I'm doing this post purely as a blogger, just to show you how I click photos for this blog. It's been requested by some other beauty bloggers, but all you non-bloggers might find these tips handy too, you know, when clicking pics of your kid's birthday cake, or your new mani to show-off on Facebook. If you don't have a camera, and never click photos, you can just look at the MAC lippies. I put them in there just for you =)
Since I couldn't use my camera, I used my mobile - Samsung S3. Previously Mr.CZ's, coz I was using Nokia Lumia 820, which I no likey. We swapped, sadly not before he dropped it on a marble floor and cracked the screen. I wanted it anyways, coz that Windows phone was driving me crazy.
My Camera: Sony Cybershot DSC-HX7V. When I'd gone shopping for a new camera (after my Panasonic Lumix got stolen along with my handbag), I picked this over 2 DSLR's - Canon EOS-something & Nikon-something. Reason: It's smaller & lighter than the 2. It's simply more convenient & fits in my small handbag too.
Main Features: 10x Optical Zoom, 16.2 megapixel sensor, 3D images, Full HD Movie. I really don't know the rest.
Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Indians! I wanted to do something special, so I just picked out some orange & green products from my stash. Inspired by the colors on the Indian flag, of course. Navy blue is missing, because I didn't remember I have one in this palette. Oh, well. Let's just say it's about orange more, because we're talking makeup.

Marc Jacobs Oh, Lola! Sunsheer EDP(Limited Edition) ~ I went to check out Vera Wang Lovestruck, but ended up falling in love with this instead. The hard plastic deep berry flowers on Lovestruck put me off it. I don't know, they just looked tacky and un-Vera Wang-like. Oh,Lola! Sunsheer smells like raspberries, pears & vanilla- LOVE! Both bottle & scent are totally my type. Price: £37.60 | Rs.3450 for 50ml from Escentual.
Primark J'Adore Cushion ~ How pretty is this cushion?! I had to get it! Bed sheets & duvet covers are also available in that print, and I will go get them even though I have no idea how I'll pack them when I leave Scotland! But I must have them. Yes, mine! Price: £4 | Rs.367.

The night before I went to buy these, I had a dream:
A cardboard box came in the mail. By mail, I mean it magically appeared inside our front door. The box was quite big, oven-sized. I was ecstatic, because I vividly remember seeing all my teeth. I opened the box, and saw another smaller cardboard box inside it. I opened the smaller box, and saw a long pink box among some bubble-wrapped things. As I dragged the box to the living room, I clicked photos at the same time. In my mind, I was doing unboxing for the blog. I had no idea what I was unboxing, but I kept clicking and walking towards the bright living room. I was about to unwrap everything and find out what's inside the long pink box, then....
I woke up. I woke up! Why? Why do dreams like this always get cut short???
I felt cheated & irritated when I got up. Later that day, I headed to Superdrug and got some Candy to get over the anticlimactic dream.

Could you tell that I like clicking photos? Most of the time time, I click and click, and many many photos get stuck in my computer. Like these. I've had these since the time I was in New Delhi, in March. No swatches, but hope you like the pictures.

That bow is a ring/bague adorned with a white button with cherries on top & ESCADA is printed on the stretchable band. I like that the button is stitched (not glued) on the bow. This has to be one of the prettiest perfume bottles...so dainty.

Etude House Princess Etoinette Collection has got to be the best makeup collection that I've ever seen. Not only do the products scream luxury & vintage, they don't have repugnant price tags that deserve to be chewed by the sharks in Jaws. The creativity that went into the packaging & impeccable attention to detail make me feel intellectually inadequate, but they also made me realize how much beauty one's mind is capable of creating. Hats off to the brains behind it all- Sylvie de France (One of the 5 people I'd want to be for a day. Hello Whoever-Can-Make-It-Happen, please jot that down next to #4. Please hurry with #1. But one thing that I don't get: If the collection was inspired by Marie Antoinette, why "Etoinette"? Is that another Korean princess?
While vacuuming the kitchen floor, I looked out and saw autumn leaves all over one side of our backyard (thank you, neighbour's tree!) They look so beautiful! It hasn't been raining much, so they're dry & photo-friendly. Two things that have been making my make-up room smell (like heaven) really nice came to mind - Glade Scented Candles.
Purple is Winter Berries ~ So sweet & fruity. It smells like my favorite mints of all time Wrigley's Extra Forest Berries, which I've only seen in Malaysia.
Pink is With Love ~ This smells gorgeous....like a princess. Somewhat like the Lakmé Perfect Radiance Day Cream (that just occurred to me, so proud of my nose!)
Price ~ Around Rs.200 each, which is not bad for the quality.
I love to click pictures of beautiful & unusual things. Every once in a while, I'd like to share with you things that I really like, beautiful things but unrelated to make-up..... things Beyond Vanity. I find fun & creative things very inspiring, and I hope they inspire you too.
I'd like to start with the Jean Paul Gaultier Diet Coke cans. I don't drink Coke, or any other aerated drink, for that matter. I love my tea. But Mr.CZ can't live without Diet Coke/Pepsi. He got these the other day, and showed me the 'cute & different' packaging. My jaw dropped. I had just seen a weird photo about Jean Paul Gaultier for Coke in the recent magazines. You know, the one where some girl is holding Gaultier's head? I mean, photo of his head? I had no idea that this is what it's all about. These cans are gorgeous!
There are 2 types of cans designed by Jean Paul Gaultier- Day & Night. These are 'Night' cans, featuring Gaultier's iconic corset and cone bra design. The 'Day' cans feature Gaultier's signature Breton blue & white stripes. I like the 'Night' ones better.

- She created an album in our Facebook Page called "Love Lipstick Like A love Song" - while listening to the song with the same title. What? She's not lovesick....just bizarre.
Something you don't know about me, my heart is old. I'm fascinated with 'Olden Times' & 'Vintage'. I like everything black & white, I listen to Madonna almost everyday - Holiday, Vogue, Like A Prayer, Get Together, Get Into The Groove, Papa Don't Preach. When I listen to these songs, I feel....Alive, simply put. I truly feel I will fit better in the 60's- wear long gloves to the airport, wear red lipstick everyday, bake pies, wait desperately for my soldier husband....and maybe be like one of the women in Mad Men. Oh, and I really really want one of those vintage tring-tring telephones, for some reason.
That's why this Retro OOTD was at the top of my to-do list.

Apologies for the delay with the swatches, for those of you who expected to see them yesterday. I did get up early to click all the photos, but didn't have time to edit them and blog, because:
- I had to go to the mall to exchange a defective MANGO dress. Thank God, they had another one in XS! I call this dress 'good purchase of the week', can't wait to show you!=)
- I had to attend Mr.CZ's niece's birthday (7th, I think)
- Noisy kids sucked (sucked!) all the energy out of me & I was so beat by the time we reached home after 8. For the record, I don't dislike kids....but I really hate some =[
So here are the photos & swatches of the stuff I got from MAC Shop & Cook Collection.
Make Me Simmer Lipstick (Amplified Finish): Described as a bright pink orange, it is simply coral- a bright coral. If you're looking for a true coral lipstick, this is the one. It is extremely pigmented that it leaves a pinkish-coral stain - that's very difficult to get off like MAC Party Parrot Lipstick - when it wears off. The difference between the two is, this is more peach & Party Parrot is more pink. To me, Make Me Simmer is the most unique shade from the collection. Price- Rs.990.
