Newly Discovered Beauty Products - Part 2

While I finish a make-up tutorial, take a look at some of the beauty products I recently stumbled upon. Most of them I'm going to try out sooner or later......

Zoya Nail Lacquer 'Cynthia' ~ Yes, you read correctly. There's a Zoya nail polish named 'Cynthia'! And it's a deep blue - my decided fall nail color! A few weeks ago, Magali tagged me on a picture of this nail polish on Zoya's Instagram page (Thanks Magali!) Price: Around Rs.1000-1100 in the UK. I don't even want to spend Rs.300 on a nail polish, so you can imagine how torn I feel about it- buy, don't buy? Couldn't I just write my name on my nails? NO! It's not the same!

MSM Cream ~ As I was doing my usual googling of acne and skin problems, I stumbled on a post that opened my eyes wide here. The writer raved about a certain MSM Cream that minimized her acne scars. MSM cream is made with Sulphur, and  is used to treat acne. Some have even called it a 'Miracle Cream'. I am ordering mine soon. Just wanted to know if any of you tried it. Price: Around Rs.1350 on Amazon UK, but it's only around Rs.500 on Ebay.
Sleep-In Rollers ~ Wear them while you sleep, wake up with bouncy hair! Price: Depends on the brand. You can get them as inexpensive as Rs.400 or as pricey as Rs.2400.

Hydraluron Moisture Booster ~ I've known about this for months now, and have resisted buying many many times. My friend mentioned it in a phone conversation, and told me I have to try it. I did some digging online and found out it's very popular, especially in the UK. It contains the world's purest grade of Hyaluronic Acid, which increase moisture levels within the skin to increase skin elasticity and reduce surface roughness. Must be great for dry skin, I reckon. Mr.CZ's extremely dry skin might greatly benefit from it. Don't know how it'll perform on my oily/combination skin, but I hope it'll at least prevent wrinkles and fine lines. Price: Rs.2500. Sample size is also available, so I might try that first.

Mizon All-In-One Snail Repair Cream ~ I discovered this months ago when the seller I got my kawaii products from had it in her store on Ebay. The cream has snail secretion filtrate (???), that is known to better damaged skin, prevent wrinkles & reduce scars. It must be popular in Korea. I almost bought one. Almost. Before the ick factor crept in. I'm very adventurous when it comes to beauty products, but this I'm unsure of. What do you think? Price: Around Rs.1000 on Ebay. Range includes serum, eye cream, BB Cream, etc.

Braun Silk Epil 7 SkinSpa ~ Not really "newly discovered", but I'm now ready to take the plunge and get myself an epilator! Yes, I am. Price: This one cost Rs.17,000 in the UK. Phew! But I think there are some slightly less pricey versions among the Silk Epil 7 series.

That's all I can think of right now. Which ones would you personally love to try?

  3. Cynthia, hydraluron is pure miracle stuff, reviewed it on my blog here http://sushylovesblush.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/hydraluron-miracle-in-tube-review.html

I have the braun silk epil... first time it hurts like a mother, but only the first time. From the second time on the pain is nowhere to be found! It is pretty awesome, I have had mine for 2 years now and have not spent a penny on other hair removal products, so its more like an investment!

  6. Actually, Cynthia is more of a blackened teal color. And Zoya is one of those 'higher end' nail polish brands...in general I dislike spending that much for a polish but Zoya is definitely worth it. The formula is very good and it lasts forever. Also if the price tag is too much, just pay attention to their site/FB....they do sales ever so often where you can snatch it up for half price or more.

  8. Out of your list, I own the sleep-in rollers and the Braun Silk Epil 7. While the rollers are overrated -- too uncomfortable to sleep in.. the braun epilator is FANTASTIC!!! I did not buy it, and was not aware of the price, but I totallly love it!

  9. Thanks for the mention, Cynthia! I'm so glad you liked the idea of a nail polish! I can hardly spend too much money on lipsticks but recently I've gone completely nail polish crazy. Have a collection of 7 Zoyas & I'm hoping to place another order soon ;)
I'm in to natural beauty products & I really like that Zoya is 5 free (free of 5 major harmful chemicals in nail polish). And the staying power, finish is unbeatable. I want to throw out all of my Maybelline polishes because they are just crap in front of this. But here in India, it's not too expensive just 450 each, but there are a very limited number of shades in the country. Gosh I sound like Zoya's ambassador but all I'm saying is if you get the chance you should try in. On amazon it's under $10 if you are making an order from there have a look.
The epillator sounds fancy! I have a Braun one, but it's very old & basic. Don't believe the ads though, it hurts SO much :(

    1. Wow! So many Zoya's you have! Glad to hear they're GOOD. Rs.450 is a major diff :\
You are kind of like their ambassador, coz I wouldn't have known about this nail polish had it not been for you hehehe :D

Gosh, now I'm so scared of epilators :O I hope I'll get one that won't make me regret buying it!

  10. I have been a daily reader/visitor of the IVC for nearly three years now. Ambled in looking for a dupe for Nars Orgasm and was hooked.
Ok, I have the Mizon Snail Gel Cream, in fact I blogged about it couple of days ago. It is good. And don't worry about the ick factor, the gel cream is 73% snail filtrate and it is a filtrate...so, kind of takes away the ick...and in any case, there are many icks in cosmetics...lanolin, squalene. The gel cream is actually good. I use it for blemishes and it does work and speed up the healing process.
About Zoya, I have a niece named that, I am not a nail person, but I will get one polish just in honor. so, if you ask me, you HAVE to get a polish named after you! keep spreading the cheers!

  11. have you ever thought of making a DIY serum with Vit C powder+MSM powder? It's amazeballs. That with Tretinoin(This is the bomb) at night and you don't need any other skin brightening/anti aging product."trust me i'm a doctor".lol. Fads come and go but the key to antiaging is Vit C,Tretinoin(the strongest retinoid),AHA/BHA and any basic moisturizer.

    1. Depends on the seller. I usually so with the ones with over 99% rating. I'd personally go with this- http://www.ebay.com/itm/MRM-MSM-Cream-4-oz-Lower-Price-/221195413670?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=520135989022&hash=item33804628a6
