Marc Jacobs Dot Perfume Photos & Review

If you follow my Facebook Page, you'd know this is the last product I got from New Delhi. From Terminal 3 IGI Airport. Before that, I felt sick & dizzy in Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. I don't know if it was the overly milky latte or the moving-away feelings. A few minutes later, I captured this ladybug and felt robust again. They don't call it 'Retail Therapy' for nothing, I tell ya.
Ok, DOT. Oh my bows! It's so cute! No, cute is an understatement. I want to cry every time I look at it. Seriously. A line from a song I love- 'Click Click Click'  by *clears throat* New Kids On The Block goes: "Damn you look so good it hurts me." Now I totally understand what that means.
See if you understand what I mean....
[*If you spot my reflection anywhere in these pics, I had my hair tied back & a face mask on. Good thing nobody saw me.]
Notes: The exuberant top captivates with a delectable blend of red berries, succulent dragonfruit, and sweet honeysuckle. The lush floral heart of the fragrance blooms with the addictive beautiful jasmine, mingled with energizing notes of coconut water and orange blossom. The scent rounds out with a feminine dry down of creamy vanilla, driftwood, and sensual musks.

Box & sleeve

As always, I can't put a poem in a perfume review. So we'll keep it simple. It smells fruity + floral, but more fruity. It'll strike you as a strong formal scent at first, but after a few minutes, it settles into a fresher jasmine-vanilla scent that convinced me that it's still an everyday-wearable fragrance. I've gotten "You smell nice" from the man more than thrice ever since I started wearing it, so no problemo with the male species.
To be completely honest, when the bottle is that bewitching, I really don't care how it smells- unless it's really awful.
Marc Jacobs Dot 'Vs' Marc Jacobs Daisy (shown here):
Bottle: Dot wins. Because it's a little more quirky. If Daisy is prêt-à-porter, Dot is haute couture.
Fragrance: Daisy wins. Because it smells more fresh & floral, more casual & easily likable- if that makes sense.
I couldn't pick between them. Please don't make me!
By the way, there's a Jane Norman dress that matches this bottle to a T:
I'm impatiently waiting for it to go on sale. I want to hurt some more.

Price ~ $75 = Rs.4011  for 50ml  |  US- $69 = Rs.3690   |  UK- £41.99 = Rs.3595 (Yes, I should have waited.)
My Rating ~ ♥♥♥♥♥ 5/5 [Of course! =D]
Availability: In India, it's available only in IG International airport- Terminal 3. I used to think that I should make friends with people who work there, coz the Duty-Free cosmetics stores have almost everything we don't get in the markets there! Now that's friendship with benefits.
Since ladybugs mean good luck, I guess we can make a wish....right? Oh, we'll do it anyways!
After you.....

  10. They say virtue is greater than beauty but in this case beauty wins hands down; I wouldn't mind even if it didn't smell good cause it clearly is a collector's item. I would like to have some "friends with benefits" too!

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one. I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3

Thank you for reading! :)
