Winged Eyeshadow Tutorial

First of all, this is a very easy technique. I feel it's even easier to do than a basic smoky eye. Second, sowwwie I didn't post this during the weekend, like I said. I was just so busy with....well, nothing haha... you know what I mean ;)

Let's begin.

Products Used:
  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance
  • NYX Milk Jumbo Pencil
  • Inglot Pure Pigment #14
  • Bourjois Intense Eyeshadow #10
  • Lakme Kohl Ultimate
  • Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara
  • Brushes: QVS Angled brush (shown here), Sigma E30 Pencil Brush.
Prepping: I applied TFSI to prime lids, then NYX Milk as a base so the loose pigment will cling to the lids better.

  1. Apply shimmery eyeshadow on lower half of lids & inner tear duct corners.
  2. Draw black eyeshadow on outer half of lower lash line. This will be a guideline when you draw the wing on upper lash line.
  3. Now draw a line on upper lid straight towards eyebrow tail.
  4. Now make a curved line inwards. (I usually do step 4 & 5 in one quick motion.) It's up to you if you want to leave it curved or straight. I like it a little curved but here I must have absentmindedly straightened it while building the color.
  5. Bring line into your crease while looking straight, so the brush gets wedged in the crease line. I want the line to disappear into the crease. If you don't have hooded lids, like mine, this step would be a cakewalk.
  6. That is how it should look like. See that little bald spot? We need to fill that in.
  7. Fill in & darken outer V with the angled brush.
  8. Use a pencil brush to softly blend the black inwards.
  9. Blend crease as well. Lighter strokes as you blend towards the inner corner.
  10. Run a Q-tip outside the edges to clean any smudges.
  11. Do the same on the sides.
  12. With angled brush, sharpen the edges if needed.
  13. Tightline upper lash line with black kohl pencil.
  14. Line waterline as well.
  15. Finish off with black mascara. I wanted my lashes mimic the winged eyeshadow, so I applied mascara sideways.
DONE!

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one. I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3

Thank you for reading! :)
