Lakme Lip Love Lipstick ~ Love Haze Photos, Review & Swatches

Lakme Lip Love Lipsticks are a rage these days! After seeing the red packaging with the heart and all, I think they should have launched them around Valentine's Day. Not that I'm complaining. I mean, the sooner, the better, right?

But if any boys are reading this, these lipsticks are great gifts for women on Valentine's Day. You're welcome! :)

Look at the 'LOVE' that's carved on that tube! Hats off to the Creative Director, or whoever designed it. I ♥ it!

I got Love Haze- a warm nude shade. I was confused between this and Rose Kissed, which is a rosy pink shade, but eventually picked Love Haze. I thought I oughta give myself a medal (or rather, a tiara) for resisting pink for once =)

Lakme Lip Love Lipstick ~ Love Haze

Even the lipstick has LOVE all around. Who's thinking about 'Wet Wet Wet' right about now?

Swatches & Review:
*That pic of me is only for swatch's sake. I didn't even comb my hair, so let's not be mean  =D

Shade ~ As you can see, it has more of a peach undertone, so it's more warm than cool. If my skin tone wasn't cool, it would be one of the best nude lipsticks I've tried so far. Although I still like it, a little bit of warmth is always nice :). I think that if you have a darker & warmer skin tone than mine, it would look perfect and maybe mlbb (my lips but better) for some.

Finish ~ I like the lipstick finish. It's different from the Lakme Enrich Satin Lipsticks. It feels like a lip balm and doesn't dry out my lips afterwards.

Fragrance ~ A very very mild fragrance of some oil (maybe mineral oil, like the Nyx Round Lipsticks, but not as bad and nauseating.)

The Bad ~ It doesn't stay for long. Even without eating or drinking, it starts to wear off in about 15-30 minutes. But it doesn't disappear completely, which is a good thing.I usually don't make a big whoop about staying power, coz I like to re-apply, otherwise I'll never use up my lipsticks before the expiry date.

Buy again? Nope. One is enough for me. But I'll accept if you want to gift me some more ;p

Price ~ Rs.550. The whole package is worth that much, I think.

My Rating ~ ♥♥♥♥4.5/5

Have you tried this yet? Love it or not?

♥ Cynthia Z ^.^

  6. i was confused between this and aphrodite blush. ended up getting aphrodite blush. it's quite dark on my lips, was expecting it to be milder. maybe this would have been a better choice! oh well. for once you didn't pick pink ;)

    1. That's ok :). MM has more peach undertones than this. This is more nude/fleshy, you can say.

  20. Hey Cynthia! Wonderful Review! I am surely gonna get this shade after I run out of my Revlon Rosy Nude!
Wanted to ask, how to make the lipstick shade seem more "True to its color" on the lips. My natural lip tint always sneak out of the lipstick! I tried using foundation (Maybelline Dream Mousse)and then a powder, it just glided off my lips as I applied the lipstick! Please suggest something! :)

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one. I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3

Thank you for reading! :)
