Mac Cremeblend Blush ~ So Sweet, So Easy Review & Swatches

MAC has decided to relaunch the Cremeblend blushes that came out with In Lillyland Collection, and discontinue Blushcremes. It doesn't affect me coz the Blushcreme shades I like will be converted to Cremeblend.

Mac Cremeblend Blush in So Sweet, So Easy is a bright yellow pink which looks very bubblegum-ey. It is quite sheer and needs to be layered for it to show. I reach for this only when I'm feeling 'pink', but don't want very rosy cheeks. I'd say it is a warmer-toned & cream version of MAC Pink Swoon Powder Blush

Likes:
♥ Pigmented but doesn't feel heavy
♥ Fragrance- free, except for a slight powdery smell
♥ Non-sticky
♥ Dries to a matte finish
♥ Creamy, smooth, & blends effortlessly
Dislikes:
- So Sweet, So Easy is not a shade I'd wear everyday. It's a pink which doesn't blend in well with my natural flush.

MAC Cremeblend Blush So Sweet, So Easy

How Cremeblend compares to Blushcreme: Cremeblend blush is definitely lighter than Blushcreme, which is heavier and more sticky. Cremeblend has a nicer feel than Blushcreme too. Like I said before, Cremeblend is better for oily skin & during summers.

Swatches ~ L-Blended, R- Unblended

I wore this blush in the Romantic FOTD

The New Cremeblend Blushes
"For every contour control freak, for every persistent perfectionist comes this wondrous way to play with blush that gives you the most magnificent flexibility you’ve ever had…Starts creamy, stays creamy and proves once and for all that powder is NOT your only prerogative. You can get back to a new build for that retro “rouge” look Old Hollywood Glamour made modern or stop at subtle and natural; it’s all in your hands. In three aspects, two shades of each: One matched to skin, one for a brighter glow and one darker for cream contouring, it’s perfect for all skin colours, minus the silicone, particularly adept at preventing ashiness on darker complexions. Make powdery a thing of the past."

Cremeblend Blush Shades to be released this Spring:
So Sweet, So Easy ~ Bright yellow pink
Something Special ~ Light coral
Posey ~ Warm peach
Ladyblush ~ Warm neutral coral
Brit Wit ~ Dusty rosy mauve
Tea Petal ~ Mid-tone reddish brown

I'm interested in 'Something Special- Light coral'
Price ~ In Lillyland Cremeblend blushes were priced at Rs.1080, Blushcreme blushes at Rs.1050. So not sure how much the Cremeblend blushes will cost this time around.
Buy again? Yes, yes. Especially coz of the demise of the Blushcremes.

  1. this looks exactly like MUFE HD blush in #5. In fact Joie-de-vivre is the dupe for #6. I honestly don't know how to feel about cremeblend blushes, but since I have so much faith in you - I'll take your word ;)
Honestly, I love these but their shelf life is very limited due to bacteria spread.

  2. They discontinued lilicent :( It was mmy favourite blush...iv heard that the creme blend formula is much better than the blushcreme one..as in easier to apply....is that true? I will definitely be picking one up once theyr launched

  3. AOYV- I think if u use clean brushes n fingers everytime, it's fine. I love cream blushes so I try not to think of bacteria lol. Yup it is similar to MUFE #5. Joie-de-vivre is darker than #6 I think, but quite similar

  4. Pnb- I'm sure u'll find a similar or better shade. Yes, it's easier to blend than Blushcreme cos it's less sticky

  5. I've never tried high-end cream blushes. I'm afraid they'll expire on me before I even use up 50% of what's in the pan, lol. I'd like to see Brit Wit in person though, I've been lovin' the look of mauve-y blushes!

  9. Rajni- Brit Wit is gorgeous! Many times I almost bought it, although I'm sure it'd be too dark for me :)

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one. I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3

Thank you for reading! :)
