It's Our Birthday! Make A Wish.....

Today, the 13th of August, is this blog's birthday. One year ago, I published my first review on Delhi's Beauty Addict ~ Vaseline Healthy White Body Lotion =D

I was gonna put up a video, but it would take forever to upload it on YT coz of my slow connection :[

So, just 2 photos for now. That is a golf course in my hometown, Shillong.

Now on to a photo that has a whole lot of meaning.......

That's a wishing well, from which all the money collected goes to charity.
In that particular wish right there, I wished that:

"The wishes of all those who read this post today (13th August), will come true."

So go ahead..... Ask for that one thing you want so desperately.
I truly hope that it comes true :)

Thanks all! Blogging has been a joyride, mostly because of you.

Enjoy your weekend & stay fabulous!

Perfect Radiance By Lakme

Lakme has come up with its very own fairness range. I tried the Perfect Radiance Foundation at a store a month ago, and almost bought it but refrained coz I wanted to check it out on the net first. Why is it that nowadays it seems blasphemous to buy a product without checking it out on the internet first?

I am already drawn to the packaging of these with all the pink! :)

'Would You Rather' Tag + LOTD

I have been tagged by  Fathima  to answer these nightmarish but fun questions:

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?
Nice Make-up. Always. I don't even comb my hair sometimes lol

2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?
Ahhhh...!!! *shiver* I guess shave my eyebrows, then I just get tattoos drawn on there.

3.Would you rather forget to put Mascara on 1 eye or Blush on one side of your face?
Blush on one side of my face. I'll apply the lippie from my lips on the other side, or just wipe off the blush.

4.Would you rather shop all Lakme products or all Streetwear for a whole year?
Lakme.

5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
Overdone blush, which could be an "in" makeup look, unlike a mask looking foundation :D

6.Would you give up your makeup for one year or your Internet for one year?
Ahhh....!!!^O^ That's like asking if I'd rather be a social butterfly or a loner! I could not give up makeup for a day, let alone a year! So I'd rather be looking pretty reading the newspaper (by the pool please) than looking plain with dark circles around my eyes... hehe

8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?

Bad hair color...umh...yup....I think so >.<

9. Would you rather have you tube or twitter taken away forever?
I could live without Twitter

10.Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?
*Thinking HARD!* I'd give up mascara. Falsies can make up for mascara, but fingers can't do what brushes can.

*I tag Rima Kaur, Sonali, Anamika, Palak, Shifa, Tammy, Witoxicity, Sara H, Lisa, Sarah Ali, Tanveer, and everyone reading this. C'mon, I dare ya! ;D

On to my LOTD......At a restaurant on my friend's birthday....before the Bloody Mary(s) started coming in ;)

♥ Thanks for reading & Have a fun week y'all ♥

Colorbar Just Earth Blush Review, Photos & Swatches

This is especially for Poornima & Ki, who wanted to see swatches of Just Earth

Colorbar's Just Earth is an earthy deep peach shade with brown undertones, which would match both warm and cool skin tones.
It is, in my opinion, a universally flattering blush shade and also one of the best 'budget buys' for only Rs.250.
Like I said in my July Favorites post, the finish is very similar to the MAC Sheertone blushes.

It comes packed in a grey compact case with a soft brush and mirror

Friends, Babies & The Bodycon Dress

With the birthday girl Giselle, my latest CRUSH!

I attended my closest friends' niece's 1st birthday a few days back and couldn't help a wee bit of cam wh**ing ;).
Sorry about the quality of the photos. Didn't realize the settings were changed to 3 megapixel instead of 5.

Friends

With my childhood friend Careen. Isn't her dress pretty?!

My Outfit:
Black Bodycon Dress ~ Forever New
Lacy under-tube top ~ Glory's Plaza, a mall in Shillong which sells stuff mostly from Bangkok & Nepal.
Black Leather Belt ~ Street for only Rs.150 :). BAD quality! It almost broke after only 2-3 times (Super glue to the rescue since I didn't bring another black belt :D)
Shoes ~ Vincci
Diamante Hoop Earrings ~ Miss Jo (It's an accessories store in Delhi, not a woman as assumed by some who emailed me about those umbrellas :D )

The lighting is so off in this photo, but for the make-up I stuck to simple smoky eyes with  MAC Satin Taupe, a shimmery off-white eyeshadow and black eyeshadow from the NYX Supermodel palette, Revlon Beyond Natural falsies, MUFE HD Foundation, Mixed Maybelline Dream Matte Powder & MAC Prep+Prime Transparent Powder, MAC Pink Swoon Blush. Applied the In2it Pink Alarm Lipstick

I wish I was young enough to say 'Toodles' like some of the PYT's over here. I can't even bring myself to say  that word :D
So I'll stick to 'Bye & have a happy weekend'  :)

High on Colorbar's Apple Martini

The hottest Colorbar nail color of the season is the Apple Martini #06.

A few weeks back, I was browsing Colorbar nail lacquers at a store in Gk M-block market, and a salesgirl showed me the new shades that Colorbar just launched at the time. She showed me 5 (orange, yellow, light blue, purple, pink)  and told me "one shade is sold out"
Me ~ Aacha? What color is it??? *thinking sold out means ''must-have!"*
She ~ Green. Bahut soondar color hai (very pretty color)
Me ~ Don't you have a tester or something???? *I must see it nowww!*
She ~ Oh....ek minute
She called another salesgirl and told her to show me her nails.
Weird-looking nails. LOVELY nail color =D
Me ~ *pouting*
End of story.

Another story with a happy ending is one week later, I got it from the Colorbar stand-alone store in Select City Walk ;)

It was tough to capture the true color of this gorgeous shade, so I had to adjust the lighting. I don't know why the green just didn't come out on camera.

I'd call it an emerald color if it didn't have a fancy name like 'Apple Martini'
Price ~ Rs.190? 195? (forgot)

Hope you're all doing good. Have a fun week....and stay pretty!

Sheer Cover Minerals Photos

This is for all those who've asked me what I think about Sheer Cover. This is my friend's and I have not used it personally, but she does like it a lot. And I must admit, I was quite impressed with the packaging and all the extra free stuff that came along with it, including a compact lipgloss/eyeshadow palette, small kabuki brush in a black satin pouch, etc.

Sheer Cover is quite *hot* in my hometown. Women order it and impatiently wait for its arrival! =D

What people I know who use it have to say about it:

  • "It gives a natural look"
  • "It covers all dark spots and patches"
  • Everything is *sooo* cute! :)
The following photos are of Sheer Cover ~ Medium
