balm) It smells almost like pink grapefruit.

Mac Espresso Eyeshadow Review, Swatch & EOTD

Mac Espresso is a muted golden brown matte eyeshadow. It is one of MAC's best-selling eyeshadows. I don't know why, but it was looking lighter than it actually is in most photos. So, I ended up with only one photo where it looks almost exactly like it does off camera. We all hate misleading photos & swatches, don't we?

On my nails today is Colorbar Nail Lacquer in Autumn Rose (Without any Top Coat)

It's a neon coral pink shade, that's quite hard to capture on camera. That's is why I put 3 photos, where it's looking different in each.

My Perfume Collection & Top 6 (Valentine's Day Special)

Who likes perfumes?! I'm more of a collector than a wearer of perfumes. So for me, it's not the perfume that matters, it's the bottle. But if both are fabulous then I'll actually wear them. 

After hearing that Lady Gaga is going to launch a perfume that smells like bodily fluids (who's gonna buy that?!), I was inspired to gather all my perfumes for a photoshoot. Weird, I know, but maybe I just needed to replace some rather disturbing images in my head with pretty pictures. 

Valentine's Day is approaching too, and perfumes make disappointment-proof gifts to put in that list of things-you-want for your confused significant other to pick from, or to simply gift your fabulous self (why wait for a man to gift you pretty things?!)

So, here's my collection- half of them gifted, mostly by women ;). Let's start with the pinks...

Lilac Lips, Anyone?

This little pot brought 2 of my current favorite things - Inglot Lip paint & Lilac. Inglot Lip Paints are some of the best lip products I've ever tried, so I'm sort of collecting them little by...I mean one by one.

Ever since I got the MAC Violetta lipstick from the Venomous Villains Collection, my eyes are always drawn to the purple family. I have never worn a lilac lippy before, and this one is perfecto.

Just when I was thinking about getting the Sigma MaxBag, I was gifted this cute hot pink makeup bag. I like that it looks like a handbag.

There's a strap inside, which you can attach to the sides and sling it on your shoulders if you want. I know, it should have been hot pink too, right? But it goes with the pink-light grey combo.

I was looking for a mlbb (my lips but better) lipstick at MAC last year, and after trying more than 10 brown-pink-toned lipsticks, I found one that wasn't exactly mlbb but close. It looked very natural and I lit up my lips. I had to have it! But it wasn't in stock!

Mac Cremeblend Blush ~ So Sweet, So Easy Review & Swatches

MAC has decided to relaunch the Cremeblend blushes that came out with In Lillyland Collection, and discontinue Blushcremes. It doesn't affect me coz the Blushcreme shades I like will be converted to Cremeblend.

Mac Cremeblend Blush in So Sweet, So Easy is a bright yellow pink which looks very bubblegum-ey. It is quite sheer and needs to be layered for it to show. I reach for this only when I'm feeling 'pink', but don't want very rosy cheeks. I'd say it is a warmer-toned & cream version of MAC Pink Swoon Powder Blush 

Top 6 Lakme Enrich Satin Lip Colors For Indian Skin Tones

Here my Top 6 Lakme Enrich Satin Lip Colors that I think would suit Indian skin tones- light, medium, dark. Most of them were part of the Gypsy Collection that came out last fall-winter, except for one shade, which was launched with the first batch.

The Carrie Diaries + F21 Earrings = Fabulous Things Under 500 Bucks

Last year I reached a point where I didn't feel happy after a shopping trip unless I've spent over 8-10k. I know, it's terrible. I felt terrible. It's not about the money, but the amount of things I had to buy to feel satisfied. The more I bought, the merrier I was. That has to change this year, I thought.

Recently, I bought 2 things that made me feel good, but didn't burn a hole in my pocket. Fabulous things that I would actually use.

The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell - If you're a 'Sex and The City' fan, you have to read this.

I've just read half the book (so if you've finished it, NO SPOILERS, please :) ), and I can't put it down. It's hilarious! Carrie's dad is a hoot. I plan on finishing it tonight.

I thought I'd post the 1st chapter in case you want to read a little before buying.

2 Must-try Products For Dry Skin

Don't you just hate it when dry skin starts itching like hell? Especially in places your arms can't reach, like the areas somewhere near your shoulder blades. You ask someone to scratch, but they keep missing the spot..."to the right...a little to the left...a little lower...ya there...scratch harder!". 'Arghh!' moment when that someone is a nail biter!

So, we need skincare products that will prevent dry/itchy skin and unladylike behaviour =D. Like these 2 that I am personally loving this winter:

Dove CreamOil Shower Creme Cherry Blossom & Almond Scent ~ LOVE this! A dollop of it on your loofah will turn into a luxurious creamy lather. The cherry blossom & almond scent is not as delish  as I thought it would be, but it's not bad either. And once it lathers up, you won't care how it smells coz it feels so darn good! It looks like a body lotion and it's baby pink in color (1st pic)

Vaseline Lip Care Rosy Glow (Strawberry Frost) & Healthy White (Fresh Vanilla) Swatches

Newest lip care products in my stash- Vaseline Lip Care in Rosy Glow & Healthy White.

Vaseline Lip Care Rosy Glow (Strawberry Frost) is strawberry flavored and glossy like a lip gloss. It gives lips a soft pink tint. It has a mild cooling/menthol feel, hence the 'frost' to it's name, I guess. I thought it was going to plump up my lips too, but no.

Vaseline Lip Care Healthy White Lip (Fresh Vanilla) is a clear jelly-like balm that protects lips from UV & darkening. I like the pink tube. I can hardly smell the vanilla in it, but it is definitely not fragrance-free.

Both claim to give 24 hour+ moisturized lips.

Colorbar Nail Treatment ~ My Nails But Better

If you don't have time to buff your nails, you could do with a product that will give you the same results in 2 minutes. For me, it is Colorbar Nail Treatment. 

Colorbar Nail Treatment can be used alone or as a nail polish base. I have only used it alone. I apply 2 coats and my nails look so much better, as if they are laminated. I really like the consistency of this product because it is neither runny nor thick. It is just right to apply evenly without any streaks. Hmm...I should use it as a base too.

Bright Rimmel Lipsticks ~ Swatches

Bright lips will definitely be a trend in the spring, so I picked out 3 of the brightest lipsticks I have that aren't red or hot pink. They are by Rimmel- Moisture Renew & Colour Show Off.

Moisture Renew lipsticks have a lustrous moisturizing finish, whereas Colour Show Off lipsticks have a matte/velvet finish and are highly pigmented. I like both finishes. I think Rimmel Lipsticks are worth a try if you are a lipstick gal.
