A smudge resistant kajal. Finally! This is a special product because it was created exclusively for the Indian market by Maybelline India. I assume it's not available in any other country. Yippee! I'm sorry, but considering the number of makeup brands & products we don't get over here, we deserve it.
Claims:
Our deepest black pigments + unique tip deliver the blackest black shine ever. Color glides on smooth and so intense. Formula enriched with Vitamin E soothes the eyes. Never before 6H of smudge resistant wear. Our exclusive color fix formula guarantees intense color results that won't smudge, budge or fade. No more touchups.
The total length of the kajal is 1 1/2"

Likes:
♥ Smudge resistant & Water resistant
♥ This is one kajal you can line your upper lash line with.
♥ SO inexpensive!
♥ Very BLACK!
♥ Doesn't sting/irritate my eyes.
♥ Compared to kajals in pencil form, this is so much easier to use- coz the tip is thin. If you have small eyes, you won't need to tug at your eyes and won't blink so much when tightlining
Dislikes:
Nothing, personally. But some might find it difficult to take off. I use cleansing oil to remove it, so it's not an issue for me. The price you pay for smudge resistant :)
I'd say this is the next best thing to a gel liner pencil, except it's not as soft.
Price ~ Rs.150

Disclosure: Product gifted by brand. All opinions are my own, as always.
Is it available in other colors too? Because I only use brown liners.
ReplyDeleteMercedes- No, only black atm.

Great review Cynthia <3
ReplyDeleteHey…Thanks a ton for the review!
ReplyDeleteThis looks interesting. I love using Kohl/Kajal, but it always smudges and I have to do touch ups.
This looks awesome specially for humid weather.
Btw, can you do make thin lines with this (as against pencil liners)?
Cheers,
Prachi
Wow, that's great. I wish it will available soon in my place :)

I am yet to try this. Your review is now tempting me to get one
ReplyDeleteSuch mixed reviews for this pencil.. It sounds like an economical buy :)
ReplyDeleteI bought this a while back too. My friends were talking how awesome this kajal is that they all pounced on me saying "you gotta try this!" so i did lol. Not bad. Not expensive. Pretty good kajal.
ReplyDeleteI loveee this kajal pencil! Use it daily for office! But it does faint when applied directly on the waterline, faster than 6H :( Best stayin power is wen it's on the lower lashline!
ReplyDeleteI really liked your review...!
Deletewhoops typo...go fade* hehe :P
ReplyDeleteomg terrible again..fade* and this is where I stop *embarrassed* :( :D
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna have someone pick this up {parents may go to India soon} You also have LAKME, which is a great drugstore brand. You always forget that. We have mostly crappy drugstore brands here.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about buying it but then bought a gel liner instead. I love the gel liner but its such a pain cleaning the brush everyday when i'm in such a hurry :(
ReplyDeleteBTW which cleansing oil do you use??
no..it smudges on me..though less than other kajals bt it does..n stays jus for 3-4 hrs max ! :(
ReplyDeleteMy sis loves it !! she is already on her second pencil !!!
ReplyDeletegr8 review.
its cute to know that u have measured the length of the kohl !!
cool !!!
my waterline is too sensitive .
i just want to know whether it gives a burning/cooling sensation on eyes. bcoz I dont like cooling sensation too..

ReplyDeleteugh, so jealous. lol. something i'd definitely want to try, cuz i love my black eyeliner.
ReplyDeleteBtw for getting this kajal removed was easy for me since the make remover i use is The Body Shop's camomile gentle eye make remover.
ReplyDeleteMitha- No, i doesn't.
ReplyDeleteBharti- That sounds good. I guess Anything oil-based would make it easier

Raey- atm, DHC Cleansing Oil. I put the link in the post. I love MAC's too, btw.

Bhumika- I guess that's inevitable with any pencil eyeliner. Some powder around eye area does help.
ReplyDelete♥xx♥
Prachi- Yes it's possible to draw a thin line when u use short strokes & apply it at an angle
ReplyDelete♥xx♥
aoyv- Of course I never forget that Lakme is great & all ours. I meant international brands don't come up with "special" products for the Indian market.

KBB- haha...oh don't be. Happens to me all the time ;D
