Forever New Haul & Accessorizing A Skirt

You see an expensive-looking Metallic Brocade Skirt at 50% off (under 900 bucks) + it's the last piece + it's in your size. What do you do? You grab it & try it on (outside, coz the trial rooms are all occupied.) 

You don't really need this skirt (and you have another FN off-white skirt you bought almost 2 years ago & have never worn), so you're confused whether or not to buy it. 30% buy, 70% don't buy. Then a girl wearing nothing but a white banyan (under shirt) pops out of a trial cubicle & asks you if you're buying the skirt. You're terrified! "YES. WHY?" clutching the skirt tighter.

Favorite MAC Lipstick. Hint: Pastries

I was looking for a mlbb (my lips but better) lipstick at MAC last year, and after trying more than 10 brown-pink-toned lipsticks, I found one that wasn't exactly mlbb but close. It looked very natural and I lit up my lips. I had to have it! But it wasn't in stock!

Mac Cremeblend Blush ~ So Sweet, So Easy Review & Swatches

MAC has decided to relaunch the Cremeblend blushes that came out with In Lillyland Collection, and discontinue Blushcremes. It doesn't affect me coz the Blushcreme shades I like will be converted to Cremeblend.

Mac Cremeblend Blush in So Sweet, So Easy is a bright yellow pink which looks very bubblegum-ey. It is quite sheer and needs to be layered for it to show. I reach for this only when I'm feeling 'pink', but don't want very rosy cheeks. I'd say it is a warmer-toned & cream version of MAC Pink Swoon Powder Blush

Here my Top 6 Lakme Enrich Satin Lip Colors that I think would suit Indian skin tones- light, medium, dark. Most of them were part of the Gypsy Collection that came out last fall-winter, except for one shade, which was launched with the first batch.

*I didn't bash up the poor lippies. They were squished/dented like that when they reached me.

The Carrie Diaries + F21 Earrings = Fabulous Things Under 500 Bucks

Last year I reached a point where I didn't feel happy after a shopping trip unless I've spent over 8-10k. I know, it's terrible. I felt terrible. It's not about the money, but the amount of things I had to buy to feel satisfied. The more I bought, the merrier I was. That has to change this year, I thought.

I've just read half the book (so if you've finished it, NO SPOILERS, please :) ), and I can't put it down. It's hilarious! Carrie's dad is a hoot. I plan on finishing it tonight.

It looks like a body lotion and it's baby pink in color (1st pic)

Vaseline Lip Care Rosy Glow (Strawberry Frost) & Healthy White (Fresh Vanilla) Swatches

Newest lip care products in my stash- Vaseline Lip Care in Rosy Glow & Healthy White.

Vaseline Lip Care Rosy Glow (Strawberry Frost) is strawberry flavored and glossy like a lip gloss. It gives lips a soft pink tint. It has a mild cooling/menthol feel, hence the 'frost' to it's name, I guess. I thought it was going to plump up my lips too, but no.

Vaseline Lip Care Healthy White Lip (Fresh Vanilla) is a clear jelly-like balm that protects lips from UV & darkening. I like the pink tube. I can hardly smell the vanilla in it, but it is definitely not fragrance-free.

Both claim to give 24 hour+ moisturized lips.

Colorbar Nail Treatment ~ My Nails But Better

If you don't have time to buff your nails, you could do with a product that will give you the same results in 2 minutes. For me, it is Colorbar Nail Treatment. 

Colorbar Nail Treatment can be used alone or as a nail polish base. I have only used it alone. I apply 2 coats and my nails look so much better, as if they are laminated. I really like the consistency of this product because it is neither runny nor thick. It is just right to apply evenly without any streaks. Hmm...I should use it as a base too.

Bright Rimmel Lipsticks ~ Swatches

Bright lips will definitely be a trend in the spring, so I picked out 3 of the brightest lipsticks I have that aren't red or hot pink. They are by Rimmel- Moisture Renew & Colour Show Off.

Moisture Renew lipsticks have a lustrous moisturizing finish, whereas Colour Show Off lipsticks have a matte/velvet finish and are highly pigmented. I like both finishes. I think Rimmel Lipsticks are worth a try if you are a lipstick gal.
