Lakmé Studio Gave Me Model Hair & Tuxedo Nails

On Day-3 of Lakmé Fashion Week, I got to try out Lakmé Studio's 'Ultimate Blow Dry'. It was amazing, especially since I hardly spend time on styling my hair most times. Take a look at the transformation......

I couldn't decide what to wear with this peach sorbet coat & it's too cold to leave my thighs totally bare. Nah, black or brown tights are too predictable. So, last minute, I thought of these over-the-knee stockings with animal print accents I bought many years ago but never worn (well...maybe once ahem.) I wore them that way & was not appalled. I think they add a little girly to the otherwise man-nish style.

My Indian Bridal Wear: Sneak Peek

Here's a sneak peek of what I wore on my our Indian wedding day in 2007. Years ago, but it seems like yesterday. You know? I haven't seen the lehenga & jewelry since then coz they weren't with me, I just collected them about 2 weeks back. I had forgotten what they look like!

I bargained - Rs.500 (Rule when haggling: Always cut the price in half)

I gradually took it up to Rs.800, but SA stuck to Rs.990, but in the end agreed to 950.

I would have paid upto Rs.2500 for them but still, I like to win when bargaining. Don't we all?

Studded Suede Booties: Guess The Price!

I bought them recently. I bargained, SA stuck to his price, I left store hoping he'll budge and call me to come back (an age old tactic), he DIDN'T (basta....!), I went back in a few minutes to take the shoes and pay his price.

Anniversary, Forever New Dress & Bow Shoes

Do you have a really nice girlie dress or top you cannot wear because it's too revealing? For me, it's this dress. It's the most feminine dress I have & I'm in love with the creme de menthe color, but it is very low in the front + it's made like a corset, so it pushes up the twins up too much, like 'Woah!' If you want to go from A to C, this is the type of neckline you should look for.

I wore it on our 4th wedding anniversary, 2 days back. We were staying in, so I wore it for the first time since I bought it- maybe 2 years ago! =\

I don't want the moral police to come get me, so I thought of clever ways to cover what's inappropriate ;)

I was going to put up these photos separately long back, but since the both outfits are the same color, I decided to put them together & save some time.

Guess Campaign Inspired LOTD

I could stare at  Guess models/ads for hours. The cat eyes...the clothes....the high heels....and the black & white pics. I just love 'em! Guess Spring Campaign 2011 has models with smokey eyes, thick winged eyeliner & nude lips. I thought I'd do a similar look on myself and have some fun.

*Now I'm not saying I look like a Guess model. Duh! I just like to play dress up and pretend I am one =D

My back hurts because of all the crawling and setting the timer on the camera, then going back to stretching on the floor again. Some out of focus pics had nothing but limbs haha...

Shoe Haul ~ 8 Pairs At A Reasonable Price

I said I'll show you the shoes I hauled in Malaysia, so here they are:

Vincci, RM 79.00 (Rs.1185.00) ~ These were picked for me by a salesgirl just coz they're Size 3, which they don't have much of. I tried them on and they looked quite sexy (I don't like using that word to describe things, but that's what I thought at the time.)

TSC, RM 99.90 (Rs.1499.00) ~ The hottest black shoes I own, but uncomfortable as hell! My heels keep slipping out. I wore these in this LOTD here

Not Just About The Strappy Booties

I'm day-dreaming about shoes these days, coz I haven't been to a shoe store since last year, I think. For those of you who just started reading my blog and thinking wth, I've got small feet and don't find shoes especially here in India, so I don't even bother entering the shops.

My wishlist gets longer everyday. I want so many types, so many colors. Why, why isn't my husband a shoemaker???!!! And why, why isn't Jimmy Choo my father???!!!

Since I'll be shoe shopping again soon-ish I thought I'd show you the pair I bought last time. 

• Black Strappy Booties ~ Vincci. Rs.2500. I think. I've never worn these outside, but have modeled in them many times at home ;)
• Necklace ~ Big Jo's. Forgot how much exactly, I think around Rs.900
• Gold metal bag ~ Big Jo's, Rs.idontremember. Maybe 1200 or 2000, I don't know lol.

Both necklace & bag I bought, almost impulsively & desperately, during a last minute shopping for a graduation party, many years ago. Literally a few hours before the party and yes, I didn't reach the party on time and also couldn't accept a certain 'award'. Sigh! They remind me every time I look at them.

Weisberger Shoebox

Count on me to buy anything that comes in a shoe box. I almost bought a set of Sex and the City dvds coz they came in a cute black/pink shoebox, even though I already had all the dvds. Come to think of it, I will sell mine on Ebay and buy the shoebox. It will save storage space too, no? Ya, that's what I'll tell hubby.

This is Weiberger Shoe : Box Set from Flipkart, which I ordered a few days back. It reached me in 4 days. Very well-packed (although annoying when unwrapping it, I must admit) I LOVE Flipkart. The books always look so new, unlike those from bookstores :\

I didn't really want to read the books. Reading The Devil Wears Prada after I'd already seen the movie seems like a waste of time, and on top of that the others are so-so I heard? Whatever, back to the shoe box. How cute! *squeal* I had to have it! I thought it was going to be big enough to fit a pair of my own shoes, but nah...it's too small- 51/2 X 8 inches. Kids' shoes maybe.

Outfit & Look Of The Day

Can you believe I've got just one item of clothing from Forever 21? I don't know, I've never seen something I liked & up close some of the clothes just don't look that great. I always ended up buying just jewelry or some other type of accessories, but recently I found a skirt I liked. It's this Pleated Animal Print Skirt....

For The Love Of Bows ~ Shoes & Belt

Okay, here's my first post dedicated to bows. You know I heart them! =)

These are one of the pairs I got when I was on vacay, and I love them so much! Yes, because of the bows, of course! A tad loose but nothing Dr.Scholl's can't fix hehe...

Actually, the bows don't look bluish grey at all! It's just on camera. Their color is almost exactly like the shoes.

I was at a department store & I accidentally found a belt that matches the shoes :)
