Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipsticks Review & Swatches


For a rich lip colour with a creamy shine, the Velvett Matte Lipstick, available in 45 stunning shades infuse the lips with vibrancy. These are the 2 shades I have:
  •  Hot Hot Hot ~ Chilly red
  • Addictive Magenta ~ Red purple

Likes:
♥  Highly pigmented & goes on very smoothly
♥ They feel soft & velvety
♥  Don't dry out my lips at all, although they're matte
♥ They last. Maybe up to the claimed 5 hours minus the creamy texture.
♥ The lipsticks don't wear off completely leaving your lips looking pale, but leave some color like lip tints do.
♥ Available in 45 shades! 
♥  Inexpensive at Rs.225 a pop
♥ Cute silver-cum-plastic glass tubes with individual colors at the bottom. Much more classy-looking than NYX Round Lipsticks

Dislikes:
- They are mildly scented. I know the scent, but I can't remember what it is (which drives me crazy!). I think the fact that I can't put a name to the scent bothers me more than the scent itself. But I assure you, it's not something to worry about.
- Hard to remove. You'll need more than a tissue to get the colors completely off your lips.

My favorite is Hot Hot Hot. I think it's one of the best red lipsticks I own.
I totally recommend the Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipsticks. I think they are some of the best inexpensive lipsticks in India.

Buy again?  Absolutely!

    Hot hot hot looks so good on you..i have only one color bar velvet matte...i really like the textures of em ! This post made me wanna go and buy another one...somehow the nice colors are always sold out in colorbar...the stockist at pantaloons in ambi sucks..they never have anything

    I have naked pink..love the fact that they are long lasting..bt upon a lip balm..they stay less n come off easily too..
    m surely checkin out hot hot hot !! will it suit warm tones ?

    I have a couple of shades from this range & quite like them too myself - I only find them a bit dry - but otherwise they are fab. HHH looks hawt on you! :D

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one.
