Kareena Kapoor's Eye Makeup Tutorial

I showed you a preview of Kareena Kapoor's Eye Makeup here, and today I will be showing you how I did it. It is very very easy, no kidding. Products used are also not a lot:
  • Plummy brown eyeshadow
  • Black Eyeshadow
  • Black kohl pencil (Lakme Kohl Ultimate)
  • Eyelash Curler
  • Black Mascara (Bourjois Fast & Perfect Mascara)
  • Brushes: Fluffy blending brush, angled liner brush, pencil brush.

I used only these 2 eyeshadows from Naked 2 Palette. Busted on lids & used to smudge. Blackout to line.

Let's Begin:
[Please excuse the jaundice lighting of #5 >.<]

STEP 1: Apply plummy brown eyeshadow upto the crease line with a fluffy blending brush & blend out the edges.

STEP 2: Apply The same eyeshadow on your lower lash line as well.

STEP 3: With an angled eyeliner brush, apply a black matte eyeshadow on your upper & lower lash lines (till the tear ducts). On the upper lash line, make it thicker at the outer part of the eye. It doesn't need to be precise, it's only a guideline for smudging later.

STEP 4: Apply a black kohl pencil on your water line & tightline upper lash line. Join them at the tear ducts. On the upper lash line, also line outside but still very close to the lashes- apply in dots if you're nervous. It's ok if it's not neat, you're going to smudge the line out anyway.

STEP 5: Now comes the most crucial part of this look- smudging. Use a stiff pencil brush with some of the same eyeshadow you used in Step 1 & Step 2. Smudge the lower lash line first...at the out corners, take it up so that it'll meet with the upper liner.

STEP 6: Smudge the upper lash line the same way. You can use more of the same plummy brown eyeshadow here to make it a little more intense. Make the lines meet at the outer corners in a triangle as shown.

*While doing Step 5 & 6, pick up the plummy brown & black eyeshadows together with the pencil brush to blend the smudges- this is if you want it darker.

STEP 7: It should like that after smudging. I lifted my droopy lid so you can see it better. If you have a defined crease like that, the look wouldn't be hard to achieve at all.

STEP 8: Curl lashes & apply black mascara on top and bottom lashes. IMP: Re-apply the black kohl on waterline & inner lash line- esp if you've erased them while smudging.

STEP 9: That's the finished look.

DONE! Easy, right?

Btw, the look I took inspiration from is not the one in 1st pic, it's the one below:

*If you want the look Kareena has in the 1st pic above, you can follow this same tut, but use a black gel liner on top & bottom lashes, instead of a kohl pencil. Oh, and wear false lashes.

Hope you found some tips from this tut. I'm feeling really drowsy right now from my flu meds, so if something is not making sense..... :)

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one. I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3

Thank you for reading! :)
