Color Block Makeup + MAC Chatterbox Lipstick

Color Blocking is all the rage now, but somehow it scares me a little bit. Mixing and matching doesn't come easily to me. I'd rather be safe in my black shoes and off-white walls. If I'm wearing yellow, I'm more likely to pick a yellow or black handbag over a red one, any given day.

It's a different story with make-up though. I didn't even think twice. I had a picture in my head and I started painting. I know I already did similar green eyes recently, but this is more green okay lol. I thought about doing blue but I don't know...too cool.

I chose to pair emerald green, peach & pink for this look. How brave am I?! ;). In the pic above I didn't line my waterline, which I think looks better in this type of look. But then I felt naked in a few minutes, and decide to line it anyways.

  • Face ~ Revlon Colorsaty Foundation, TBS Loose Powder, YSL Touche Eclat under eyes, Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer to conceal blemishes
  • Blush ~ MAC Peaches Sheertone Blush (applied heavily)
  • Eyes ~ Emerald green eyeshadow (BF 120 palette) on the lids & blended up to the crease, simmery white eyeshadow on brow bone, Bourjois Liner Feutre on upper lash line, Urban Decay Zero to tightline & on waterline, Kate Mascara Base, Bourjois Volumizer Mascara.
  • Lips ~ MAC Lipstick Chatterbox (amplified). I bought this recently.
Mac Chatterbox, Rs.990

Just put up this pic to show you something. Look at my forehead. See that map-like darkness under the surface. Ya, that's my enemy. Unwelcome/uninvited guest. Shoo!

So, what do you think about the color block trend? Yay or nay?

  1. Lovely green color! I didn't notice the map until you told us, I was just staring at the eye make up hee hee. Your map is smaller than mine :P

  3. And one more thing ... i used to think that i am the only one with face looking duller than other parts with make up but even your face looks a tad bit duller than your neck ....

  17. Super pretty look and yeah I think it looked better without liner, find the black distracts a bit, maybe a coloured liner would be better.

  25. I love this, actually. I love all the bright colors separately and together. I have to ask you, how do you take such wonderful pictures? Mine end up being so blurred and don't show colors properly even though the camera is a "professional" kind :( I use ISO setting, which is recommending for make-up pictures. I dont know if the lighting is not right or what. It really makes me sad :( lol

  26. amazingly gorgeous..btw are you wearing false lashes?if no,then your mascaras really good.

  34. aoyv- i take in natural daylight without flash. No idea wht ISO is lol

  35. I think ISO is along the line of Increased Sensitivity something? lol I think maybe I should clean the lense of the camera first :P I'll try to take in natural daylight. I usually take mine under bright lighting so it comes clearer, soemtimes it works other times its just faded

I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3
