How Much Makeup For the Doctor/Hospital?

I've been visiting my ENT doctor (at a hospital) every week lately, and it got me thinking, how much makeup is "appropriate" when going to a hospital?

I had been wearing the same amount/style of make-up which I would wear when I'm going shopping - Not too loud (says me), not too boring either. By boring, I mean not even a smidgen of eyeshadow =[

Okay, for the record, this look was meant to be a FOTD for Friday, but I had to visit the doc too that evening, so I just blotted my lipgloss and applied a matte lippie instead, coz, you know, I'd be opening my mouth and all. And yes, I would've gone sans the gold glitter too but it's not easy to remove in a jiffy without ruining the whole thing, so I had to leave it the way it was. But it was subtle, so the glitter wasn't that obvious.

Eyes :
I just applied a cream colored eyeshadow all over my lid and applied a medium brown eyeshadow and MAC Satin Taupe on my crease and dabbed a bit of gold shimmery cream eyeshadow on the center of my lids. I lined my upper lash line with Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner and winged it at the corners. Then I drew another wing on the outer most corner of my lash line. I lined my waterline with kajal, smudged it thicker on the outer corners. I also applied a shimmery pale yellow eyeshadow on the inner half of my lower lash line.
Maybelline Volum' Express Hyper Curl Mascara on Lashes

Face ~ Make Up For Ever HD Foundation #120, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural,
Blush~ Nars Orgasm
Lips ~ I first applied Etude House Color Me Nude Lip Concealer all over my lips, then applied MAC Lustreglass in Love Nectar

So, how much make-up would you wear to a hospital or when visiting your doctor? :)

  2. that's good make up! I don't think there is a limit to how much make up you can put on when visiting the hospital or going for a check up etc. I've seen people who are a lot more strange than heavy make up at the hospital lol

  5. Love the winged eyeliner..and I think your looks is just right. I know there is no such thing as appropriate to hospital look, but I would try something like this next time I go to my dentist..I never use any lip colour, though, because I know how irritating it is to get it on the gloves.

  14. Yr makeup is not at all OTT. In fact it perks up your natural beauty in a good way.

I generally just wear a moisturiser (if that counts as makeup) & a lip balm to the doctors.

  18. I am so glad that I discovered your blog. Just for information can you name all the shadows that you used and where you used them including the glitter 'cos i love this look and am dying to try it. Moreover maybe u can have a section where you name the products and the stores you pick them up from. It would help those of us who don't get around much.
