Natural Ochre, Warm Golden

Natural Ochre 180

Warm Golden 320

Dipping your fingers to scoop out the product every time is obviously unhygienic. I use a little plastic spatula that came with the Pond's Gold Radiance Night Cream

Swatches: Natural Ochre, Warm Golden

Blended: Natural Ochre, Warm Golden

Warm Golden is the closest shade to my skin tone, but I like to use Natural Ochre only under my eyes and any areas that need brightening.
Let's get to what's  important.....

 The Good:
  • The texture is amazing! It's rich & light at the same time. It smooths out fine lines, fills up big pores, and makes my skin look plump & healthy. If you have pigmentation/acne scars/wrinkles, this is definitely worth a try.
  • It's light to heavy coverage. It depends on how much you use.
  • Finish is between matte & dewy, but closer to matte. Doesn't really need powder on top, unless maybe if it's too hot/humid..
  • You get a lot of product in one pot. You only need very little every time, so it's gonna last. That's why the price tag is not bad.
  • The thick consistency makes it a great under eye concealer too.
  • Has SPF 20.
  • It is oil free & fragrance free.
  • On me, it lasted for at least 15 hours without looking greasy or worn-out.
  • Drugstore product, high end packaging.*

The Bad:
  • *Packaging. The glass jar is quite heavy. Definitely not travel-friendly + it gets messy when removing the the white cover. I do prefer whipped stuff in jars, but they are inconvenient.
  • Because it's thick, it could clog pores and cause pimples for skin types that are prone to breakouts, like mine. After the first 2-3 times I used it, I ended up with pimples on my forehead, corner of my nose & chin. I was afraid to use it again. After a few weeks, I started wearing it again, and after using it for 2 days continually, I only got a pimple on  my hairline near my temple (La Roche-Posay Effaclar products I'm using could be preventing the darn things from overtaking my face.) Fear of pimples is the reason I'm not putting up Before & After face swatches in this review. But I will wear it in a LOTD one day.
  • Although it has a silky texture, it can emphasize dry areas on your face. For me, it tends to look a little flaky on my forehead between my brows.

How To Use: Moisturize face well before using it so won't look cakey. I find that it blends better with fingers rather than a brush. I guess the warmth of fingers melts & spreads the thick consistency faster. You need very little product for your whole face- like, 2 small dots.

Is It For You? If you're looking for full coverage, this is by far the best I've ever tried. If you prefer liquid foundations & tinted moisturizers, you won't be mighty impressed with this.

  1. oh it broke u out? i was thinking i hav the most sensitive skin but this really did not break me out..

  2. Would love to try ! nice review as usual..

  3. the texture is really amazing...... I could eat it ..... !!! :D

  4. I absolutely love the texture of this foundation! It feels so light and mousse-like, and is such a pleasure to use. I love how its coverage is buildable as it makes it very versatile. The glass jar is such beautiful packaging too although I do agree that it can be messy and unhygienic, as well as being a pain to use! I agree that it can accentuate dry areas of the face, but a little moisturising and exfoliating will easily fix that problem. I love the finish of it too, it feels like my face is airbrushed!

  5. As the name suggests, it does look like a whipped cream :)

  6. Natural Ochre seems quite nice to me. I will definitely try this out, I SO need heavy coverage which feels light & is oil free. Thanks for this great review. <3

  7. It would be great for me, I am all ears for light makeup!

  8. I have been using this and I love it. And actually I have been using this regularly and it hasnt broken out my sensitive skin. :)

  9. I LOVE this foundation. I thought I would NEVER stray from my beloved Nars Sheer Glow but Revlon really stepped up their game.
    Great review

  10. I wish there's a better shade match for me in this... I've been seeing a lot of good reviews for this.

  11. I have really sensitive skin that breaks out easily... so I won't be using this, I assume. But it sort of reminds me of Etude House's 'Baby Choux Base', because both just look like cream! :) thanks for the review!

  12. I really want to try this.. I like full coverage but I also happen to have an acne prone skin.. :(

  13. it should have some more color range..

  14. hey which is the right shade please tell i am fair to medium with yellow ut and also tell if natural ochre loooks too light and unnatural.

  15. I hate this foundation! I bought this after reading raving reviews about it everywhere.... It breaks me out Everytime I wear it! Not tiny little Pimples, real big acne. The last time i wore it was 2 months back and it broke me out on my forehead, chin, corners of the nose. I'm still recovering from it. Ugh.

  16. Loved your review. I've always been a wuss when it comes to choosing a new foundation. And reading stuff like this reminds me why! It's so difficult to find the right one ugggh! One that'll suit your skin type, skin color, the coverage you want... Being pretty is painful!
However, if this can help, I found this website two days ago, I haven't had the chance to check it out yet but it will help you find the right foundation. Maybe it'll help you :).

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one. I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3

Thank you for reading! :)
