Draped in magnificent bridal creation by  eminent designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee and complimented perfectly by  exquisite jewellery by Cappuccino  Collections, these three gorgeous models were transformed into the most beautiful brides by Lakmé Studio experts Sudeep Grover and Pallavi Symons. They demonstrated distinct Punjabi, Tamil and Muslim bridal hair and make-up on each of these gorgeous models. Each look  not only defined their  distinct personality but also represented their rich traditional attributes.

Talking about MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner, I am guessing Lakme LLC was inspired by it. If so, then I'm so proud of Lakme for kind of nailing it. The texture... the smell- almost ditto. So if you're looking for a MAC TLC dupe, you might want to check these out.

A few differences: Mac TLC is more balmy & Lakme LLC is more glossy, Mac TLC has SPF 15 & Lakme LLC has SPF 12, Lakme LLC is more glossy & Mac TLC is more balmy.

You see what I mean about balmy & glossy? Bottomline is, they're still very very similar. So for me, it's "Goodbye MAC TLC!" Well, unless they come up with a shade I won't be able to resist (and cuter packaging!) I've always thought they were overpriced, so you can imagine my 'Hallelujah moment'

Now back to Lakme Lip Love Conditioner ~ As a lip balm addict, I adore them! Cute packaging, delicious content & my lips love them (or they love my lips?) I'm definitely buying more.

One dislike about Lakme LLC : Shade names are not printed on the jars. One can get confused, especially if they plan to launch more shades. I stuck the sticker from the seal on one, so I wouldn't make a mistake while swatching them. Maybe a little red heart sticker on the side with the shade name on it? :)

Simple Fantasy Look

To be honest, this is an unplanned look. I wanted to try my new Inglot Pure Pigment #22 (purple with gold), and decided to complete the look, put on a butterfly necklace on my head, and call it a Fantasy Look ;). I know I look more bohemian, but I chose to ignore that lol. Potato potahto.

Actually I did want to do a look inspired by the Lakme Fantasy Collection, so I guess this comes close to the look I had in mind.

Lakme Fantasy Collection Cheek Artist Kiss Of A Rose

Two shades of Cheek Artist were launched with the Lakme Fantasy Collection ~ Peach Blush & Kiss Of A Rose. I wanted both of them from the start. They are a set. They belong together. On my dresser too.

Kiss Of A Rose is a dusty rose shade which, on me, is a MCBB blush. Arre, baba, My Cheeks But Better. So natural it looks, just like after jogging effect. I toh thought it would look so dark on me, but it doesn't, thanks God.

Sorry, I guess Butterfly is rubbing off on me. I am currently reading The Diary of A Social Butterfly by Moni Mohsin. Have you read it? She's freakin' hilarious!

Okay, seriously now, I like this blush a lot. It looks really natural and goes with everything. It is matte and has no shimmer (which Peach Blush has.) Blends like a dream, and stays put for hours. It would suit most skin tones as well.

Lakme Gold Dust Shimmer Bronzer - Look & Review

I did a look with the Lakme Gold Dust Shimmer Bronzer from the Fantasy Collection. I used only that on my cheeks and no blush. 

*Please note that I applied more so that the shade would show on camera.

How to apply: Because it's shimmery, I didn't want to use a dense brush, so I use a small stippling brush/ Duo fibre (Sigma F55). I swirled the brush all over the bronzer and applied it on my cheekbones, nose, chin, jawline,temples and collarbone.

Lakme Cheek Artist Peach Blush Review, FOTD & How To Apply It

I've been using nothing but Lakme Cheek Artist Peach Blush for the past 1 week, and the verdict is in. 

I have used a blush like this a while back, No7 Blush Tint Cream Blush, which I adored. So this brings back good memories (of the blush and shopping at Boots in London)

♥ Very silky, smooth, glossy and moisturizing. I like the finish of these better than YSL Rouge Volupte Lipsticks. What?! Yes, I really do.

♥ Pretty long-wear. They don't wear off completely, but leave a tint on lips

♥ Inexpensive at Rs.225

Dislikes:

- Smell. I've mentioned the smell in my first review of these lippies. It bothers me now because I want to wear one of these a lot. The best way I can describe it is old-fashioned classic lipstick scent. 

- Packaging. It's nice, but I wish they had prettified them a little for this collection at least.

I LOVE these. I can't stop gushing over them. Consistency & finish are top notch. Not too thick, not too runny & very glossy. Brush is the ideal size, which makes application effortless & almost smudge-free. Most importantly. they dry quickly. 

The shades, oh-my-pêche! The best shades from Lakmé, in my opinion. They are perfect for summer. I adore all of them, especially 250. I reckon #251 will be on my toenails all year.

THE FANTASY COLLECTION BY GAURI AND NAINIKA PRESENTED BY LAKMÉ AT THE GRAND FINALE OF THE LAKMÉ FASHION WEEK SUMMER/RESORT 2011 SEASON 

WAS A SENSATIONAL END TO THE EVENT 

March 15, 2011, Mumbai: It was the most eagerly awaited event which ended the vibrant and busy Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2011 season. The Grand Finale show featuring designers Gauri and Nainika renowned for their stunning creations was presented by Lakmé at a starry elegant extravagant evening.

The Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Hotel was turned into a veritable Fantasyland as it came alive with butterflies and birds cutouts suspended from the ceiling. The backdrop of trees and snaking vines around the arched entry of the ramp along with the throbbing strobe lights set the scene for the fantastic show.

To the strains of the ABBA classic “I have a Dream”, Amrit Maghera descended from the ceiling reclining on a sliver of a new moon to open the opulent fashion presentation.

Gauri and Nainika the designing duo known for their glamorous Red Carpet collections dazzled the audience with 31 creations inspired by the colour cosmetic line Fantasy by Lakmé.

With stunning eye-catching creations and selection of elegant fabrics, colours, construction and silhouettes, the creative pair showed a breathtaking line of gorgeous evening wear with form fitting bodices that reflected the many moods of a woman. Unbelievable metres of diaphanous tulle, silk and French lace moulded with horse hair and can-can gave the outfits a surreal look.
