Every year Vaseline launches a Limited Edition lip balm. Last year it was Crème Brûlée, this year it's this one right here- Pink Bubbly. How cute is that name?! I adore the packaging too, very lingerie.
Before this was officially launched, Vaseline held a contest. They sent this tin, but with a plain unbranded lid, to selected UK beauty bloggers, asking them to design the lid & guess the name of the next Limited Edition Lip Therapy. What's most interesting was, they also sent them a few things as clues:
- A balloon
- A scented candle
- Pink Champagne Truffles in a heart-shaped box
- A champagne flute
- Etc.
The Winner + 1 winner's blog reader win a trip to Paris!
So cool, right? I would have loved to design that tin, and I wouldn't have done it for Paris =)
Sorry for posting so late! It's almost quarter past 5 pm over here, and I was hesitating to post this. But.....
Since so many of you were waiting eagerly for this review, I put it it at the top of my to-do list. Also, I want you to read it asap, coz I guess most if you ladies must have just gotten your paychecks a few days back & all ready to pounce on all the new beauties on the block ;)
What it is: A white BB Cream that changes color once it touches your skin, and adapts to your skin tone. A little flag next to it in the stores read "No.1 Selling Product in Indonesia". They mean in The Body Shop store, I'm assuming.
* BB stands for Blemish/Beauty Balm. Please read more about the purpose of BB Creams here
Shade: I am using 01. I picked 02 the first time, coz in my hurry to buy it I just saw 02 & 03, not knowing there's also a shade #01! I reached home, and googled. Found swatches, and saw 02 looked pinker than 01, so I decided to go exchange it while it's still sealed. Unfortunately, 01 wasn't in stock for weeks (even on the day I bought it), so I got my cash back & returned the BB Cream. Long story short: 01 was finally in stock and....and.... I got it for a little bit cheaper than the first time coz of some discount. Woohoo!
*All 3 shades are on the pinker side. No yellow undertones, which I prefer.
Here's a sneak peek of my new jewelry holder that I'm so in ♥ with.

These photos are from my old laptop. I went through them, and I almost didn't recognize the person in them. Where's that glossy hair?! Btw, it's a variation of Rihanna's Rockstar look posted in 2010 here. I don't know why I didn't put them up.
On the HOT SEAT today is Maybelline 24HR Color Tattoo Bad To The Bronze. These MAC Paintpot dupes have been launched in India.... *claps claps & whistles* .... Haven't we all been waiting to pounce on them?
This shade is actually called On & On Bronze in the UK, Bad To The Bronze in US & India. Why this is so baffles me! One make-up company can't be a team? Since they confuse & annoy us, I will annoy them too and say they are both not good names. I'm actually in a very good mood today =)
I decided to go with the name in India, coz this is an Indian beauty blog after all.
What it is: A gel-cream eyeshadow that claims to last for 24 hours without creasing, smudging or fading.
Bad To The Bronze/On And On Bronze shade: It is a metallic cool bronze color, with a hint of taupe.
Went to MAC in Fenwick (a dept. store like Debenham's) to buy 1 lipstick & 1 blush from the newly-launched Marilyn Monroe Collection.
Selected 1 lipstick- Love Goddess, 1 blush- The Perfect Cheek, False Lashes.
Calculated. Damn this Great British Pound!
Reluctantly put away the False Lashes.
Paid for the other 2 products and left store..... feeling very uneasy.
Stopped about 4 steps away from the entrance.
Stood there for 10 minutes....thinking.... thinking.....staring, but not really looking, at the flowers in a florist shop nearby.
Time to go back..... to MAC, yes.
5 minutes later, paid for (False lashes) (Charmed, I'm Sure) Scarlet Ibis.
Left store..... smiling this time.
Ooh.... fuchsia pink & yellow carnations!
This is the very very interesting product I mentioned here. The Revlon Hollywood Lighted Make-up Mirror! This is the stuff!
We have only 2 mirrors in this rented house - one in the bathroom over the sink, and one in the bedroom. So, I really really needed a mirror in the other bedroom to do my make-up. I wanted something small, and something that I can carry back to India when the time comes. And this one is perfect, coz it can be folded flat, and weighs 950g. Plus, I didn't have to play handyman, and make holes on the wall.
MAC presents 4 lipsticks for Indian women!
Lipsticks go lush in full-bodied shades inspired by the sultry tones of India. Be marvelous in Mehr’s rosy mauve, or for a more dramatic look, try Tabla for a rich chocolate brown. Yash is luxurious and chic in a soft sandy neutral and Double Shot promises to keep you savvy in chestnut.
Yash - Deep neutral (matte)
Mehr - Dirty blue pink (matte)
Double Shot - Full bodied mocha cream (amplified)
Tabla - Chocolate brown (amplified
Yes, this is MAC's best collection- in my books, and I won't have to tell you why.
Oh-my-bows, I want everything! So many things in my Christmas wishlist forgotten!
If you want pink & cute.... If you adore cutesy Korean/Etude House make-up products.... if you believe in Cruelty-Free make-up products.....take a look at The Body Shop Lily Cole Collection! All products are Limited Edition, so if you fancy anything, go get them before they are going.... gone!
Okay, I really look like a nerd there. Please excuse the semi-wet hair with the frizzy ends. I'd just washed it, and dashed out the door. These are car pics, and I didn't plan to post them, but I ended up really liking the makeup, especially the blush which I applied a lot more than usual.
Now I don't need to wear glasses, I only wear them "for fashion" Although, my left eye is quite weak. If I cover my right eye, things get blurry, especially when I look far. It's also the eye that turns to Tokyo, when I'm looking at China. It's a weird eye.
What I learned? More is more. I think four-eyed beauties can get away with overdone make-up. I did my eyes a whole lot darker than they appear in these photos. Lips have got to be bright, so skip the n*de lippies.
I love to click pictures of beautiful & unusual things. Every once in a while, I'd like to share with you things that I really like, beautiful things but unrelated to make-up..... things Beyond Vanity. I find fun & creative things very inspiring, and I hope they inspire you too.
I'd like to start with the Jean Paul Gaultier Diet Coke cans. I don't drink Coke, or any other aerated drink, for that matter. I love my tea. But Mr.CZ can't live without Diet Coke/Pepsi. He got these the other day, and showed me the 'cute & different' packaging. My jaw dropped. I had just seen a weird photo about Jean Paul Gaultier for Coke in the recent magazines. You know, the one where some girl is holding Gaultier's head? I mean, photo of his head? I had no idea that this is what it's all about. These cans are gorgeous!
There are 2 types of cans designed by Jean Paul Gaultier- Day & Night. These are 'Night' cans, featuring Gaultier's iconic corset and cone bra design. The 'Day' cans feature Gaultier's signature Breton blue & white stripes. I like the 'Night' ones better.
I was at Boots yesterday, and saw these blatant copies of eos Lip Balms, except Balmi spheres come attached with key chains!
