Favorites Oct '12: Magazine Freebies, Eye Shadows, Blush, Jane Norman, Etc.

How's your Saturday going? I woke up after 12 today coz I slept at 4 am in the morning obsessing over some things. Nah, not that. The man was long gone hehe....
Let's talk freebies first!
Instyle: 4.0ml Benefit Benetint. Now this is a sample! This should last me a long long time. Also available to 'collect' are Cha Cha Tint & Sun Beam . (Posted last month's freebies here)
Marie Claire: 30ml L'Occitane Rose Petals Hand Cream (4 types to choose from!) & 50ml Dove Colour Radiance Express Treatment Conditioner. The conditioner smells incredible! Divine! And that hand cream is my very first L'Occitane product...love the not-so-sickening rose scent.
Yup, I almost fainted seeing the Marie Claire freebies.
Vaseline Pink Bubbly Lip Therapy: You know I adore them & you also have a chance to WIN one here. Yes, I have one extra.....hmm.....we'll see! ;)
Carmex Lip Balm: This is the stuff, people! After a few visits to my dentist, my lips were all cracked, the corners split. Eating spicy foods was a torture! Only- I repeat, only- this healed my lips completely...overnight.
Dirty Works Blemish Buster 2-in-1 Scrub + Mask: OMG this makes my skin feel really clean & smooth like porcelain (well, kinda =)). It has Kaolin, which is great for acne-prone skin. It lathers too when mixed with water, which I think is awesome coz you can wash it off so easily. Dirty works, baby!
Sleek Flamingo Blush: Oh-so-pretty! THE pink blush to own, especially if you have a deeper skin tone.
*I put the MAC Lipstick in there only for size comparison.
Eye Shadows- I'm wearing these 2 eyeshadows a lot recently:
Inglot 342- This is so versatile. I use it to contour and for my brows too. Swatch here
Inglot 30- I love using this to highlight the inner corners/tear ducts. It looks so gorgeous! Swatches here

Maybelline Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner ~  It has an ultra thin 0.4mm tip. Almost the same as Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner I used to love & showed here. I'm so glad I found a replacement.

♥ Jane Norman ♥
I LOVE Jane Norman....and Norman! Who's Norman, you ask? My cute granddaddy! His name ( iswas Norman. [Scott. Norman Scott] Extra reason why I love this brand so much. Since I came to Newcastle, I have purchased about 5 items from the brand. My absolute favorite is this dress...oh my bows, this dress! I saw it was on Sale in the website the same evening I'd just got the MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection. It's a steal, and I had to grab it! Especially since I see UK 6 sizes sell out very fast. It didn't stay in the website (or any site that carries Jane Norman) for long. Oh, thank goodness! Price: £45 £15 (Rs.1273) + £3 something for delivery (It wasn't available in stores)
Instagram photo below:
It looks better in real life. I have to look at it when I wake up & before I go to bed at night every.single.day.
That's all for now peeps. Now going to have lunch, then do a quick eye make-up tutorial.... then hopefully find a good horror movie to watch later. Dying to watch Sinister & The House At The End Of The Street! Recently watched The Possession at a theater...very nice.
What are you loving these days?

  5. I had one of those Benetint minis and it literally lasted me for over a year, with relatively regular usage. It's such a great and handy little product! And I LOVE those tinned Vaselines, that must be a very British thing because I don't recall ever seeing them in the US. And that Sleek blush is beautiful - I hear they're great, especially for the price!

    2. hi! I'm in Singapore and I order sleek off their website (a couple of times already) - they have a flat international shipping rate; I usually combine orders with my friends (but no more of 4 pieces per colour - so max 4 blush in Flamingo, max 4 blush in Rose Gold, etc). The Rose gold blush is amazing; so is the Bad Girl Eyeshadow palette .. and the Sunset eyeshadow palette :)

    3. Hi Kas, I have ordered from Sleek before, and the shipping cost was quite high. Great idea to combine orders with yr friends! :)

    2. Its very simple, so simple that you tend to get sceptical. So the recipe is : Crush a few rose petals and make a fine paste with milk powder and apply on your face. Thats it.

    3. Ook...sounds delish! Might try it once....when I get my hands on the petals :D Thanks!

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one. I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3

Thank you for reading! :)
