11 Weeks Baby Bump | New Vanity Room Preview

Well, I'm not sure if it's 11 weeks or more, coz they'll confirm the exact due date during my next ultrasound. You know, I don't even have a permanent Ob-Gyn right now, because I'm staying in Delhi, but I'll be moving to Gurgaon, so I'll have to find one in Gurgaon. Up until now, I've seen two temporary Ob-Gyns in Apollo Hospital - one lazy (and she burped loudly while talking to me!), one nice. I have to say, I don't like that hospital, it's so crowded - like a train station!
A big THANK YOU to the lovely ladies who told me about BabyCentre app in this post. I wouldn't have known about it otherwise. Now I read it daily & it was the one that told me to take a belly photo some weeks ago =D
It may not look like much of a bump, but I'm finding all my pants uncomfortable & I unbutton these jeans most of the time. I'm going to order a few of those maternity jeans soon.

Will show you my vanity table when it's set up. There's a protective plastic thingy on the mirror right now, hence those marks.

Makeup I took in my bag. I'm carrying less stuff & only the things I need these days =D

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder with H&M Mini Kabuki
Lakmé Kohl Ultimate
Bourjois Effet Smoky Pencil Smoked Brown
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil
MAC Flat Out Fabulous Lipstick
Maybelline Baby Lips Mango Pie
Inglot Oil Blotting Sheets
Hello Kitty Tissues that Mr.CZ got for me in Scotland =)
Tangle Teezer
Heart-shaped handbag mirror
Fox's candies ~ I told you! ;p

Just a pic to test the lighting in the room. Bourjois Rouge Edition #11

I took some pics of my new vanity room. It's still very incomplete right now, so I'll put up proper pictures once I'm kind of done with it. Please ignore the dusty floor. There's still people coming for wiring and what-not, so the final cleaning will be done a few days before we move in.

What I want: Contemporary-meets-Vintage. I want it to look like a walk-in closet when I've filled it up.

Color Theme: White & Pastels.

 Things I haven't found yet:
Chaise Longue ~ #1 on the list. I've yet to see one that's not wooden here in Delhi. I'd love a floral one. I may have to get a plain one & then get a cover made.
Dressing table stool
Chest of drawers
Floor lamp
Ottoman
Wall Frames ~ I don't know what kind I want exactly.
Curtains ~ I was confused last time we went curtain shopping. I almost got a black & white vintage-Parisian newspaper print design, but now I'll probably go with sheer whites - preferably with frills. See the silver curtain rod? After we bought this, I saw some with crystals on each end in another shop, and I so wish I'd seen those first! =\ {I'll see if I can put only the crystal ends without having to change the whole rod.}

The reading corner will either be in this space or in the opposite side, depending on the size of the chaise I find.

♥

That's all for today. Will post AFTER pics when I'm done arranging most of the stuff. We move in after next week. I'm hoping to go hit all the furniture stores on Mehrauli road then. As we were driving past them the other day, a couple of shops were calling out to me ~ "Oye! Over here! Ooh....look, we gots white shtuff & quilted headboards! Oye!!!"

Happy Weekend, everyone!

Tonight, I'm gonna catch up on HIMYM & new ep of Grey's

  1. Hi,
Loved the pics! I'm not sure if you are looking for more Ob-GYN alternatives. if you are, Dr. Meenakshi Sauhta in Max Gurgaon is good (she also sees people in her own clinic - Krsna Clinic)
Hope you settle into the new place soon, All the best :)

  5. *drooool*... major crush on that room; white, reading nook, big window, and what not. I would buy some sheer white curtains with frills too! And I have this uncontrollable urge to arrange that island 'table' perpendicular to the window. It's.like.nagging.me!!!

  9. hey Cynthia, I've been following your blog since last 2 years and i just love all your posts. I'm so happy that you are moving to Gurgaon since i also reside here. Congrats on the new phase of life, the most beautiful phase : pregnancy. Enjoy it most as it is truly a time to b pampered by ur hubby and its like a honeymoon phase till the naughty bundle of joy comes in. I m telling you all this coz I've just become a new mother of a beautiful girl named Kaashvi (3 months old). I was following a doctor in MAX gurgaon called Dr Sonia Naik. She is very good in handling any kind of complications and does'nt scare you much like some gynaes do.

  12. Hey CZ love the room!! One suggestion dont waste money on maternity wear right away (esp the bottom wear) till 5th month one can easily fit into the regular bottom wear by using something known as belly band. Its easily available online. This is with experience coz I am currently in my 7th month and its now that I bought maternity jeans from mothercare n asos. The pre-preggo size n the size during preg changes frequently. For example, I would slip into a 28-waist (UK 8-10) jeans easily but currently I'm wearing UK size 16 in maternity jeans coz they have some room to last me till the end n r most comfy.

  13. Hey..This is my 1st posting here. .congrats on ur pregnancy. It's a beautiful experience. .enjoy it. I have twins. .A boy and a girl...i was expecting to get huge...but the only place i put on weight was my stomach. So i would advise you to get a belly band. .and use them with your jeans and pants. I didn't really buy any maternity clothes. Got flowy tops and wore them with tights. They were super comfy!!

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one. I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3

Thank you for reading! :)
