Here are swatches & mini reviews of the Sleek Avoir la Peche Collection + LOTD of moi in a darker skin tone.
Paraguaya i-divine palette ~ The colors are all pigmented, smooth and buttery. The least pigmented of them all is Bittersweet -second last , bottom row, grey shade. It works fine if you want to use it to blend a darker color, though. Hmm...Bittersweet. How apt.
Pan Tao Blush ~ I LOVE it! It's so beautiful. I needed a blush that's brighter than MAC Peaches Blush and this is perfect. I will definitely buy more Sleek Blushes.
Here's a LOTD of me in a darker skin tone. I get a lot of emails and comments in which readers ask me what type of makeup shades to pick for darker skin tones & if a particular product I review would suit their darker skin tones, so I thought this might be a good way to give them an idea. I'm just easing you in right now, so I went only 2 or 3 shades darker (which looked darker off camera, btw.) I had to use flash to bring out the darker skin tone, so my face looks shiny. Also the light went off many times during, so a bit sweaty too =D
Face ~ Kryolan Supracolor and a mixture of different powders.
Do let me know if you want me to do darker skin tones every now & then. Do you think it'll be helpful to you?
P.S: Will announce the Giveaway of the other set of Sleek Avoir la Peche Collection I got soon, so stay tuned.

Bellini, Redstone, Persimmon, Tangelo, Bittersweet, Stone |
Pan Tao Swatch
Sugar May Pout Polish ~ The first time I tried this, I thought it smelled very sweet, almost nauseatingly sweet, like when you put your nose on the tip of a bottle of Vanilla Essence. I also tasted some mild bitterness- the type you get after swallowing a Paracetamol tablet. How can something that smells so sweet taste bitter?! I wonder. Hey. there's that word Bittersweet again! How weird. As for the shade, you have to layer it for the color too show. I like the high-shine & glossy look, but I don't think I'm repurchasing another Pout Polish.
Sugar May Swatch
Cheeks ~ Pan Tao Blush
Lips ~Sugar May Pout Polish
Eyes ~ Paraguaya palette- mixture of colors. Gel Liner to tightline, Stone to line upper and lower lashline, Bourjois Volumizer Mascara.
Eye 1: MAC Chromagraphic Pencil on my waterline, Eye 2: Black kajal

Do you see the different colored shoulder? I was lazy ;p |
I must say, I like it! My eyes & teeth look whiter! :). Maybe next time, I'll go 5-6 shades darker. I have a chocolate brown base, which I almost used for this, but I reckon it's best to take baby steps.

Wow..i never thought peach and its shades would show up and look good on indian skintones without looking ghostly. I avoid peach except in a blush then too usually camouflage it. You have done a great job with the color peach !
ReplyDeleteThanks all for your wonderful comments!
