I couldn't resist getting the Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Black Magic even though I rarely use like the Moonlit Jewels which came in the old packaging. What drew me to Black Magic was the white shadow. There's something about a white cream eyeshadow in a pan rather than a pencil.
Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow - Black Magic
Color 1- Silver, Color 2- Cool Pink with Lilac Shimmer
Color 3- Black with silver shimmer, Color 4- Milky white
Likes:
♥ Can be used as eyeshadow bases
♥ Available in lovely shades
♥ Pretty-looking compact palette with matching colors on the outside and a handy mirror
♥ They don't irritate my eyes, even when I applied the black and the white on my waterline.
♥ The black shade can double up as a liner (The white, on the other hand, does not stay on the waterline.)
♥ They are Nyx Jumbo Pencils in a pan. Dupes, you can say.
♥ Price. Rs.485 is okay for 4 shadows & the pretty packaging I think.
Dislikes:
- They crease. A LOT!
- Make my lids look oily/greasy
- They smudge
- They aren't as pigmented as I thought they'd be. Probably coz they're *too* creamy & don't stay put.
The things I 'Dislike' about these are pretty much expected from cream eyeshadows, so I don't think it's fair to diss them too much. Bottomline- I wouldn't dare to wear these on their own.

Buy again? I doubt it. I really wanted Not Just Nudes, but it wasn't available in Westside (or all over India? I'm not sure). I might get that.

ReplyDeleteI think the shades are really pretty! But the creasing part is definitely a turn off...and I'm pretty sure I will get bad creasing cos of my really oily lids..LOL...Thanks for the review and swatches..
