ASOS Review & Haul

So I shopped from asos.com for the first time this month. I didn't want to buy anything expensive since it was my first time, so I decided to buy tights- inexpensive, but much-needed for this winter. They are so cute & in tip-top condition, and I can't wait to wear them!

  • ASOS Heart Suspender Sheer Tights, 8 GBP (Rs.650) ~ These are so hot! I have a thing for garters, so I couldn't be happier when these came into fashion. They're Free Size- a tad loose around my feet/toes, but fit perfectly on the rest of my legs.
  • Gipsy Mock Ribbed Over The Knee Tights6 GBP (Rs.487) but they're now 8 GBP ~ These are more conservative than the heart suspender ones up there....or not, it depends on how you wear them really. But I love the ribbed fabric, it clings better than the heart suspender tights & it's warmer too.
Quick pics of me trying both of them on....

Over the Knee & Heart Suspender

They were packed in a thick metallic grey polythene packet.

Ordered ~ 20th Nov '11

Order despatched ~ 22nd Nov '11

Shipping ~ Standard Delivery (Free)

Delivered ~ 28th Nov, '11

Payment ~ Via Paypal. They also accept Visa, Mastercard etc.

I am super happy with my first order from asos.com and will surely stalk the website now ;)

*You may have to pay customs duty for orders over 40 GBP (Man's words, not mine fyi. You really think I'd think like that?), so it's better to split up your orders if you want to avoid that. But if  it's one thing that costs that much or more, then.....risk it and do let me know how it goes ;)

Which tights do you like more?

  2. Delivery within 6 days is fab ! Ya customs is very variable..there is no fixed amount thats what I experienced..sometimes they charge n sometimes they don't..depends on luck if they catch ur packet..

  3. No you don't have to pay customs duty charge if you are buying anything under Rs.10000. I bought some clothes and accessories from Asos in October of GBP 108, it was a purchase of Rs.8100 that time, and it was a great experience for me. The only problem was the packaging. Its not because of Asos but because of Royalmail packaging.I had got some Lush goodies sent by my brother by Royalmail the quality of the box is definately not the best. I too had got a pair of tights and they are so adorable with all those hearts all over them. Don't worry Cynthia purchase anything from their website within Rs.10000 it is going to arrive at house without any hassle. Takecare, Byeee.

    1. hello....I have placed over 10 orders from asos (5 just last nite...good deals with the sales rite now lol)...and just recd my first order. The value was definitely less than Rs 10000 / ...In fact a mere 1100Rs and I got hit with Rs 30 in "customs duties" and another Rs 195 in "postage charges" (thats what it says on the customs duties form)...Postage was supposed to be free....So in all I paid another 20% in customs duties whereas if you do a net search, it says upto Rs 2000 is custom duty free with Rs 10000 duty free if you declare it a gift. I've written for clarification on what is duty free etc to the customs email id and never get a reply...so frustrating ...even after breaking up an order into tiny pieces you still may get customs dties. :(

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one. I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3

Thank you for reading! :)
