My Facebook Status, 15th October :
My heart....
beating....
in slow motion....

beating....

....as I'm about to click 'Proceed To Checkout' on Ebay....entire Limited Edition makeup collection in my cart. Didn't "consult" with Mr.CZ first....

beating....

{to be continued}
=D

♥ CZ.

  Continued....

I clicked on it.....beating.....I was on the 'Confirm Payment' page within the next few minutes.....beating....Okay, maybe I should remove some items, and order them another time. That way the total amount will be split up and ....No, I want them ALL!  They all belong too-gad-der (together)The phone rang suddenly! It was Mr.CZ saying he'll be home in 5 mins. It was as if he knew I was about to do something behind his back! Long story short, I left the payment page as it was & waited till he got home before clicking the final button. Yes, I chickened out, sheesh!  =D
You don't know how much I wanted to talk about this collection! To say that they're on their way to meeeeee! But you know I'm kind of superstitious. Jinx and all that. What if I post in my blog, and the products don't turn up at my door? I thought, don't count your  chickens  Minnie Mouses before  they  hatch  postman delivers them.

Lakmé Absolute Lip Tint Berry Pink Swatches, LOTD

On my coffee table, next to my laptop, among all the other stuff that I have to have near me at all times, I keep all my brand new lipsticks. To test, yes, but mainly to keep track (so I don't forget about them). Sometimes, I would use one of them a few minutes before going to brush my teeth and wiping it all off at night. It may seem pointless, but in those few minutes, I get to know the lipstick a little bit more. For over a month now, lipsticks have come and gone from the table. Only one remains - Lakmé  Absolute Lip Tint. It may land in my handbag some days, but it always ends up back on the table. It's always there next to the tissue box, hand cream, mints, etc. What I'm trying to say is, I've been using it religiously. I used to apply it instead of a lip balm every time while watching Breaking Bad. Now even Breaking Bad is finished and gone *sad sigh*, and Lakmé Lip Tint is still on the table, now next to a new box of Kleenex.

Out of 6 shades, I picked Berry Pink. It's such a wearable pink, and I think it would suit a lot of people because it seems to change color and undertones (cool/warm). You don't know how many swatches I have clicked on different days. I decided to re-click my lip swatches because the previous ones didn't come out nicely, but in the new pics it looks too coral-ish.

Bourjois Java Rice Powder ~ Iconic Product In 1879!

BOURJOIS REINVENTS ITS ICONIC JAVA RICE POWDER FROM 1879!
Bourjois celebrated its 150th Anniversary this year. Wow! They reinvented a vintage edition of its first historical best-seller - 2 million sold each year in the early 20th century!
Java Rice Powder:
~ A delicately scented feather-light powder that lights up and smoothes complexion in one step. ~ Its radiant and velvety finish immediately creates a youthful glow.
~ One translucent shade is universal and lights up all skin tones.

I adore the packaging. At first, I thought the white was a sticker, but it's not. It's printed on.

MAC Retro Matte Lipsticks ~ My Picks

There's no MAC store in Dundee, so coming to Edinburgh for a 3-day vacation the same time this collection was launched was perfect timing. We reached here on Friday Thursday, and that same day I walked-cum-ran to the MAC store at Harvey Nichols in the rain. I lost my bouncy curly hair on the way there, but those aren't Limited Edition like these lipsticks, so it's alright.
About Retro Matte Collection: Inspired by Ruby Woo's overwhelming popularity and one-of-a-kind texture, M•A•C introduces new bold shades in its Retro Matte finish.

HAUL From India ~ Lakmé, Maybelline, Avon, Pond's + Online Shopping Experience

Only yesterday I told you a package was on its way to me, and today I got it! Woohoo! All thanks to my sis & bro in-law who sent it very quickly. What I did was order them online, and get them shipped to my in-laws' place in New Delhi, and they they mail them to me. It's a 2-3 week process, but it's the only way I get to have the best of both worlds.

MUA One Direction Make-Up

Now you can wear Harry Styles & Zayn Malik, girlies! =)
Boy band of the moment, One Direction, has launched a makeup collection with MUA Cosmetics. It's weird, but if Bieber can launch perfumes for girls, I say why not.
Priced only from £2.50 to £3 | Rs.234-Rs.280, I think it's perfect for teenage 1D fans. Also good for non-teenage, not-1D-fans-just-beauty-obsessed like some of us =D
I might pick up a few today. I got a sneak peek at the Pout Polishes the other day, and they're cute!
Available now at Superdrug
MUA ships worldwide if you want to order online.

Sleek Makeup Candy Collection Photos & Swatches

The night before I went to buy these, I had a dream:
A cardboard box came in the mail. By mail, I mean it magically appeared inside our front door. The box was quite big, oven-sized. I was ecstatic, because I vividly remember seeing all my teeth. I opened the box, and saw another smaller cardboard box inside it. I opened the smaller box, and saw a long pink box among some bubble-wrapped things. As I dragged the box to the living room, I clicked photos at the same time. In my mind, I was doing unboxing for the blog. I had no idea what I was unboxing, but I kept clicking and walking towards the bright living room. I was about to unwrap everything and find out what's inside the long pink box, then....
I woke up. I woke up! Why? Why do dreams like this always get cut short???
I felt cheated & irritated when I got up. Later that day, I headed to Superdrug and got some Candy to get over the anticlimactic dream.

All the colors are so deliciously pretty! Take a look at the swatches below....

Imperfect Look With Illamasqua I'MPERFECTION Collection & Swatches

Products Used:
Face ~ Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer Medium, Rimmel Stay Mate Powder
Cheeks ~ Illamasqua Blush Duo Katie Ambition
Lips ~ Illamasqua Immodest Lipstick
Eyes ~ Products listed in my previous EOTD post here

Now I'll show you swatches and talk about the products.....
I gotta hand it to Illamasqua for presentation. These products came to me in a cardboard box filled with cardboard noodles & polka dotted feathers. Yeah, polka dotted feathers. Faux, of course. I threw away the box, but I kept the feathers. I was going to use use them in my look up there, but I couldn't remember when I put them that day.
Illamasqua Powder Blush Duo in Katie/Ambition, £28 (Rs.2347) ~ Katie is a matte baby pink with a silky smooth texture & Ambition is a muted pink with tiny golden shimmery bits, and has more of a frosty finish. Both apply smoothly, and complement each other when worn together. I adore the sleek compact case with mirror.
Katie, Ambition

Illamasqua Blush Up Brush, £28.50 (Rs.2388) ~ This has got to be the most interesting brush I've seen lately. I knew I had to have it from the moment I laid eyes on it. It's a stiff brush but with super soft bristles. It's the perfect contouring brush because of the shape, it's perfect for under cheekbones and sides of the nose too. But boy, is it pricey!
Illamasqua Lipstick Immodest, £16 (Rs.1341) ~  Such a gorgeous bright pink in a classy square-ish packaging  But the finish is disappointing. It's matte, but not a smooth-looking matte. It is dry, chalky and stiff, and doesn't apply well. It is fragrance-free.
The silver lining (or, pink lining?), however, is it leaves behind the most gorgeous stain I'd ever seen on my lips.....
All Illamasqua I'MPERFECTION products shown are available on www.illamasqua.com  . They ship worldwide.

Ordered: MAC Riri Woo Lipstick (etc.)

Riri, a.k.a Rihanna collaborated with MAC to create a vivid cool red 'Limited Editionlipstick named Riri Woo. It's a Retro Matte finish like my favorite red lipstick, Ruby Woo, which is also the inspiration behind Riri Woo.
According to E online, it sold out in 3 hours when it launched yesterday. Wow! If you want it, RUN!
I love Ruby Woo, and I used to think, "Ah, I wish there was a darker version in this retro matte finish (only)" Riri Woo looks like that version.
Free delivery over £30 (£2.45 delivery charges if under that), so I decided to get Mineralize Rich Lipstick in Style Surge (a coral shade). All shades shown here

Prices:
  • MAC Riri Woo Lipstick ~  £14 (Rs.1175). It's an online exclusive. Means it won't be sold in stores.
  • MAC Mineralize Rich Lipstick ~  £20 (Rs.1680)

Available online at MAC UK

Now we wait for 3-5 business days......

MAC Marilyn Monroe Lipstick Love Goddess Dupe?

More than 10 YESES came in when I asked you if the lipstick looked like a dupe of the other lipstick. Previous post here, in case you missed it. A lot of yeses, actually. Some even guessed the lipsticks already! Such smart readers I have...it's like I can't hide anything for long! =D
Okay! The lipsticks are MAC Love Goddess (from Marilyn Monroe Collection. Photos & Swatches here) & Lakmé Enrich Satin #356.
I went to check out the new shades of Lakmé Enrich Satins, and from the first moment I saw Lakmé Enrich Satin 356, I thought it looked similar to MAC Love Goddess. I had to wait to compare them coz I was in Delhi, and Love Goddess was in Newcastle. When I could finally hold them together, they did not look exactly the same. Lakmé Enrich Satin #356 looked redder. But when I swatched & wore them, it's a different story. They looked almost the same. Ohhh, they're both Satin finish too- I realized this just now, as I'm writing! MAC Satin finish....Lakmé Enrich Satin .....sheesh, what a tube light I am sometimes.
MAC Love Goddess,  Lakmé Enrich Satin #356

I applied MAC Love Goddess on the right side of my lips & Lakmé Enrich Satin #356 on the left. Excuse the lopsidedness =D

After blotting with a tissue....
As you can see, Lakmé Enrich Satin #356 is a little bit darker and has more red in it. But I think they look similar enough.

Price Difference:
  • MAC Love Goddess ~ Rs.1050/ I bought it for Rs.1297 from UK. It was a 'Limited Edition' lipstick.
  • Lakmé Enrich Satin #356 ~ Rs.225. [Lakmé, Y U NO stick to these prices?]

DUPE METER:  I'd say 95% but it could look 99% if applied in a super copycat style.

What do you all think? Btw, did you want MAC Love Goddess and couldn't get it? Comment below with your feedback for more DUPE posts! =)
