Been using the Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-ageing Serum for a while now and it's time for the final verdict
My skin type ~ Combination/Oily.
Pros:
Now,I use only 2 pumps of it once or twice a day.
Would I buy it again? Maybe laaa..ter on. I wouldn't visit one country 2 times in a row, so I feel the same about anti-ageing products =)
My skin type ~ Combination/Oily.
Pros:
- Smells great! (It smells like the Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-ageing Cream)
- Moisturizes my skin enough so I don't need to use another moisturizer on top of it.
- Acts as a makeup primer too
- Fills up my fine lines
- Not greasy/oily
- Minimizes my pores (but not totally)
- Makes my skin feel soft and supple
- Caused some breakouts when I used more than 3 pumps **
- Umm...I think that's it.
- No, wait. It is overpriced in my humble opinion. Rs.700 for 50 ml. I think for that price they should have at least made the packaging prettier.

ooh! sounds cool!
ReplyDeleteolay products are quite over priced, but i like the brand.
x
Interesting how using more caused you some breakouts. At least the pros outweigh the cons :)
ReplyDeleteHAHA love the last line. I guess that's why I don't buy so many products twice in a row, unless its just too fundamental.
ReplyDeleteI purchased the crem for my mother-in-law and she liked it!But the serum I havent theanks for sharring!!!
ReplyDeletehehe same here! I love trying new products :)Great review hun! May be it is a bit too rich for your skin hun. I had this problem with a moisturizer.
ReplyDeletenice review, i have yet tried olay products but heard they work well, too bad for the break outs!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they made a serum :O maybe I can convince my mom to try it :D
ReplyDeleteFinally I can see your blog.. Kept trying all day but just cld not see anything.. I loved the last line, even I flit from prdt to prdt. :D.
ReplyDeleteThks for the review. :D Haven't tried anything from Olay yet, I have the ponds age miracle serum instead :D
seems like it would be too heavy for my oily/combi skin :(
ReplyDeletewhat is the good age to start anti aging cream?
ReplyDelete@deepa~ I think u can start using them when u've crossed 21, especially people with dry skin.

Haha I loved the last line, the same goes for me too! lol. I agree with the packaging past but who cares if the product smells good and works well! xoxo
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I love that analogy about visiting a country twice in a row. :D The market is so saturated with anti-ageing products, so we are indeed spoilt for choice. But, psst, why do you need an anti-ageing serum anyway??! You're way too young for that! :D
ReplyDelete@Witoxicity~ Nah...In fact I really do ;) Prevention is better than cure, right? hehe

Silent reader ahoy! decided to post here after a long while of just reading :)
ReplyDeleteIve been using this serum for a while and though I dont have anything to compare it to, I feel it has some ingredients that are alcohol group based, which lead to a cooling sensation after application, but it left my skin feeling dry too.
P.S. I agree with everything you said cynthia, and it is over-priced for 50 ml.
I have a query. A few actually!
ReplyDeleteI am 20, and have slightly sensitive skin. Going for the Olay 7-in-1 range for the 1st time. My skin is irritated by all the night creams I have tried so far. Lacto calamine works for me though.
I was wondering if I can use Lactocalamine over the Olay 7-in-1 serum at night. Or do you suggest the Serum or Lactocalamine individually for skin repair at night? I don't like Lactocalamine during day time. It makes me sweaty. I use sunscreen only (no moisturiser) for day. Or simply serum.
I searched for my query on the net, but found no such articles. I hope you could help.
Thank you.
